  • great palying man!!!

what's the song you play from 0:04 to 0:25 ???

  • Just ordered a 00-15, is it a big difference in sound? love the sound in your 0-15

  • wow that was pretty awesome....

what kind of style is that?

    is it like country?

    i really need to learn..!

  • I have my father's Martin 0-15 that he bought brand new in 1941. I have his copy of the purchase contract. He purchased it on a time payment plan, paying $5 down and $5 a month for a total price of $25. He handed it over to me in the mid 1950's and I still play it today. I'll hand it over to my son one of these days. I guess its value has increased by about X100.

  • brillant playing. now I will need to take lessons again.

  • super mais quel est ce morceau à la fin ?? tres cool

  • ahh, I shouldn't be watching this kind of thing. I'll go out and buy one.

    beautiful sound.

    well played.

  • how much was that guitar?

  • i´m so jealous of you

  • I'm looking to get an 0-15.. I found one with a straight neck but the shop is asking 2,500. I wan't to talk them down to 2. But still think the price is a little steep.

  • I have one that I bought at Jimmies music in Manhattan--1959. Needs help.

  • seems jorma from jefferson airplane is a big infuence on your style at least on first part its great and bad ax to boot

  • how much did you pay on ebay for the 0-15? im looking around for one but ive heard there expensive.

  • woah nice collection man, what's your fav?

  • Excellent playing! Most enjoyed! Cheers!

  • How do you feel about the more current 00-15? Still as good?

  • is the body size of the 0-15 closer to the size of the 000-15 or the 00-15? thanks

  • Frusciante haas one

  • haha freak train

  • Great!

  • Great Player- Great Guitar Nice room acoustic

  • That first song sounds like Cocaine Blues when Keith Richards covered it.

  • Great Player-Great Guitar-nice room acoustic

  • @acrazyhippo21 it's freight train man!?!

  • @Ugot2WhyMe I think I watched Keith Richards video right before this one, I just thought they sounded similar.

  • what stings do you have on it? i have the guild m-20, very similar. the heavey laqure gives it that blusy sound. i would like to hear one with the finishe removed. Hmmmm

  • Just got a sexy one of these on ebay last night and i cant wait for it to get here

  • we just had a jam session, me playin' on my '59 0-18 haha!

    ~Ian

  • For some reason the finish on that one looks awesome

  • This is my dream acoustic. I love the way mahogany brings out the bass and midranges.

  • Nice guitar. I have one too and I love it.

  • sounds good man. Especially the tune in drop D. Im jealous how your pinky finger can hit the 6th string while you form the D chord. THats nice easy folks, even on a martin 0-15

  • The 0 bodied Martins are the best sounding ones they make

  • Ok I just went and heard the original and my friend, you are NOT playing it wrong... Wilco wrote the song IMPROPERLY!!!

Sorry Im not normally such a kissass (much more an ass) BUT I literally cant stand how cool that is the way YOU play it with the circular feel and ringing notes.

No joke- I dropped D the day I got mine and tried to rip you off. Hard to cop the feel you have going- thats the BEST PART.

OK Im done. But Im going to be watching and biting your style off this vid!!!

  • What you play at 1:07 is so fing ridiculously brilliant I had to mop up a bit...

What is that song? I love you played it in other vids and none sound even CLOSE to as brilliant as the 0-15.

No joke. I played that for my Mentor as one of the reasons I was looking for a 50s small bodied Martin.

Bought a 1955 00-17 today... Your vid really captures what I love about the small bodies perfectly!

  • Thanks, good luck with the 00-17 they have a thinner body and a more real guitar sound, not quite as boxy as the 0's. The song is the "The Thanks I Get" by Wilco. I'm not quite playing it correctly though.

  • @willec63 cheers to the Wilco cover! great guitars man.

  • same guitar John Frusciante uses

  • haha yeah i found this video searching for it on google

  • @beckley13 yeahh he's lucky !! i am jalous =D

  • Dwight Yoakum Honky Tonk Man

  • you think you'd ever sell that guitar?

  • hey there im not sure if anyone responded but i have the same guitar, well mine is a 54 martin o15 mahogany

im interested in selling mine to the right person if you get this go ahead and write me

  • very good song

  • nice guitar,

is there alot of difference between the

    0-15 and the 00-15?

  • The size.

  • where did you get it?

  • ebay a few years back, it needed a neck reset. It didn't sound to good before the neck reset, one of my favorites afterward.

  • Thanks for the info. If thats wrong, you dont want to be right!

Took the 00-17 to studio A (tuned wood room for orchestras) and holy crap... Just beautiful! My Mentor couldn't believe it either (Im an engineer). But it was tracking a client who had an 0-15 that made me go kookoo for small body Martinpuffs!

I was lucky. The prior owner of mine is a luthier at a local shop I use! It played like new, even with the wear and age.

Regardless, thanks for the vids- awesome examples!

  • amazing guitar...i want it!

  • ;DDDDDDDDDDDDD wertus 0-15

  • awesome!great sound!congratulations....5stars

  • Nice guitar and VERY nice playing.

  • actually its the same one

  • very similar to the one frusciante plays

  • whats the first song he plays????

  • i think it's called freight train

  • freight train and then I'm a honky tonk man

  • thats a woody guitar

  • brilliant guitar.

i think sean lennon has one of these.

    awesome little things aren't they.

  • i want that guitar so bad. im 6'4 too and i still want it..

  • Wilco, nice.

  • Damn that guitar is small. It would be too small for me I'm 6'4 lol.

  • this guitar have truss rod?

  • Yes it's martins old non-adjustable T-bar. Google it.

  • what is truss rod or t-bar? (sorry im german) i

  • it the bar/rod that provides a support for the the neck... the strings had a lot of tension

  • this guitar have truss rod?

  • You must have looked long and hard to find that. What a gorgeous guitar!!! I've looked all over for one in decent condition, but to no avail.

  • Well theres a reissue out, under 1000 dollars. Although reissues always miss the mark..

  • is the 0-15 the same size as a 000-15?

  • no...000-15 is the bigger one...but like already mentioned below, smaller than dreadnought size

  • man...this is very very sad. How can i get one? How do you get your's??? 0-15 that's all i want for life...

Anybody out there who has one for me.... buuuuhuuuuu :-(

Anybode out there who can help me??

  • so you know if the 0-15 is still produced? It's not listed on the martin-homepage anymore. Just 000-15 and 00-15---

    i want one...

  • Nope, not still produced. The new martin 15 series are braced differently than the old ones and have bolt on necks. They however are still great guitars, just different.

  • i like the sound of that one the best. i saw Johnny Cash in a Train documetary with one of those and ive wanted one ever since

  • Would you call the 0-15 a dreadnought size?

  • the 0-15 is much smaller, i reckon even the 000-line is still smaller than a dreadnought. sounds smaller, anyway...

  • I've got a '42 0-18 that is in the process of being put back together - it was a total basket case. This 0-15 sounds great. Are the tuners original? Nice playing.

  • Thanks, yes they're the original tuners.
