  • If the dark ages never happened scriptures would make so much more sense. The Berith-ish period of Christian kings would be the 1000 year reign of Christ. I believe the viking myths are stories of actual people, Thor being king Arthur who was reigning around 600 AD. Exactly a thousand years later King James publishes the English Bible, God's word in a universal language. Then Satan is released and he has been deceiving the world ever since. The population explosion could be the 2nd resurrection.

  • @joroma77 Okay, the Dark Ages never happened!

The so-called "dark ages" were actually an Age of Light. It was the age of Byzantium and great advances in Christian culture. The first hospitals and Christian universities were founded during this time. The merchant class emerged, scholasticism, etc., etc. The term "Dark Ages" was coined by Renaissance humanists who preferred the classical learning of Greek paganism over Christian philosophy.

  • Hi please tell me how he still deceives us to do sin if he is bound

  • Just discover your video. Not sure what other positions you take, but on this point you are right. Satan is bound in that he cannot destroy the word of God, he is bound in that he cannot destroy the church, he is bound in that he cannot tempt us above our power to resist, and he cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

  • Understanding the kingdom of heaven,

    www3.telus.net/trbrooks/KKH.htm

Where is Jesus reigning with a rod of iron today? Where are we reigning with Christ today over the nations? Barack Hussein Obama mocks the Bible.

  • wow great answer

  • The nations are more decieved then ever, so how can satan be bound?

  • So if Satan is bound already, then the resurrection has happened too, all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire

  • Nations are open to a universal spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Is this a joke?

Tell that to people in North Korea, Viet Nam, Saudi Arabia and Afganistan and others.

And when was Satan bound? At the cross? In 70AD? When? People were certainly taking the gospel around more freely in the Apostles day (before A.D. 70) than is possible today in the nations listed above.

Either Satan is bound or he isn't.

Either he roars around like a lion or he doesn't.

  • One of the signs that the kingdom of God had come according to Jesus was that demons could be bound and cast out.

The kingdom of God on earth began 2000 years ago with the coming of Jesus.

The destruction of the Temple was one of the FINAL signs that the Kingdom had come.

We don't say the millennium began in 70 AD.

We say the millennium is a metaphor to describe Christ's kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

We don't say we have achieved final victory, just that victory is certain.

  • Jesus casting out demons and healing the lame were the credentials of Christ being the Messiah.

You say Christ's kingdom has now come to earth "as it is in heaven".

If that be true, then why does Jesus tell us to pray for that very thing? I have a feeling that if you visited Christ's kingdom in heaven, you might just realize how far this "kingdom on earth" pales in comparison.

Your view ROBS the kingdom of it's true glory and lowers it to this present world's equivalent.

  • pt 2

By the way, the thrust of my question was on Satan.

  • pt 3

Oh yeah, sorry, one more thing:

In the dispensational view, victory is also CERTAIN.

But it is ultimately Christ, not the church, who destroys the forces of darknes with the wonder and glory of His appearing: (Revelation 19:11-21)

  • So you are arguing for victory, but until Jesus returns we will be defeated?

  • I believe the victory promised in scripture will be absolutely won exactly as is predicted IN SCRIPTURE.

  • Nar.........I don't think so about satan is "totally" bound since so many hate crime exist particularly points towards Jews and zionist Jews

  • So if the nations are no longer being deceived, then what was up with Hitler and Stalin and 9/11? Why are there still occult practices and African tribes doing rituals to appease the gods of their tribes? And why is North America becoming increasingly secular and anti-Christian?

  • Wow! this makes sense.........

  • @matrxmax

    It does?

Has Christ come back and set up his kingdom?

This is the only time that Christ bounds satan for 1000 years.

If Christ is here, why is the world still living in satans lies and sins?

  • I can appreciate the fact we can not all agree with Bible interpretation. But it should not cause strife to this degree. I do feel like if satan is bound for almost 2000 years now his chain is way too long. I also can't square up other verses and prefer to take the Bible more litterally than this man. It takes less work. I am much more impressed by Chuck Missler's interpretation of Revelation. Chuck also shows proof that the pre millinium doctrine was formed long before 1830.

  • Historic premil has been around since the late first or second century. It was known as "chiliasm" -- the belief that the millennium spoke of an earthly kingdom. Papias, Irenaeus, Tertullian and Hippolytus held that view.

Athanasius and Augustine taught that the millennium was a metaphor for a heavenly kingdom. We are now in the millennium since the kingdom of God is here now. This was known as amillennialism or postmillennialism.

DISPENSATIONAL premillennialism has been around since 1830.

  • this whole series is completely bewildering

  • This is because you've never heard it before. You are thinking from one paradigm and this requires a paradigm shift -- never a pleasant experience!

  • yeah --- i think i will have to start over & listen to the whole thing...becuz somehow, i feel it's important, and i hate to miss vital info.

    THX!

  • 'The god of THIS world' is the Old Testament 'Jehovah'. Who has 'the power of Death' except the personification who in Genesis 3 proclaims that if Humanity shall ever develop morality and intelligence to be 'The likeness of Elohim, male and female' (Gen 1) then 'They shall surely die'? What else can this mean except that to recover our heritage that the 'true deity' is our own creative loving intelligence as Gen1 defines offends invented 'nature-gods' of blind ignorant 'obedience' like 'Jehovah'

  • This not literal the world is differant before and after prophet jesus

having god and jesus in yur mind gives you suport against the power of satan if you understand what i mean.

Regarding the 1000 years yes it is short if you compare it with the length of life on earth.

  • This is where Dr. Gentry and I disagree. I hold to the belief that Rev. 1-19 has already been fulfilled whereas 20-22 has not yet.

20-22 is the only time in Revelation that is not (short, near, soon) but separated by 1,000 year period of time. Whether that is literal or figurative is another discussion altogether.

However I do believe that the kingdom has been established but is still yet to come in fullness as well..."Already not Yet"

  • The 1000 years has to do with people from the 1st resurrection, and is not all about this earthly realm.

The time of the loosing of satan is a mystery.

Some are in the kingdom some are outside and this is in the now.

The earth is never to be destroyed. Check a concordance on the Greek terms used by Peter. He spoke of systems and principles burning up, not the world. He warned them.

The term thousand in most every place is a symbolic figure of speech. Check all this with a concordance.

  • Gentry agrees with you.

  • You cant translate or interpret based on what you understand. Revalations needs to be seen a s a whole and this guys isnt doing it. I have about 100 questions of prophecies that havent been fulfilled and the ones you do explain arent in full

  • this guy is a heathen wretched retard enjoy your swim in the lake sucka

  • he is bound 1000 rev20:2

  • no satan is bound yet we know Jesus win

  • I am not yet totally sold, but I am interested. My question is doesn't the wording of Didache speak in opposition to this view point.

  • I think all your video's on this are excellent..its hard for those with the pre-trib view to see this in a completely different way and their first reaction is to fight against it. It was hard for me to do that I know..but now I find this is the only view that fits and makes sense. So thanks for your work on this. God bless

  • BTW there ar three distinct and seperate beasts in revelation not just one (Rev 9 & 13) - this series takes away from the prophecy of the book of revelation by not commenting on or illustrating MOST of the words of scripture. REV 22-19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

  • To whom and for whom was the book written and when?

Those who first ended up with it in their hands obviously were to understand it.

By taking it out of it's first century context we change it's message.

Why deny that it was to and for people living in the 1st century. That contradicts what the writer of that books says.

Again - why do we have to apply what it says to the future and take it out of its setting.

This is why we Christians repeatedly see confusion and defeat.

  • How can satan flee if he's bound!??! why do we need to resist him if he is bound?!?! double talk. satan is still decieving, this video series is proof, c'mon people. Matthew 24:5"For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many.

  • Satan was bound in rev. 20. It is a long time AFTER The Lord was casting out demons (Mat 12:28-29), saw Satan fall from heaven (Luke 10:18), geve the great comission (Mat. 28).

Devis stil deceivs nations (are you blind?).

So what is the argument for that? Is it 2Tim.2:18 case maybe...?

  • You're missing the point, IMO. Jesus cast out demons because satan was bound by Jesus coming in his kingdom. That doesnt mean he didnt have to cast out demons, it meant that he could. So that principle remains. If satan is rendered powerless (a quote from Paul, past tense) then it means exactly that, and that we can cast them out and rule the kingdom of darkness. If we dont use authority satan can keep on his work but only becuse we let him. Then rev 20 is a teaching, not a foretelling.

  • Pastor can U explain 2 me this passage in chapter 19:20 say that the beast and the false prophet were cast alive in the lake of fire and if Nero was the Beast we all know that Nero commited a suicide But the Bible say that the beast was cast alive with false prophet in the lake of fire.Read here with Bible has 2 say revelation 19:20 "These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone"

  • So when did the millenial Kingdom occur, when did it end, what time/era are we in now? Millenium is 1000 years, then Satan is released for a short time again, do you suggest we are in this time now? If so, when will Christ Return? The new heaven and new earth will be created when? There is no ocean in that new earth.

  • The New Heavens and Earth has nothing to do with the literal creation..

  • Also nymphrenic said if Gentry lived in a remote imaginationland. Well I live in a country that is predominantly muslim. But I agree with Dr. Gentry completely. Why, I don't look at my country and then interpret the Scriptures according to its conditions. Yes amen the satan is bound because Christ's millennial kingdom is proceeding in victory in my country, He saved me and my friends and he will save more and more. Oh How little faith we have in what Christ accomplished...

  • this man is a false prophet, hes got the holy word of GOD compleatly turned around, this is false teaching, satan is not bound yet,he has not rightly divided the word, everyone beware

  • Dear Believer,

You are welcome to debate, but please use scripture and make points.

You CANNOT accuse Ken Gentry, someone who professes Jesus as Lord and Savior, of being a false prophet without evidence.

A particular eschatological belief cannot make someone a false prophet or a heretic unless they deny the Second Coming of Jesus altogether.

Also if you make fifth grade spelling mistakes and don't write in sentences, you argument isn't compelling. It makes you seem ignorant.

    - Jay Rogers

  • Either you don't know what the word "prophet" means or you didn't understand what Dr. Gentry was talking about. Prophets make assertions about the future, where in the presentation you see that? It is the dispensationalist writers who make such claims. How many times they've proved to be wrong and brought shame to Christianity. You can ARBITRARILY bring any accusations against Dr. Gentry but it will do nothing but add up to your sins because you've accused your brother without a just cause...

  • That's right, I forgot that the protestants could freely carry around their Bibles and be free from that "bound" devil.

Ugh. I've never heard anyone more absurd than this guy amd his whacky interpretations of scripture. Does he live in a remote hut in imaginationland, or what?

I wonder if he'll start making sense after 20 videos of pure nonsense.

    Boo!

  • Ok I think you are a very big elephant (that's what I deduced from your posts). Is my comment justifiable or plausible? Yes, it as much plausible as yours... Of course this is nonsense talk, you are a human being not an elephant, just because I called you so or I perceived you so doesn't change the facts, just like your viewing Dr. Gentry's view doesn't nullify its credibility. I wonder when the opponents of postmillennialism will be able to come up with good exegetical arguments.

  • im going to make a movie about the boook of revelations

  • wow ive only seen just a few chapters of this video and i already can see this guy has got it all wrong in interpreting revelations and i mean ALL.

  • People, either watch the WHOLE video before your comment, or try harder to understand his point. His point is that the word ´bound´ does not mean ´totally inactive´, but he is only bound from deceiving the nations. Which means that the worship of the God of Israel is open to other nations. This does not mean he won´t deceive people into believing otherwise, or even try to prevent this from happening. But it means anyone can come to Christ if he wants too.

  • @daghik15 See I found that absurd when he said satan no longer deceives the nations. Look at all the paganism around the globe. Even in our own Christian denominations such as Roman Catholicism. Look at the deception coming from false prophets. Have you watched the mainstream media lately? What about 9/11 being cave man from Afghanistan, executing a special ops class attack with box cutters. Give me a break. What about Islam? I guess they aren't deceived.

  • @daghik15 I say to you that there is more deception going on today then EVER before. If satan isn't behind it then I guess mankind does a better job of deception on his own without the help of satan. What did we ever need him for anyways? I watched these videos twice and I smell deception. Every deception looks credible but so much of what this guy says, doesn't hold up with the rest of scripture.

  • @daghik15 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

For this is my COVENANT unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Romans 11:26

Sounds to me like Israel holds a little more significance in the prophetic scene then stated by Dr. Gentry. I mean what about the Catholic inquisition? There is so much left unexplained. As usual, like every one of the other million end time views.

  • If you have to resists the Devil then he is not bound, and we are not free from him. He is still the running this earth. you need more time in your Bible or you need to get saved.

  • Did you even understand his point? He said Satan was bound in a certain way.

Start arguing from Scripture and refute him exegetically instead of saying "you need more time in your Bible" Or "Or you need to get saved? I mean wow, that was uncalled for. That comment is based on what?

How do you exegete Jesus statement in Matthew?

  • Alright, then according to this guy we can safely march down the middle of lets say Iran with the bible in hand shouting Jesus is our lord without being beat or killed? Ken Gentry needs to get out of his own little world and have a look at the real world!

  • No, but today there are a huge number of Iranians being converted to Christ when in the past there were hardly any or none.

We are seeing one of the greatest revivals in modern times in Iran.

The postmillennial view is that EVENTUALLY Iran will become Christian.

  • Gentry never said anything like what you have claimed. His authority is what Scripture says and not what he perceives in the world around him and reads it back into Scripture.

  • No I am unbound...and I am after you !!!
