It don't see why everyone hates the Ion. sure, they may not have the best reputation, but if you put the right upgrades into it, you can have on par with a Bob Long or an Angel. It just takes expertise. plus, paintball is 20% marker, and 80% player.

My friends have an Etek 2 and it has a so called "manufacturing defect" but the fact is that BOTH these guns have the Same defect where th Macroline keeps popping out but 1 gun is a custom limited edition and the other is a normal gun!

try checking your macro fittings, line, and seals, if that dosn't work it could be a problem with your high pressure regulator. before you check your fittings tho make sure you have some extra ones because smart parts likes to use red lock tight and god help ya trying to get them off. :P but if you have any more question's or if you figure it out let me know.

Because they're an inexpensive electric gun that work pretty damn well. You just have to have something called common sense.

Step 1 to making an ion a good gun: Read your fucking manual.

Step 2: Read the fucking manual again.

Step 3: Do what the damn thing tells you to do about taking care of your gun.

Step 4: Maintenance, every time you go paintballing. The day before you do routine maintenance, and the morning of you clean it before your first game.

I do that with my SLG regardless.

A. I have shot an Ion of my cousins and guess what, the first day he had it he wound up getting a leak by the reg trying to up the velocity cuz he was getting shot drop off

B. To be guns you need to pour money into them

C. They have no resale value what so ever

D. There are much better guns for the price

E. The reg blows compared to the Hyper 2 or 3

Only get one if you look to spend lots of money upgrading it to make it OK just to sell it for $120

darthturkey94 why are you comparing a stock reg on an entry level marker to a Dye Hyper 2 / 3, when those regs are sold as upgrades, or found on advertised high end markers? Of course it's inferior, duh. And why would you pour lots of money into an Ion? Entry level 17 BPS that's fairly accurate does the job for an entry level marker. Much better guns out there for the price? Name a marker in the Ion's price range that's better, that isn't simply the Ion under another name with a different shell.
