  • Wheres federer now?! LOL GO NOVAK!

  • Federer: Beat this! (shot between the legs!)

    Djokovic: WTF?!

  • Guys I have a question, which one is better this tweener or the one Roger did against Dabul?

  • @itsMUSICY This one. The stage was bigger, the stakes were higher, it was a Top 5 player, and it was in front of a packed house.

  • @itsMUSICY - Santoro's @usopen2005 Vs Federer!

  • I still remember when the crowd in Flushing Meadows used to boo and jeer Federer when he was playing against Agassi, Roddick, and other US players. They'd cheer when he made errors or lost points.

Now they cheer him on and give him full support. That tells you the worldwide appeal of this guy and what he has done for tennis, when he has the support of the crowds in all 4 Grand Slam tournaments. He and Nadal have brought tennis to a wider audience, and that would be one of their many legacies.

  • Guillermo Vilas (:

  • AND then ... federer is 3rd and JOKOVIC is 2nd :)

  • roger makes it look so easy but its not

  • Now Nole is the best. Federer isn't the king we know. Now his time as invicible is over, but we must remember Federer as the best ever. I'm a tennis fan, and I'm fallen in love for his talent. I prefer Roger and Djokovic than Nadal, and I hope Rafa will be 3rd in ranking, below Djoko and King Roger :D

  • @brom989 - I honestly don't know about being the best ever. If you look just at stats, well, yes, but those can be a bit tricky to be interpretated. I keep on thinking that ATP during the 90's was harder, with more great players. So we'll never know who's the best ever. I put him among the best players ever.

  • @Rimpianto you're italian? If yes, I'll answer you in italian, my language :D

  • @brom989 Right , Djokovic and Nadal are a one step than Roger RIGHT NOW , but wait and please mark my words .... you haven't seen nothing yet from Roger.

  • djok-strap.on-ovich

  • What the analyst really wanted to say: "Kerin....HOW THE FUCK DID HE DO THAT?!?!?!"

  • Federer should have hit the balls to the crowd between his legs

  • great short frm greatest player of tennis

  • When you watch the end about Del Potro vs. Nadal, you know Nadal's been lucky to have Del Potro out this year, Davydenko playing badly, and Djoker and Murray shaky against him as well.

  • how is this best shot ever! no way near as good as feds smash from the smash against roddick that's best shot ever!

  • Darth Federer!!

  • mansour bahrami used to hit shots like this all the time, iirc.

He had way more antics and tricks than federer did - no wonder he's the only court jester.

Not to take away from this shot, though. But it's right out of mansour's book. It's called the hot dog shot after him, iirc again

  • I have seen lot of matches of federer..most of the time losers after the match, when they come to shake hand with federer ,they seem to be happy rather than being sad....becoz they just lost the best..thats it....

  • Boring commentators

  • an incredible shot!!:D

  • i think if he finished the game with the "greatest shot" everyone would be like OMFG!

  • fuck del potro should have been federer's that would give him 17!!! arghhhhh

  • just classic. the beauty of tennis!

  • psh...come on djokocvic could have won the point but he knows he lost so hes just feeding it for federer for that shot. its quite obvious. there's nothing clearly amazing about this shot. its only great to see coz its never done often since shots like these are played rarely.

  • @ChatrboxCB

    hahahahaha....

so people just play between the legs shots all the time do they..?

BOW DOWN TO THE MASTER THAT IS ROGER FEDERER!!

  • @ChatrboxCB You're a hilarious troll

  • channel 9 sucks monkey balls, they didnt even show the finals live..

  • The shot seen round the world. It was so incredible being there.

  • The shot seen round the world. It was so incredible being there.

  • LOL, Starwars in the background.. Priceless

  • Djokovic's problem was that he wasn't even ready. No stance, nothing. He justed walked up to the net. He coulda got that if he was at least ready.

  • Love the reaction from Roger's dad.

  • i dont know why everyones getting a boner over it...i swear hes done this shot before, to tim henman

  • almost correct, but i think the henman shot he was looking at henman, on this one hes not looking at the field..... either way he's amazing

  • @narusku4

With all due respect but Roger can not be compared with any one

  • i know that, what im saying is that i feel as if he has done this shot before...but everyone is acting like its the first time hes done it

  • @narusku4

you right but maybe becuase it is very accurate shot

  • See how low the ball was to the ground and then creeps over the net, wow, unreal. I'm glad i can see i've seen the greatest tennis player ever in my lifetime.

  • Fed = pure class

  • either this shot or the one against Roddick, you know, the one where roddick smashes it and federer comes from no where for a winner are Federers greatest shots ever! To be honest theres probably 4 or 5 more shots that he's done that are in the same league as this one, he's just too good.

  • sshhhhhhhhhhh

    genius at work

  • BEST SHOT OF ALL TIME..it has to be...

The shot itself and the timing of the shot (grand slam semi final, to bring up match points)..make it the best shot of all time...

  • No matter how you feel about the shot, it was magical...i was there. Haha, I remember Nole hitting that lob and my brother shouting "HIT THE 'TWEENER!!!!!" as Federer was running to get it.....ismply amazing....i'll never forget that moment....made my life.

  • you can consider him god of tennis...as well as Rafael Nadal.....great rivalries between them two...like Kobe - Lebron rivalries in the world of basketball

  • He sets up triple match point with this shot, that's why it's so special.

  • If it would have been match point then maybe I could see your point. Still wasn't the best shot. And nothing would change my mind

  • Myeah, the American media 'sensationalized' this shot, it's still special though.

  • uffffffffff,q tal leccion le dio a djokovic. en el usopen siempre le gana al serbio con unos puntos de fantasia.

  • i love u roger!

  • Joker treated this match as a formality. No heart.

  • I love you Roger

  • asomm"¡¡¡¡

  • omg roger's dad looks so funny XDDD

  • "No way!"

  • The difference here: Djokovic does a decent shot, thinks his work is done, and decides to cruise out the rest of the point. Federer does a mind-blowingly amazing shot, and is still on his toes to receive anything that Djokovic throws back at him. That's why Federer is the best player ever.

  • @OswaldCornelius Oh, so that's why Djokovic raped Federer three times this year? He made him look like a child in Dubai. Get your facts straight, Federer is on of the best players ever but he can be beaten, as Djokovic has demonstrated so kindly in 2011...

  • @OswaldCornelius best ever??

  • You know, Vilas invented that shot, its called "La Gran Willy"

  • federer! WOW this man is not a man hes a god

  • then he loses to del potro.. w t f

  • True, but Del Potro was playing his best. Check out the Nadal VS Del Potro US Open 2009 if you don't believe me,

    MegaTennismaster

  • You know, if that shot happened earlier in the match, maybe like the first couple of games, I could see every commentator saying: "Novak should just shake hands and go home right now." LOL!

  • It's not his most unbelievable shot ever, but it was stunning.

  • fuc king star wars music

  • great play, its kinda common hitting the ball between the legs, but hitting a winner with this is very impressive.

  • RF the greatest tennis player EVER!!!

  • and that's why he's roger federer.

  • it takes a lot for RF to impress RF

    yeah absolutly !!

  • He had that with a lot of speed..

I would worry about literally breaking my balls trying that out.

  • rofl? hating federer for being ecstatic after an incredible shot when other players would have probably gone wilder?

fed is probably like one of the least arrogant players on the court there ever was. djokovic normally celebrates more arrogantly if you observed.

del potro is extremely modest though and good for him that he won but you were hoping fed lost because of how he jumps when he celebrates? rofl..

  • i know, celebrates ecstatically (and probably less so than most players) for what he describes as 'the best shot of his life' - totally reasonable

  • yeah. and that keji guy seems to hate federer for letting his emotions take over occasionally .. lol.

  • Roger Federer Best !!!! Roger Federer love love love....

  • why do you care=?? nerd!!

  • are you kidding

  • So ein Schlag könnte ja jedem mal glücken..., aber trotzdem hammer!

Roger is einfach ein musterprofi und n hammer tennisspieler...!

  • A true magician at work! Am proud to say I have seen one of, if not the greatest Tennis player ever! To Roger, thanks for making Tennis such a great game to watch.

  • Totally agree, I have seen him in numerous matches and I have to say, he has a magic, a quality and gift of play that captures the imagination and you realise you have seen the greatest player in the world.

  • Best player ever! A living legend! GO ROGER!!!

  • unbeliveable nice shot

    great roger

  • Go! Go! Federer!

  • :/ so much better shots... between the legs is common with pros.

  • i agree. but it was just the fact that he did it to bring up match point to get into the finals i guess. if he had of done it in the first set u wuld have hardly heard bowt it

  • he hit that shot damn hard, with good placement on novak at the net.. even for pros, that's still a tough shot.

  • Well, did they aim for the exact angle while the opponent is next to the net?

  • acrobatic !

  • game . set . HISTORY!

  • SHOT!

  • That kind of shot was first made by Guillermo Vilas an argentine tennis player, the same player that won the usopen in 1977

  • Amazing. Just amazing. Simply amazing.

  • AMAZING FEDERER

  • BIG....!!!

  • darth vader song playing. hahah

  • see how high he jumped lmaoo

  • Man, I watched that live and it was so AWESOME!! FEDERER RULES! Djokovic got totally OWNED!

Mined fucked the other dude too XD

  • its so cool but it shouldnt go for so long

  • Luck is a powerful thing.

  • the best

  • Comment removed

  • .....dude delete your comment

  • lol what did he say?

  • so long ago i dont even remember haha i wanna know

  • and the other guy has the look in his face that says......are you fucking serious!?!?!? goddamnit!!!

  • watch TZTV555

  • are u trying to mean I can't do that

  • yeah that's the best one and of course hes from switzerland like myself

  • hahahahahaha the look on djokovic was like what where huh????? and federer was like ya dig!!!!

  • DEL POTROOOOO

  • keep them coming Roger

the list is growing with those supposed "greatest" shots.

Honestly he comes up with them and whenever he does;we call them the "greatest" until he comes up with something even more spectacular

thank you for your talent Roger and I got to say I am grateful to be around to watch them

  • he is a legend of tennis

  • Yes, it was a nice shot. But best shot ever seen? I don't think so.

  • It´s too okay!!

  • last year was the lob smsh, and this year we get this! keep it coming roger!

  • circus shot!

  • this was absolutely great !!!

  • star wars theme song? lol

  • me cojoni

  • Wished he played like this today ... got home from the finals and watched him play and lost HORRIBILY third set on.

Del Potro played very well and deserved the win, but I wish it wasn't at the expense of Roger playing so sub-par.

Come get it back next year for your number six!

  • beauty shot eh

  • To pull off a shot of this calibur in the semifinals... I thought being able to switch hands when playing to extends my reach on the fly was impressive but it took years of practice for me to be able to do so. Federer instictively took this shot. Being able to hit the corner opposite of one's opponent with one's back turned and through the legs! Truly fascinating. Now I will have to step up my game even more to be remotely near the league of this amazing tennis player. Simply amazing.

  • Viper, you are comparing yourself to Federer! ROFL! OK, Nadal....

  • Amazing! Watched it live! Could not believe what I was seeing! :)

  • proassasin and the bastard happy one are the 'skatoules' of federer and just shut ur mouth up!!!!(don;t ask for skatoules u won't understand)...

  • that point was worth 2 points.

  • awesome fed

  • LA CAGO!!!

  • Proassasin1

go die u damn rotten bstrd

  • you suck much more ~!!

  • The ultimate in tennis playing - Federer is magnificent and achieved what he has through hard work—and humility is a part of his persona...unlike almost all other players. Keep on Going, RF!

  • Becouse the first tenis player who did this was an argentinian who called "willy Vilas"

  • p

    e

    ROGER

    FEDERER

    e

    c

    t

  • i just screamed out when he made this

  • The greatest player of all time man i don't give a shit what anyone else says

  • first shot was a bit lucky, but the matchpoint shot was also very good.

    federer is just the best

  • lucky shot

he didnt achieve greateness thru luck

it was sheer talent / hard work / and attitude :)

  • What makes him stand tall is his absolute humility...i have seen many champions in all sports but none as humble and composed as he is.

  • he's just humble when hes winning...

  • He's just a pro. All those kids out there aspiring to be like him should watch this shot/match and start practicing. He's born to be a legend. Good on you Roger!

  • what the hell is wrong with him? he just pulls off shots like this and makes them look as easy as piss

  • Great shot! But u have to take into account that the creator of that trick was Guillermo Vilas!

  • Which is why we call this a "Willy" in Spanish!

    =)

  • THE BEST

the game is tennis ... u read it FEDERER

  • INCREDIBILE

  • History in the making!! and I was there!!!!!

  • Roger's shot was FEDTASTIC!!!

When they speak about Delpo's match they say "the annihilation of the previous alfa mail of the game" LOL

  • ABSOLUTELY UNBELIVABLE!!! Federer has no equal whatsoever in terms of technique... that is what made him and still makes him the best EVER!

  • the first games of this match was some of the worst tennis i´ d ever watched, and then this? ;D Federer you´ re a genius and will beat del potro in the final!

  • Federer deserves to win the open after that shot.

  • wow insean shot by roger amaizing

  • Federer is the best! He's a real champion, on and off the court. Very talented and yet humble and friendly.

  • We are lucky to see Roger Federer, the best player of all times playing. I don't think we'll have someone else better than him in the future. Congrats Roger and we are all with you and see you winning the US for the 6th time

  • Brilliant. Reminds me of Ilie Nastase

  • WAT A SHOT

  • the best athlete in the world now.... he is the best

  • 0:57 Robert Federer is SO cute! LOL
