Believe me the day I heard it was Cleveland coming to Baltimore - part of me said, no don't do this - we felt guilty as well, but knowing that the team history, colors & name were not being taken away made it seem at least stomachable

The difference jerk - was that Baltimore, and Modell - left teh team name, colors & history behind - and poor Cleveland only had to wait - what 3 years for another franchise, and stadium - where Baltimore was without a team for over 13 years and looking as if it would never get one again. .

The NFL was never, NEVER, going to give Baltimore another franchise - we were being teased by Tagliabue for years with promises of jump through this hoop and maybe, okay jump through another hoop and maybe - so Baltimore did resort to looking for a franchise that wanted a new home.
