Betcha Curran regrets going after Faber's leg...Shouldda just let the round wind down, then could've gotten the blood out of his eyes in his corner and regrouped; maybe tried to land some punches next round.
Plus Curran lasted the distance with Kid Yamomoto! I think it was bullshit that Faber got to waltz right into a title with the WEC and Curran had to grind it out for years--why wasn't that first WEC title fight Faber got
over a year back against Curran? Or Pulver, it was well known they were really 145's fighting 155ers in UFC. Can't wait til 2nite!
if you guys think it would be cool to meet him, a girlfriend on mine is being trained by him. We live in Crystal lake IL which is pretty close to round lake where he trains and comes from, but how cool is that?
I think Jeff should've trained some with Cahse Beebe, to get used to the speed of Faber's wrestling + threw more punches! Curran is a decent puncher--especially after
seeing Valencia waste that wrestler, Filho get bopped around (by a wretler w/ mediocre strikes--makes me question MMA vs Pro Boxers...), and Bowles k.o. of a mau thai guy
Remember the last time Faber fought a world class opponent, Tyson Griffin (now in hte UFC), he lost. Curran is Faber's first real test as a champion. Let's see Faber take on Matt Serra, who was 25+ lbs. heavier than Curran. Faber may be more exciting to watch, but it shouldn't be a shock if he loses---Curran has fought way, way better competition.
Curren should watch out for Faber's elbows, he made a bloody mess out of one guy. Curran will be the best opponent Faber has had in a long time, whereas Curran has fought higher level competition in the UFC and Pride.
I've predicted all kindsa shit in pro boxing, now getting the hang of MMA...Elbows (didn't anticipate that crazy-ass leaping knee to the face, though!)...

Curran didn't even try to punch Faber. Relied too much on hoping Faber would make a mistake--but he never did!
