  • That is my favorite lead solo of any rock song. And you NAILED IT!

    Great job, dude!

  • Thanks for posting this. I used to play this song in a band many years ago and I did the first 2 parts and the other guitarist did the 3rd part. I had never figured his part out until now after watching you.

  • u been them srings!!~! o hell yes!!

  • that was awsome. I played in a cover bar band for years. We played that song and I just now realize I wasn't playing exactly to the TEE that you just did. Great man. thanks

  • Freaky good. If I could master any song it would probably be this one. Rock on.

  • great playing and tone. there are times during the video that your tone actually sounds like the track. awesome

  • Man some sweet soundin playing right there. Makin me havta learn it for sure. Saw these guys last summer and this was one of their catchy tunes that kept ringing in my head. Ears were ringing pretty good too since I was right smack in front of the PA.

  • Wow man. Great job! Really smooth. You nailed it.

  • Excellent and inspiring. Out f**king standing!

  • Awesome job!

One of the best solos in any rock song ever and the first solo I ever learned (give or take a few inaccuracies) when I was 13 or 14 yrs old.

  • bro. i used your covers and lessons for therapy for a badly fucked up shoulder and hand and it helped so much. my playing got dynamically better too. i was wondering, can you break down another song i love like you did this one? i was thinking another park another sunday by the doobies. i'd also like it if you could do tell me what you want ( and i'll give you what you need) either way, i already owe you a lot. thanks bro.

  • i absolutely love this video.

  • what key is the second part of the solo starting at 1:37? all i know is that the 1st part is in dmajor. the 2md part looks like a different one.

  • (stands up to clap)

  • x c lent brother

  • Wow great job man.!

  • Great job, and thanks, gave me another solo to work on. Good lesson!

  • Duane Roland was one hell of a guitar player and us people with good taste will always appreciate the talent that he had as a member of Molly Hatchet. Miss You Man! Rest in Peace and we'll see you on the other side

  • Excellent!

  • fan damn tastic

  • guitare SG TROS COOL

  • PERFECTION

  • Great work as this is a "mirror image" of the real thing. Love it!

  • This guitar player is fantastic. He plays this song letter perfect. I'm very impressed!!! AWSOME job.

  • S G.......YEA

  • I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing where I can find tabs for this song. I have been looking forever and finally came across this video. I noticed you also had a slow mo of some of this song. Is that from a video lesson or something? Thanks

  • DUDE youse my hero! good angle on the guitar...i can see everthing i need.

  • GREAT TONE, I think it's gonna be hard to beat this cover. Good job!

  • Dude! you nailed it.

Thanks, I was unclear how they were doing some of the open pull offs. Love it when i see true talent.

  • i think A or E could be B too im not sure

  • what key is it in?

  • It is D major, but also a Dom. 7th feel is also used

    D major D E F# G A B C# D

    Dmaj Penta D F# A B D (F used as a passing tone to F#)

    Then

    D Dominant 7th D E F# G A B C D

D Dom. blues D F-F# G A C D (Aflat used as blues tone, and F used in association with F# as both a passing tone and as a replacement)

    Like this:

    up the scale, D F-F# G A C D

    Down the scale: D C A G#-G-natural, F D

Chords are also outlined using suspended notes as passing tones...

  • I think my son got his tab through Guitar Center.

  • nice job. is that a gibson sg? all i know is its an sg

  • Now THATS! what a SG sounds like. Damm hands were broken so my Martin D28 and my 70s Strat

is being played by my son who plays Segovia method.

  • Great !!

Where can I find the tab ?

    I've searched everywhere

  • It's all in this video man. Just sit down with your ax and do what he does. Love that 1:20 part. He sounds just like Dave Hlubek. I grew up w/ this song in my ears.

  • Except that this is a Duane Roland solo...

  • Este e um gringo brasileiro. Meio a meio.

    Aliaz, o melhor.

    Ulli

  • Good job man,showed me a few places i needed to improve,thanks.

  • Sorry I'm an idiot and didn't see your other video. Do you happen to have anything for the bit from 0:43 to 1:00. I'm not that good and can't tell exactly from the video.

  • Awesome job. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a good tab of this would you? I've looked everywhere and can't find any. Any help is appreciated.

  • I just happened to notic a bass guitar there, do you play that also or do you "jam" with someone else? I would absolutely love to play even half as good as you. Keep posting these vids, I watch them all the time.

  • Thanks for watching... currently I'm not jamming with anyone...but I use the bass to record some on my tascam and play a drum machine for some original music.
