Their difference is with the shell length, no?(i know a 38SP gun can't shoot .357 but the contrary is possible) Anyway that's what i thought, i might be wrong :)

@Rhinoch8 oh yea ur right the .357 mag has longer brass but basicly the same with a larger charge and with larger charges might give you options on the projectile grain. so think of the 357 mag as a 38 beefed up a bit so obviously its going to cost more due to material, back when i was new to shooting i thought the 38 special was gonna be more expensive because i thought the fact that it was a larger number and had special on it would cost more lol well i hope i helped

cmq è come hai detto te,se non si arma prima il cane (doppia azione),bisogna applicare una pressione maggiore sul grilletto,e di conseguenza la precisione cala di un pò,di solito i colpi tendono ad andare in basso a sinistra (io sono DX),cmq tutto stà anche come ,si preme sul grilletto,cioè va premuto con il polpastrello,e non col tutto il dito....

depends which desert eagle you have. desert eagles come in .357, .44, and .50 all magnums. the .357 model would be the same, but the .44 and the .50 would be more powerful

Lets say you were being robbed, and you shot the intruder, it can still go through the walls and hit one of your kids. I'd suggest a smaller caliber for home protection. .44 is a tramendously powerful bullet! But I can sqeeze off more .357's accurately between the .44 recoil recovery and re-aim. Although the .44 is more powerful, the .357 is in itself devastating. Some say the .357 is over-kill, that would reduce the .44 to the rediculous.
