  • Amazing music and I have to say, Vive la france!

  • My grand grandfathers came from France, and i'm so proud of that!

We had many heroes, and what do you have, england?

The english like to be called mere peasants, worshiping their ridiculous queen, even nowadays!

We French made the Revolution! That's evolution! Suck this, brits!

  • i love the painting of the battle of orleans 0:35

  • This music is amazing.Good job on your video.

  • 21 people are probably British....

  • @minhounou

    +1

  • @minhounou

    "21 people are probably British...."

    -> Not British but English.

Scots were allied to France in the 100 years war.

  • Gille De Rais was a pedophile satanist who kept childrens heads and put makeup on them. He was rightly burned at the stake

  • In fact it was a war not between france and England but between the descendants of the french noble William the conqueror and their english serfs, against the king of France. So it was more a french civil war.

  • @6U4RD1AN Indeed, that is why England was a colony of France... ;)

  • I have both English and French in my blood - as do many English and French people, but who scarcely know it - such has been the intermingling of cultures during various wars ... and I love both countries and both cultures equally. Before the Romans came the Celtic nation consisted of both France and Britain and Ireland and much of Western Europe as we know it.

  • the hundred years war actually lasted from 1337 to 1453 . It covered the reigns

of five kings, each of whom tried in vain to gain control of france

  • who sing this song!?

  • @Arpadok The info is written bottom left of the video : Malicorne - La Fiancée du Timbalier

The lyrics are, by the way, from a beautiful poem by Victor Hugo.

  • @Arpadok The info for the song is written bottom right of the video : Malicorne - La Fiancée du Timbalier

The lyrics are actually a beautiful poem by Victor Hugo.

  • @Arpadok It is a group of french folkmusic which is named "Malicorne", it began it's art in the 70' years, following the Breton "Alan Steavel", but letting more place to the entire french historic repertory, from all countries Limousin, Normandy or Auvergne.

Some of it's greatest successes were reproducted on a numeric support, but are difficult to discover by our cd's salers yet !

  • Great videos, Im a history student myself and I find French history fascinating ,after the Romans I wager it was the French that really shaped Europe right up to the modern age.

But ofcourse we are all a mix and we all learn from each other, that is the beauty of huamanity's cultures .

  • if england won the hundred year war england would have been big and a powerful country england would have ruled france and the low countries

  • @shauntheassassin

Wrong it would be France ruling Britain and the Low Countries, the Plantagenets were a french faction trying to get the throne.

  • @elquidam44: In 1992 the French people held a retrial of Gilles de Rais and pronounced him innocent.

  • @lordalastor99

it wasn't a second "real" and fair trial. Only some history teachers who thought he is innocent who decided to held this trial.

but he was really guilty, he admit himself before being executed to the families of the victims

  • They stoled Edward 2 throne he was supposed to rule over France as the grandson of Phillipe the Iron King. England aristocracy was French so basically it was French against French

  • @twobon of course, British pride must be preserve at all cost. Thank you for your revisionism. The name is Bond, James Bond !

  • Saint Joan Of Arc The Greatest Christian Saint Ever And A Great Freedom Fighter Her Sacrifice For Jesus And France Is Beyond Comparison.Lord JESUS Christ Bless Her SOUL

  • This was an interesting video so thanks! But why do you include Gilles de Rais on here? As a heroic member of the French army? He was a prolific serial killer and raped and murdered between 80 - 200 French children over the course of 5 years. Not someone you really want representing your country surely?

  • @skerbadger He was a knight too you know and he fought well.

  • @skerbadger: He was still very close to Joan or Arc and did great things for France despite such charges. He basically met the same kind of fate as her, but with different accusations and died in a different way. Back then someone could point at you and scream "witch" and chances are you would eventually be done for. False accusations of atrocities was very common back then. Just look at the Knights Templar. But I suppose you think they were all murderous monsters too, right?

  • vive la pucelle d'Orléans !

  • Vive la France de Jehanne!

  • Ah ! la branlé qu'on leur a mis à Patay !:)

  • Saint Joan Of Arc The Greatest Christian Saint Ever And A Great Freedom Fighter Her Sacrifice For Jesus And France Is Beyond Comparison.Lord JESUS Christ Bless Her SOUL

  • thank you so muchh

this helped me to understand the hundred years war much better

    :)

  • I think France should owe their lives to Joan, because she gave all her comrades a kick in the butt! Of course, France wouldn't last without their brave soldiers. Never get lazy France! :D

  • boob at 2:02?

  • @Twindustry yay \o/

  • France is a Bunch of P****** and D*** Grabbers" George Bush xD

  • @shoussam

If you decide subscirber to all the crap that said this moron of Bush, it gonna be expensive

  • @jeffkodiac w t f re u talking abt?! i was just kiddin' anyway!!! Gooood

  • @shoussam NO england is a pile of conservative shit

  • Beautiful video. Thank you.

  • God, it's good to be French...

  • -"There have been 53 major wars in Europe

France had been a belligerent in 49 of them; UK 43.

In 185 battles that France had fought over the past 800 years, their armies had won 132 times, lost 43 times and drawn only 10.

Giving the French military the best record of any country in Europe".

    BBC History

  • @thecajuncutthroat That are facts. Since when french bashers follow facts ?

  • @Darodh haters gon' hate

  • @thecajuncutthroat if only napoleon had been able to crushed the cursed anglais

  • Can anyone in present day France claim ancestry to Joan of Arc?

  • @doetim

It's really hard from an virgin to get a baby !

  • @kyonne I meant someone who is related to anyone in her family, whether it's her sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc. I assume she had those in her family.

  • @doetim As far as I know she had many relatives and the name still exists.

  • @doetim

Yes there are members of her family through her relatives (brothers or sisters) and quite a lot if you see articles and family claims

  • @doetim

Joan of Arc had no direct descendant.

But yeah, pretty much all the population of Lorraine has blood ties with her.

  • The battle of Bouvines and Hundred Years War are both internal wars of France, two thrones who want to be the kings of France and one of those thrones had colonized england.

  • The french flag should have the arms of Aragon, Angevin, Navarra and Kingdom of France fused into one.

  • @Washington177683 Well, scandinavian at the 5th generation only, thus more french than most french these days ;)

  • @lahire081 Their propaganda tells them to deny their french influence. Most of them are full of hatred, jealousy, with a huge inferiority complex. They do know they are nothing, but refuse to accept it. Almost everything they have, or are, is from France: their nobility, their kings, their motto, their national anthem, their symbols, their language, ... and it drives them mad.

Just one thing to say to our english "friends" who read this thread.

    Vous êtes des peigne-culs.

Go translate that, now, engaylish. And do something about your teeth please.

  • Music from Malicorne "LA FIANCEE DU TIMBALIER"

  • Thanks for the vid!! This is the first time, I'm hearing about this war from the French perspective....

  • "I love how your government kept it's motto French since the end of French rule of england in 1485 "

    It doesnt surprise me really:

"Everything that is courteous, honorable and elegant in the English culture comes from the French invasion".

    --- Walter Scott

  • @Joniboy98 Well said my friend.

  • There were six wars in the hundred years war, England wins the Breton succession, Edwardian, Two peters, and the lancastrian war, France wins the Castilian war and the Carrilon war.

  • @mastercheff1216, I'm afraid you're wrong on one thing, the Two Peters War was inconclusive, there were no real victors.

  • @expertstrategy Economically as in their banks were shattered and empty.

  • @mastercheff1216

Sorry bitch, from 1066-1485, there's no england, it's angleterre! HYW was a war between two French family clans: Valois of France vs Plantagenet of Anjou/england= Valois victory, typical engaylish, taking credit for something theyve never done and can't possibly do (conquer France). I love how your government kept it's motto French since the end of French rule of england in 1485 x)

    Dieu et mon droit x)

    Vive La France!!!!

  • Nous haissons les Anglais parceque nous somme des frères is'nt it?

  • French are gays

  • @sohaibzahid

    lol

A scientific study proves that every guy saying "French are gays" is a frustrated acneic virgin.

  • Paki are terrorist

  • u maked as terrorist .when u will kill our children's we will keep throwing stones at ur glass made forts

  • Suicide bombings killing civilians isn't terrorism? Take a bath and wake up to the new age paki faggot camel jockey.

  • Pakis are gay, you were ruled by brits, you'd have to be gay to allow that to happen, proud to say it never happened to France.

  • i don't really understand why the french hate the english so much

  • @conali, not all of the French hate the English, it's the same with the English. In fact, even today they like each other as friends and allies. But there is some dislike and contempt between the two nations. France and England had a very long history of their bitter rivalry, and frequently at war against each other.

  • @expertstrategy oops my bad i should of put in economically speaking.

  • @mastercheff1216, what do you mean "economically"?

  • @mastercheff1216

    French Empire(s) vs british empire,

France had 2 Empires, uk only had one

France ruled europe twice being the dominant power of europe, england in one of them, engayland/uk ruled unarmed third world countries (australia, america, africa)

Latins and Germans are the only peoples to conquer France.

Bretons, Latins, Danes, Saxons, Normans, French, Bretons again, Flemish, Angevins, Spanish/Hapsburg, German/Dutch coalition conquered/ruled england.

  • @mastercheff1216

Unlike uk, France was a the dominant power of europe twice ruling europe twice, engayland/uk's never the dominant power of europe as they never conquered europe.

French influence in england: 1/3 language French, mottos French, anthem French, French conquered/ruled from 1066-1485.

engaylish/british influence in France: None, engayland/uk never conquered France and accepted/enjoyed being islanders x)

  • We don't, it's like our child occasionally turning against us. Being told off and getting bitter and then returning to Mama. We love England, they just need to stop the useless propaganda and embrace their Frenchness! ;)

  • because they hate french to

the english ha skill 1300 of then at

mers el khebir for the pleasure of churchill

    it's the englisjh hate french

  • @druisten3, the British destroyed the French fleet at Mers el kebir, was because they didn't want the French fleet to fall into Hitler's hands. The British were very reluctant and regretted attacking their ally's navy, but it was necessary.

  • remember thez sabordage of toulon

the frennch has never want to give this fleet

NEVER WANT TO GIVE THIS FLEET

don't insult the memory of the victim of mer el khebir

so the destructionn of mk are just politic

  • Beating a little group of nazi supporters from southern France doesn't mean it was a French defeat, the French resistance actually fought the vichy.

  • Comment removed

  • not really, dude;

-the english don't like the french, because their medieval history goes overround a french concept..

-the french don't like the english, because theses one tried constantly to hyde this fact..

BTW, there is no "hate", cause we are both europeans sharing the same gréco romano germano celtico christian culture..

  • @RegnumFrancorum

I respect the Latini for they and the Prussians were the only peoples capable of conquering France and I love Greece. Although Although we have Latin, Greek, and German influence in our glorious French culture, I refuse to say our French culture is the same as the english, I don't care how much French influence they have.

  • @BourbonDynastie OK, dude, but don't forget that's there is no hate, just fight agaisnt the french google bashing. At last, Europe have to remind herselves what is her culture and world's mission

  • @RegnumFrancorum

There is no hate, only against francophobic anglo white trash.

  • We don't..... Really we don't..... It used to be but not anymore....

  • Because youre ignorant morons who spit out lies about our country that's why.

  • In France we also said "Why the English hates us so much?".

  • Jealousy, that's why they hate us x)

  • We definitely kicked their ass out of France.

  • vivla france fuck england .we are not english we are scouse ,liverpool is not england.

  • @roadend78 well your a retard, everyone knows liverpool is part of England, that's the most pathetic thing i have ever heard.

  • engayland/britain invaded France? Only when large coalitions invaded, sad to say for your sake you never conquered France, France conquered england in 1066. 1/3 english is French x) engaylish influence in France = None. French kings of england = too many. engaylish kings of France = None.

  • Go back to your back to your cloudy ugly little shithole... stupid islander engaylish barbarian.

  • Fuck you engaylish monkey....

  • Hate to tell you, France owned ALL OF ENGLAND from 1066 - 1154. Sorry to tell you that 1/3 of your language is French, and that your motto and anthem are French as well, p.s. engaylish was never the language of France.

  • Your the moron for playing patriot here, get a life..That also requires you to be less of a rude bigot...

  • arabic religion our master? engayland attacked by muslims 7/7, al qaida present in engayland, iraq = british failure. Sorry but arabs own your country little bitch x)

  • Little bitch, there are more mosques than churches in france now,you don't even know your own country...Your not even much of a white country anymore..

  • Wrong little dumbfuck engaylish cunt, there's al qaida and more terrorist threats in engayland than France, I know my country you don't know yours, now shut the fuck and remain on your shithole rock to be taken over by al qaida bitch!

  • Dieu et mon droit... motherfucker x)

    VIVE LA FRANCE!!!

    Fuck engayland !!!

  • That is not true, there are many more churches and temples (protestant temples) than mosques in France, and still many French attend masses. It is only logical that in old european countries like France or England chueches outnumber mosques: they are part of our historical patrimony.

  • @Francien87, mind if i ask you something?

Just curious, why did you stop your argument with LordGeorgeRodney in "Her Majesty's greatest humiliations" video?

  • Because my account was suspended, but now I got that engaylish bitch back, look at the video, I pawned the hell out of that barbaric islander x)

  • @BeauFrancien, I'll support you in winning against LordGeorgeRodney. I personally think he is being hypocritical in history. he said to me that the Norman conquest of England was only Norman, but half of the army composed of Frenchmen from many regions in France. He even told me that the battle of Leipzig in 1813 was a British victory because of an Artillary rocketeer crew that destroyed French squares and forced 2500 to surrender. That battle was more of an Austrian-Russian-Prussian victory.

  • He considers HYW, 1st Carnatic war, King william's war, and others as british victories, he even takes credit claiming the Angevin Empire and Plantagenet as "englishmen", he even claims that "england" conquered normandy in 1106. He also claims that englishmen ruled France which is completely false.

  • You are a bit like the english is this respect you are in dennial there were a handful of French noble guiding the Scots army to their destination It was a Scots Army the defeated them! like the english you are trying to get a little glory of the back of the Scots.

  • If I would've fought for Joan of Arc, I probably would've been killed in battle for staring her down rather than fighting the enemies x)

  • Honored to say the Kingdoms of France and England fought only one war without allies on either side when English invaded Aquitaine in 1324. French victory..

    France 1 England 0

Only war fought for control of Syria in 1922 between France and Britain. French victory.

    France 1 Britain 0.

    France 2 England/Britain 0

    French victory.

    La reine France!!!

  • @rabourbon

    An anglo-French war in 1922 , i think you're mistaken

  • French mandate for syria and palestine 1922, british withdrew from syria to avoid conflict with the French, mind you, the French nor british had allies on either side and wanted control of syria, british withdrew, French victory. That's the real last war between France and britain.

  • Let's not forget about their allies from the Kingdom of Andes (Anjou).

  • In this war also, nearly half of the english army consisted of Gascon soldiers. Not to mention england's traditional ally the kingdom of Burgundy, helped england also.

  • LOL, again, engayland fails to conquer France x) They had Breton, Gascon, Burgundy allies and still lost x)

    Merci, comrade.

  • @rabourbon that is why they usually rely on allies to do their dirty work.

  • I know, engayland had Burgundy, gascon, breton, flemish, German, Hainaut allies and still lost the 1415-1453 war x) engayland/'britain has never beaten France in anything without allies, 1324 engaylish invade Aquitaine, (possibly only war without allies) and lost to France in less than 6 weeks x). 1922, they withdrew from syria to avoid war with the French x) However I don't mind Scotland, France's traditional ally.

    France + Great Britain= Concorde ^^

  • @2210ethan

You're wrong. 100 000 French soldiers evacuated at Dunkirk were repatriated to Brest and Cherbourg in the hours or days that followed to continue the fight, not after the armistice had been signed.

  • 2210ethan : "Ok I'll tell you. Of the 140 000 evacuated at Dunkirk, 37 000 or so remained in England with the Free French"

The reason is simple, Battle of France wasn't finished at Dunkirk so those troops were returned to France by Brittany few days after. When you assert something, don't forget all aspects of the facts just to give to your assertion the sens you want to give.

  • Let's compare shall we,

Coalition of French tribes (Normans, French, Bretons, and Flems) invade and conquer england in 1066 with no british allies.

    HYW

Coalition of Gascon, Breton, Burgundy, Aquitainian, and english fight against House of Valois.

France vs britain 1066, French victory

France vs britain 1324, French victory

(Only wars fought between both nations with no allies)

    See the difference?

    France dominates!!!

  • @MrFrance87

I think what you meant to write was:

    Normans vs. Saxons- Normans win

French Speaking Aristocracy vs. French Speaking aristocracy, one side wins the crown, unifying the two countries, then the other side wins it back.

France certainly does like to fight though, how many civil wars have you guys had again?

  • No, I'm right your'e wrong,

King William was a Norman, but his invasion force was compose of Normans, Bretons, French, and Flemish.

At least we can win wars without coalitions, when's the last time britain won a war against France with no allies?

  • @MrFrance87

Oh OK, Normans, Bretons, French and Flemish vs. Saxons then.

As for coalitions, they're a great thing. If it wasn't for the allies, you might have grown up speaking German, and having no Jewish kids in your class. Or country.

Any answer to the civil wars question? (WW2 counts by the way.)

  • Youre right about the coalition concept, if it wasn't for France and Germanic peoples pushing the Latins back to Latium, you'd still be speaking Latin, meaning english would be extinct.

Britain never had civil wars? France isn't the only country that had alot of civil wars.

  • @MrFrance87

Sure, England had some, two biggish ones and a squabble or two.

    How about France?

  • @MrFrance87

Umm, Anglo-Saxon in England didn't really get going until 500Ad or so dude, with plenty of Latin, and then Norman in there, so a few Huns burning Rome has nothing to do with it.

  • Huns, great joke, look at how the Francs conquered half of italy while the normans conquered the other half and no without the Francs and Germanic peoples pushing the Latins back to Lazio, You'd still be speaking Latin.

  • @MrFrance87

We both still speak Latin today dude.

  • Not completely, they've had a big impact on europe however, the Francs had a big impact on them also.

  • @2210ethan

-"The French held 7 german divisions in Dunkirk. England wouldn't have been able to carry on the war without them".

    Winston Churchill

What did you mean exactly ?

  • @thecajuncutthroat

That's great! Seriously though, of course French presence at Dunkirk was vital, it was a close thing, no?

By the way, how many of the French soldiers evacuated at Dunkirk (whilst their comrades covered them) chose to be repatriated to Vichy after the surrender?

  • I'm sorry, it was the French who held off those divisions while the british retreated, repatriated to vichy? The government was puppets to the nazis, 1,400,000 French people fought for the Free French and French Resistance.

  • @MrFrance87

About 140, 000 French troops were evacuated from Dunkirk, thanks in part to the sacrifice of other Frenchmen.

Do you know how many of these stayed in England, and how many voluntarily repatriated to Vichy?

How about in Syria? After De Gaulle's appeal, how many of Dentz' troops joined the Free French, and how many went 'home' to Vichy.

  • 1,400,000 French people joined the Free French and French Resistance to fight the nazis and the puppet government. Why did the british come to France? Real reason to try and defeat them in France and prevent an invasion of britain. Free French fought alongside the british in Syria against the vichy.

  • For more details about the French after 1940, see my vid about the french2nd armored division.

For more details about Vichy France, see any Holocaust memorial.

  • ahahahah! happy new year buddy

  • @thecajuncutthroat

    Thanx for this beautiful song.

May I ask you, do you understand french ?

More particularly the Hugo's poem sing by Malicorne ?

  • And how many have joined DeGaulle ?

And who is the poodle of USA, today ?

  • @thecajuncutthroat

    Did you look it up?

Ok I'll tell you. Of the 140 000 evacuated at Dunkirk, 37 000 or so remained in England with the Free French.

In Syria, about 2000 of Dentz' 26 000 men chose to join De Gaulle, who was at that time under sentence of death as a traitor to France.

I don't know, who is the USA's poodle? I don't know who the sick man of Europe is either, different discussion.

(although I like the irony of a Frenchman using the poodle as an image of iffeminacy and weakness).

  • DeGaulle was under sentence of Death at this time, good thing.

You know he built 5th republic ?

What about Tony Blair ? Has he reserved a room at LaHaye ?

"Although I like the irony of a frenchman using the poodle as an image of iffeminacy and weakness".

Lol i'm not french, little boy.

So your insult remind me that poll who shows that the french bashers are widely sexually frustrated...

  • .....Engaylish nice insult, of all the people in the world to be calling people gay the French should probably be last, seeing as how the french language is pussy sounding.

  • French is a language wich sounds too beautiful. the girls from everywhere love it \o/

  • No that's you brokeback mountain faggot whitetrash. Well if French is "pussy" sounding then you sound like that too because 1/3 of the words coming out of your mouth are French, enjoy losing more wars, asshole:)

  • Why would you hate on the French idiot. America wouldn't exist if not for our French allies you ignoramus.

  • @refuckulate420 France didn't even help us until the last battle, i'll give props to the generals like lafeyette but the French army didnt do shit for us except blockade the English at Yorktown, Spain did way more.

  • @Whiteguy069

Absolutly wrong, France provided supply and weapons all along the war. The patriots would have been crushed without the french help.

The last and decisive campaign was basically french : deGrasse destroyed British Navy and Rochambeau attacked Yorktown.

During the operations, french outnumbered americans by four to one. The tactics, the troops, the weapons, the navy were french. Spanish and American played a minor role.
