Actually Saddam's policies, IE genocide, had Iraq's neighbors in an uproar. Whenever there is trouble world wide, who gets the call? The US, even UN actions are manned by 80% US troops/equipment. Their lives can and may be sacrificed for the greater good. The fighting people know that. Bush's plan was to keep the fighting away from us, and he has done that very well. McCain said in plain english he would "like" to freeze federal spending although congress would never allow it. That would be a good start on fixing the national debt.

Actually Saddam's policies, IE genocide, had Iraq's neighbors in an uproar. Whenever there is trouble world wide, who gets the call? The US, even UN actions are manned by 80% US troops/equipment. I say we should just sit back and let them deal with it, just to remind everyone what the USA is good for. Also, alot of soldiers join to try and live a better life after. according to 'the Tax Policy Center' a non-partisan group, Barack Obama's tax plan cuts 90% of the American peoples taxes more than McCain's, particularly the lower, middle & upper middle class aka if you make below $112,000 a year Obama's giving you a bigger tax cut then McCain. If you make $225,000 and up, however, then McCain is cutting your taxes BIG TIME. So just like Bush preached about cutting taxes & he ended up only cutting the taxes of the rich, McCain will do the same thing.

The problem is however, that the government still needs money. We're in debt big time. So if tehy cut the people's taxes, who's gonna pay? Business, we already have a service based economy and that sucks. We need to get back to making the things everyone needs and doing it better than they can. In short who cares if taxes are lower if you're unemployed. Give business a break, draw in new business and tax lower all around in the end. Tha's what it will take, anything else and we're screwed.
