  • go GREECE

  • country going down for a reason.

  • Do what the icelaners did...go bankrupt, get rid of the falce debt to the bankers, and get back to being Greek...forget this Free trade shit...get the respect as the greek prople back again, and do what you did best, BEFORE you got involved with the EU and the corporatocracies...dont get bailed out..go back to basics, as community once again!!!

  • @HellenicPantheongr Well, my father is from greece, so that makes a little more or less into the things. You can't live on the back of the tourists! The country is under bankruptcy, the money can't fall from the sky. Europe cant gave money to greece, it's begging.

  • Feed your people before you pay of the banks.

  • Well the debt has been incurred....Greece can meet the debt,if they want EU and IMF help the government must meet international creditors demands...If the government does not ,they will not receive loans. They Greece will default and be kick out of the EU..IT IS WHAT IT IS...

  • Lazy thieving lying Greeks. And of course the scum Goldman Sachs and Blankfein helped the shits lie to the Germans. germany stitched up by the usual lot. And people wonder why they were treated like they were.

  • @Elbrusarrow lazy thieving lying? u talking about ur mother dont u???

  • but greece never lost its pride... like germany..putting a phillipino up as foreign minister

  • @Gerechtable

greece had an albanian for prime minister...

  • @Gerechtable but greece did lose its pride ... they put corrupt politicians into parliament and let the IMF have their way with greece for decades.

  • I'm so sick of the know-it-all internet commentators. Greece's problem has nothing to do with living beyond their means. They are a first-world country that lives within its means, i.e. lower than the standard of living in the UK or France. The huge debts are due to corruption: corrupt politicians, bankers, civil service, etc. Instead of spending $1 on a road project, they spend $10 in order to pay everyone off. And then these foreign speculators pounce on the situation to weaken the euro.

  • something must change.. right.. pay dmn tax.. and work.. i mean real work not just wasting time..

  • They spent money like insane on expensive events such as olympics...

  • But what the hell do they expect from anybody else that THEMSELVES? I see this energy wasted is sterile protest, it makes me sad.

  • Why is the anti-riot police in GREECE not marching in a classic "phalanx" formation?

  • Greece is being raped by banks. The rest of the western world can look forward to this.

  • 4:29 -'' We're in a mess because we didn't work '' ? Wow, i guess that's the answer to this problem.

  • At 8:50 the Greek President sounds quite reasonable. But damn journeyman has become a melodramatic reality show rather than real journalism it seems

  • 8:15 'they've stolen my life and my children's dreams and life' Who stole her life?

  • A shame for the country that the civilization has born. Shame on you Greeks, for your great ancestors. Now you are pathetic, you look so pathetic that it hurts me. Stop slacking around. And go WORK, to raise the economy on the best level that you deserve in first place. Stop complaining, and work hard to build your present. Protests won't feed you. Protests will destroy your countries. Riots helps only when the government got all the fault for something. I hope you will find a way, another one.

  • They need a Greek Ron Paul!

  • These people think capitalism has failed them when in fact it's socialism that has failed them.

  • @Dalwhinnie15

Socialism allows for the masses to own the means of production.

There is no such system in greece. They are simply a failed capitalist state that had massive state intervention to cover the short comings caused by neo liberal policies.

  • @kingmafi6699 Massive state intervention is the antithesis of capitalism and freemarkets.

  • @Phled

And when you understand that free markets are not magical and are merely products of peoples social relations then you will see its limitations.

  • @kingmafi6699 you are seeing the limitations of state-controlled collectivist economies in this video. if you want to see the "limitations" of a free market look at america in its heyday

  • The government recklessly spend and the people along with future generations pay. A few agent provocateurs start rioting and the police arrest everyone, and the people pay. When do the ones that actually cause the mess get to pay? Let the government default and then start fresh, rather than trying to revive the same dead system for the benefit of the few weathly and powerful. The people always pay while the parasitic elites always profit.

  • Massive borrowing + tax evasions = economic debt crissis

  • 6:43 Man on fire and I don't mean Denzel Washington.

  • Greek people you are not alone: Portuguese people is with you! We know what you are passing. Both countries could be pioneers kicking speculators asses.

  • We are with you our Orthodox brothers...Greetings from Serbia and Republic of SRPSKA...

  • and the economic crisis did not start from greece, try to remember when and from where it started

  • first of all its not so many people that imigrate right now,i have 100 friends and only 2 of them they left greece, second the idea of e.u is to help each other and to be united, third,,greece was from the first countries that have the idea of united europe and even the name europe is greek,

  • @Lagouvardos10 Eu is part of the NWO plan.

  • its interesting to see so many ppl awakened in greece, they are finally seeing the world for what it is....

  • Greece owes 300 billion Euros total and they are protesting and taking action?America owes trillions in war debts. We are sitting on our asses watching television.

  • USA and EU spends on wars and you have to pay.

  • As a Bulgarian, the Greek crisis affects me too.We are big partners in trande and economy as a whole. There are even Greeks who come to Bulgaria to work. This hasnt happened since the midperiod of the World Wars.

  • It has obviously turned out to bee a mistake to help the greek. Greek workers get paid extra, if they manage to get to work in time. And this is only one excample of abnormal benefits they get. They should be left to drown. It's the only way they ever learn how to swimm.

  • @kyng386 and greeks should leave you barbarian instead of giving you all the lights of knowledge in arts and sciences

  • @Lagouvardos10 Greek culture and science had it's heyday ca 2000 years ago. If thats the only reason we have to pay their bills today, well we realy shouldn't . If people don't understand the simple truth, that if you take your income and subtract your expenditures, then you should get a number greater or equal to zero, then I seriously doubt if they have the "lights of knowledge in arts and sciences." They're probably lost in darknes.

  • @kyng386 the only reason?only?look around you my friend, check the the most important buildings in your country and ask about the architecture, ask your teachers about the most important lessons in your schools ,where did they came from, do a small research on your language to see from which language is based on 75%,,something more light and not so heavy?ask the meaning of entertainment in cinemas or in areas for many people where it came from?the list is non stop....only?only?????

  • @kyng386 "if you take your income and subtract your expenditures, then you should get a number greater or equal to zero" basically the only thing that needs to be said

  • @kyng386 and i am not talking about years and years ago i am talking about 2011.from morning that you wake up you do things invented in this tiny country.and all this because you dare to questioning about the role of greece in your today civilized life

  • @Lagouvardos10 I don't question Greeces role in modern civilization. It's a textbook example what happens, if you fail at basic math, rule with populism and lie.

  • 3rd world was robbed... they are coming to your town.. get ready

  • I'm curious how many of the foreigners who take the side of the protesters would agree to pay out of their own pockets the money necessary for the Greeks to live beyond their means every year. Retirement at 55, foreign workers for all physical work, half the population state bureaucrats or on welfare ... yet they demand more state benefits from borrowed money. The West would rather help those who die of famine in Africa than the lazy communist Greeks.

  • I'm a foreigner living here (legally). The problem is corruption, corruption and corruption!!!

Nothing will change and no-one will ever be punished.

The system is set up, that if you don't cheat, pay your taxes and try to work hard you must be a malaka!!!

The people that make the real money and live a great life are the ones who, cheat the tax system and break the rules of society.

Nothing will change, the country is destined for financial meltdown.

I must be a malaka for staying here.

  • Welcome to Neuropa the new Soviet Union and we are all f**ked

  • the greek government had to jack up the tax and cut spending because of this econimic crisis... they had no option, what do the protestors want?

all those young graduates who are trying to migrate to another country are the worst type of people, like rats from a sinking ship.

  • @PlebScrubber When u see that ur country has no future u look further ahead. You have to be in the same situation to understand what people go through. They tax only the poor. When your country has no money, jobs don't exist. You graduate from colleges and then you stay unemployed with the degrees because no one will give you job except if you know a politician personally. How can anyone pay taxes even on toilet papers when there are no jobs? You dont understand what you watch, u only criticize.

  • @byJessCh all those people migrating, they are putting more pressure on to the country they move to, taking jobs there, and take their problems with them. As well they are leaving their country with less skilled workers for the next generation, only the poorest and unskilled workers are left behind making greece worse off.

It must suck to live in a shit country and see other countries have it so good, but just ave some pride in your country and stay there and fix it, or everyone will be greece

  • @PlebScrubber Id never live as an immigrant, for the reasons u mentioned and mostly because id never want to leave my country. Even if i die trying at least i'll get burried here. But i doubt if all those people migrating that they care about the pressure they give to that country. You look at ur future, these people look at theirs. Since EU in 1991 ordered Greece to open its borders, you have no idea how many foreigners have gone home now with Greece's money and built houses on their countries.

  • Same situation in US.

Nobody's talking about raising tax for the riches to pay off the debt.

In fact, both countries are doing the opposite then wondering why things are getting worse.

From 1933 to 1963 in US, tax rate for the riches was 91%, yet the economy was booming, dollar was strongest ever.

  • It dosent make sense to sell national assets that produce income for the country.

  • @kyriacos40 That's the well-known IMF universal medicine. Like the bloke hinted, it never really works but they keep shoving it down people's throats.

  • @kyriacos40 Yah total worst thing they can do definitely! Soon the 'other' interests, like the IMF & Friends cabal, will easily come to own greater & greater "ownership=political holds" on Greece. This is how globalists take over smaller independent countries, bite by bite! For similar tragic example, have a look at Argentina's circumstances now. Thanks for good comment kyriacos-40. Good goin'!

  • To me this is a Financial War created by the Banksters with the politicians,IMF,Eurocrats, as Hench Men.To rape and pillage Greece of its national assets for pennys on the dollar, and keep the Greek people in debt. The bail outs are just paying the interest of these debt not going to the economy.Basically they are just bailing out the Banksters at the expense of the people and country.

  • ευρωπη is falling and starting again from the country that started everything thousand years ago,,,,from the country that gave the name to this continent europe(ευρωπη),....Greece.

  • Oh, cradle of our civilisation, how low hast thou fallen : /

  • maybe they should just show the film "Money as Debt" on national TV.

  • hmmm the video says greece is selling their most valuable public assets, namely the largest seaport in europe which currently belongs to them...... they are stupid to sell that, sure they can get the quick money from it, but the port is what gives them quite a sum of money constantly from docking fees, etc....... stupid retards are incharge....

  • This is only the beginning. It won't stop! This crysis will reach all of us. We will all suffer.

  • The real tragedy is that they get more loans to pay the previous loans and not to invest it into the economy.

  • tourists love to go to greece again and again like a child returns to his grandmother

  • at least the debt is less that the United States which is 14 trillion

  • @idid0urmama yes your debt is much larger but so is your economy, the US is in much better shape...

  • @idid0urmama But the U.S. just increases it's debt ceiling again and again (and has done for almost a hundred years) in order to stave off its defceit because the world currency is basically the $. Greece isn't in that position.

  • so beatyfull country and how many things the world owes to old greece, it's sad.

  • The irresponsible Vote hungry ultra-populist politicians are a problem in every democratic country, They only care about winning immediate short term public approval and getting re-elected and they do so by avoiding ever having to make the necessary but sometimes unpopular decisions ahead of time before they grow into a serious problem for the country down the road.

  • 2012, killing imf

  • I'm not greek... but I'm suffering almost the same thing... guess where I'm from... ?

    Portugal

  • If your an American, Think first before judging the Greek people because your federal government has put you in the same boat and now you have talk of defaults.

  • @Obasiliasfilosofos No one is going to judge the Greek people. Who doesn't have love and respect for Greece? As for America, the bigwigs (bankers and FED) won't let America default. There's too much at stake. The America people will suffer greatly before that happens.

  • thank you for caring for my country..

  • No Passaran!!

  • If the current situation doesn't improve, there may be a bloody revolution.

I go to Greece annually and am going on Friday, I hate to see one of my favourite countries in such an awful state.

  • @JozefKPilsudski You go to Greece every year? Take me with you! I went there years ago and have been wanting to go back ever since! The People! The Passion! The Food! The LIFE!!! I felt SO at home there after growing up in quiet, predictable Wyoming...I picked up the language super fast (and still study the ancient variety) and everyone was so pleased to see this little blonde speaking their language. I wept when I left....Someday. I MUST go back! Agapo Ellinikos!

  • @JozefKPilsudski

And if they are making revolution- what is going to change? Democracy to something else? What they are going to get from this?

  • @ICE117649 That's the point. If there is a revolution very little will change. I doubt the world bank is going to wipe off their debt.

  • @ICE117649 "Democracy to something else"... its an illusion to believe that Greece has Democracy. Parliamentary Dictatorship it is.

  • @JozefKPilsudski Czesc. Thanks for going to Greece, proud Greek-Pole here. Indeed you should head to the islands...the economic crisis is unheard of there.

  • This documentary was horrible. All you saw was dumb protester violence, as if I can't watch any old riot on youtube. These facts were useless. I mean, no shit they have high unemployment and huge debts! Why not go into DETAIL about their bank bailout, like telling us how that money was and is supposed to spent? Why not discuss the mistakes that were made that led to this financial crisis? Why not lay out a pros & cons arguement for or against austerity?

    Completely shallow and pointless doc

  • we live interesting times ... a time where everything that makes us what we are is put in a provocation ... citizens , consumers , workers , religious/political/sexual orientation adepts and so on ... how this era unfolds is going to condition scary notions like living , future even war . in more vulgar words " the shit is flying towards the ceiling fan " on a global scale

  • The live on the handouts from EU & then those bums got the balls to protest too...

  • @silver84ace Hello........ Read any newspapers lately? Like der Spiegel (they perfectly point it out)? The people of Greece were scammed by their government and Goldman Sachs. They were hiding their true debt situation, didn't tell anything about it to the Greek people. It's the banksters and politicians who should be dangling from the ropes, not the ordinary citizens. When gov'ts and banks are lying, it's always the people who need to foot the bill.

  • the country is falling apart and yet they come in expensive cars? really?

  • Get some info on the Massacre in Norway and do a video about that!

  • Ta Xali Mas Ta Kali Mas....

  • You cant pay debt with more debt. Its stupid. Dismantle the euro zone now! Get rid of all the banks now!

  • that old man is right, "nothing is free"

  • @Osher79 he's wrong and you are too. All that nature gives is absolutely free!

  • we all know ppl weill keep working and prlonging this mess. stupid.

  • I love Hellas so much, I really hate seeing like the country like this :(

  • what a stupid time line this is...

  • lol
