@Knowskandy Corey Taylor said he would like to see Slipknot, Mushroomhead GWAR, and Mudvayne tour together. You have a point that it's gonna be a couple years till we see Mudvayne again, but they could probably pull it off as long as none of the other bands are on hold when Mudvayne comes back.

Do your homework! Mushroomhead was doin this a long time before slipknot (which i love< not knocking em) in Ohio on there own label. Roadrunner Records wanted to sign them ,but to much B.S. in the contract. So mushroomhead said no thanks. So roadrunner created slipknot ,same image same style. Big companies get what they want one way or the other
@Stone45Deuce Actually, SlipKnoT started just 2 years after Mushroomhead in Des Moines and were already wearing the masks before they were signed too. I do think Roadrunner purposely tried to find another band with the same gimmick, though. Sucks that they started a rivalry between two of the best bands out there. I always thought they would've been better together (imagine what a joint tour would be like). They did make peace since SlipKnoT lost Paul, though, so maybe there's still hope.
@Stone45Deuce Anyhow, Mushroomhead ended up actually being better off that they didn't get stuck with that contract. SlipKnoT got shoved into the whole Nu-Metal box. Then when the scene ended and they finally got to do the music that they wanted to do in the first place, everyone was so used to the older Nu-Metal style that they ended up being accused of being sellouts. They can't win. So Mushroomhead definitely got the better deal out of that situation.

I would have to say when it comes to the mask thing the band that predates both SlipKnot as well as Mushroomhead when it comes to masks has got to be GWAR. Granted they didn't just use masks but rather complete costumes, I would still have to say the concept had have been adapted from a cross of GWAR and KISS.

@slimshaddy2010 Slipknots early stuff well only one album sounded similar to MH and it was their self titled album, but everything after that is very original with the sound leaning more toward Heavy Metal than the rap-core-ish shock rock that is MH if you want to take the time i can give you a few songs that could show you my point, and they are really good songs- People=Shit, (Iowa) ,The Blister Exsists (vol 3) ,Duality (vol3), and Gematria (All Hope Is Gone)

Alright look- Mushroomhead and Slipknot are just 2 bands that have similar masks and genres. There are many more, these 2 bands are just more popular than others. Both Slipknot and Mushroomhead said the feud had ended of over who-copied-who, so why do we have to keep it alive if both bands say it's all okay now? Personally, I like them both. Just drop it and enjoy the music.

@slimshaddy2010 Slipknots early stuff well only one album sounded similar to MH and it was their self titled album, but everything after that is very original with the sound leaning more toward Heavy Metal than the rap-core-ish shock rock that is MH if you want to take the time i can give you a few songs that could show you my point, and they are really good songs- People=Shit, (Iowa) ,The Blister Exsists (vol 3) ,Duality (vol3), and Gematria (All Hope Is Gone)
