I did not pay that much more for my rig and monitor. Not even twice as much as I would for an 1080P LCD TV and PS3 system. So I cant take an argument about the price as an relevant one. BR reader is not going to do me any good, I will buy an recorder in it's time. And also I will buy any other new part or gizmo, they develop, because PC is scalable. And I'm playing on 2560x1600, not 1920x1090. And my PC is also able to edit HDvideo and sound and many more less demanding tasks. What can you do?

I'm so glad my gaming experience is not limited by hardware I'm playing my games on. Real hardcore simulator scene is on PC and always will be. Consoles was created so even people without any computer knowledge or skill can play computer games. And it is ok, if you are 12. When boys grow up they want more than choppy and arcadish games. And than they dish out some real money for parts and build a real gaming rig. I play RFactor 2560x1600x32, 16AA and all setting maxed at min 55fps. Flame me now.

Playstation has a USB hud in its console. For anyone that doesn't know, USB stands for Universal System Bus, meaning that anything with a USB adapter can obviously work with anything USB. So to answer everyone's question, yes, you just plug and play and you're on your jolly way
