  • I have a 1993 ZJ 4.0 with about a million miles on it, and I'd like to Seafoam it, but part of me is worried that the crap inside the engine is helping to prevent leaks, and getting rid of it would cause more problems than it would solve. Any opinions about this?

  • they never say to hydro lock it. they just say to choke it out. why would they want to damage ur engine.

  • Hopefully you'll get this & reply soon.... I have a 1995 ZJ with 310k miles on it... Even though mine is a yr newer would I do it the same way that you have shown. Mine is kinda sluggish & i have noticed the diff. in power. Yes i know 310k mi. time to get another.. NOT. I cant let this one go. I am squeezing as much as i can out of it just to prove how tough these lil things are. Thanks!!

  • @Chupathingy901 Awesome!

  • Do you put your other half of the can in the gas tank? thanks.

  • @trenlax21 Yes, the other half went into the gas tank.

  • Just how cold was it out when you did this anyway?

  • @doginstine It was about 15 degrees fahrenheit.

  • Darth Vaders other job. HAHAHAHAHA!!

  • @doginstine Haha

  • you didnt show us the best part....when it comes out the other end

  • @talktomebitch905 Yes I did! Check out my other video!

  • Pull you PCV valve out of the valve cover, and stick it with the hose still connected to the intake into the can, and let the rest of the can get sucked in. Cleans the PVC valve, and gets rid of the carbon the throttle body trick missed, by getting a straighter shot to the valve train!

  • Are you on crack? You're lucky you didn't flood the fucking motor up.

You get two one foot sections of rubber hose, and a T barb fitting. put one end into the bottle, the other connected to some source of vac. and leave the other hole in the T open so it can get some fucking air.

You're gonna drown the poor jeep!

  • @TheVooDooReverend This method works as well. Truck ran fine afterward.

  • @TheVooDooReverend i did it this way also? You just do it slow?

  • Darth Vader?

  • so what did you gain by doing this? did you see anything change

  • @tyler238 Idled smoother, smoother acceleration, less fuel consumption.

  • hey, got a question for anyone who can answer this? i had a plugged cat on my ford explorer and had to bang out the honeycomb element inside so now i have just the outer shell. is it illegal to run that way since the truck is now too old to need emissions tests??? and or, will the fuel consumption be all screwed up??

    thanks for your time ;)

  • @bikr1975 Are you in the US or can? alot of guys straight pipe there cats, we had one come in the shop the other day that was pluged and thats all we did. technically its illegal not to have one, but no one cares.

  • @Nsphere USA. No straight pipes here. That carries close to a $20,000 fine in New Jersey!

  • @vserduchka 20k fine? holy smokes thats hardcore

  • I think engine rebuilds are fun, its just paying for it thats not lol, great vid man

  • yeah, remember, fluids don't compress.

  • Hi thanks for the post i have a 96 zj is there any possible harm that can come from seafoaming

  • thanx man great vid

  • great job

  • what is the point in seafoaming?

  • Removes buildup of carbon deposits in your engine.

  • you're better off using a spray bottle. this stuff works best when it enters the throttle body as slowly as possible. otherwise a nice video though.

  • You're absolutely right

  • lol

    lol

  • pouring the seafoam in the throttle body...does exactly what to the vehicles enegine...

  • Cleans all the shit out.

  • Well if Im not mistaken If you put it on the Fuel it will be better b/c it cleans the tubbing also it cleans the injectors + it goes to all the system.. The only place I have used the seafom different than that is when Im about to do an oil change I put it straight to the oil cap and let it run for about 15 min and then flush.. Thats it.. Anyone can give comments on my info that will be great..

  • People explain seafoam like it is some huge mechanical capability. Arent the instructions on the back of the bottle?

  • yeah and they're crystal clear.

  • Whether the instructions are printed or not, it never hurts to provide a tutorial for those who haven't done the job yet and are looking for some extra guidance, don't you think?

  • @vserduchka : That is true, I am going to seafoam my jeep today and I wll have a video up tomorrow!

  • Sorry dude Seafoam doesn't go in the into the body. I goes into the main vacuum line and I hope you didn't pour the whole bottle in there. The motor should be running while you do it.

  • oh by the by do you realize with the engine at that angle only the back 2 or 3 cyl are getting the seafoam.

  • what is the purpose of pouring it in the intake do you have a sticking valve or something I have used seafoam for years and never poured it into the intake I just add it to my fuel...hmmm

  • looks like he's gonna go rape someone with those gloves lol

  • lol i thought he just wanted to show them off

  • what do you mean you "DONT THINK"

  • I thought the best way to do this was through a vacuum line?

  • As long as it gets into the intake I don't think it matters.

  • sweet gloves

  • @robcogliani rockin the OJ gloves. lmao
