A LOT of the music from the original metroid is unapreciated and needs to be bought back. like Kraids Lair, the ending theme, and THIS theme. this theme is so awesome, it epitomizes metroid. metroid is a game that is about the dark side of space, and being all alone. this theme feels like it ephasizes the serenity of space, the side of space that isnt apreciated much in metroid. i hope Hip Tanaka does the music for the next metroid game, and that guy who did the music for super metroid

I've always enjoyed the Metroid 2d series. The FPS versions were a breakthrough in the franchise, but there was no way it would compete with the classic platformer. Original Metroid, Metroid II, Super metroid, Fusion, and Zero Mission are the best examples in history.

Since I was first introduced to metroid years back the first one I played was return of samus I've easily become hooked and they've established themselves as my favourite video game franchise of all time

Good question. Till now we have called it "Metroid Main Theme" or "Metroid Title Theme". I don't believe it is a theme for the metroid creatures, but a music theme for that whole adventure.

thos was the easiest metroid game i ever played. took me 2 hours 2 finish right out of the box. great gameplay. fusion was way more challenging and entertaining

The Zero Mission title screen is amazing. It's so very reminiscent of the title screen from the original Metroid, with just the barren planet surface and outer space background and this classic piece of music.
