those americans were lucky they didnt face the cubans from the 90's and even the brazilians who won gold. the current cuban team lost most of their superlative players to retirement and/or injury. only ruiz remained.

you know I'm all for the Cuban women, but I like your argument very much!! You're right, we can at least give them that much, they deserve it, and a win is a win, even if it is against someone's favorite team...good way to make a point!! =)

this was an amazing game, i'm a big fan of cuba women volleyball. i'm also an american and i was very proud of our us women!!

to be honest it wasn't an amazing game becasue the cuban women were doing horrible. After the preliminaries they played terribly, had they continued playing the way they did at the beginning of the tournament, they might have gotten first. Perhaps next time these two countries compete in volleyball a truly more impressive match will be displayed. It was extremely disappointing to see the Cubans lose.

americans got lucky actually the cuban performs better .We expect that it would be Cuba vs Brazil for gold nahh it never happened .well the brazillian girls got the gold easy.

@80896817 I don't think that its the fact that they aren't skilled now, because that same team that just lost not only beat the U.S.A earlier in the same tournament, but also has beaten Brazil in other instances, so I think its the fact that they just weren't having a good day overall.

they got so lucky that its not even funny!!! I mean the Cuban women were committing such blund errors, it seemed at times as if it was staged, not to say it was.
