  • Wow. Why don't you just LEARN how to draw!

  • すごいです。

  • So basically, what you do here is using inkscape to vectorize a bitmap? Cool idea, didn't think of that.

  • lulz, tracing.

    lrn2draw fgt

  • Right on. SVG makes so much more sense than raster formats for animé, and it's not hard to trace.

Tip: duplicate the outline, give it a huge blur (30-50 usually). Duplicate the fill, and use it as a clipping mask for the blurred outline. Gives you nice shading. :-D (Heavy blur takes FOREVER to render though... you can put it on a separate layer and turn it off when you work on other things.)

  • Download a bmb to vector graphic converter -.-

  • I think you mean Raster to Vector converter, and, Inkscape includes one.

  • yeah thats right pixel - vector yeah.. why don't he use it??

  • because it's not as fun as drawing it yourself?

  • I made an 8 step tutorial on creating a simple Inkscape design. took me 4 hours to make it, and im hoping it can help someone trying to learn the basics of Inkscape. This tutorial is for complete NOOBS though! for people trying to learn the basics of INKSCAPE.

    goto : wtfconcept,com

it's the lastest post on there. you can't miss it's titled : "Inkscape tutorial for noobs"

  • Those never work properly. >.>

  • too bad my graphics tablet doesnt work with it. :/

  • What tablet and when operating system do you have then?

  • how can u make a ring in this program?

  • You make a circle, then a smaller circle inside (you can just duplicate ctrl+d and resize it, might want to change color to see it)

then go up to Path>object to path (while both circles are selected then go to Path> Difference and you should have a ring!

  • im not baggin ur comment cause evryone is entitled to an opinion but rather than just thinking of the program think of wat else it can be used with. For example it makes creating shapes in phun a whole lot easier!

  • Too bad it crashes so often... hope the team will fix that soon :(

  • I'm afraid that it crahes within the Windows GTK port, this might just be something noone can fix and due to GIMP toolkit design, which unfortunately half of Unix software is based nowadays on.

  • Inkscape (with me under windows XP), just close without warning. Fucking annoying. Gimp btw never crashed or closed like that nor any other software, which mean this is nothing to do with gimp toolkit design. I still use it but have to save too much often and if i forget i risk to lose several minutes of works which is unbearable.

  • GTK doesn't stand for GIMP Tool Kit, it stands for Gnome Tool Kit.

And you can usually count on real issues like this being quickly fixed with Open Source. Inkscape runs well on my Windows machine, haven't had a problem with the GTK elements.

  • Yeah dude, even though this has been a month ago. Don't spazz out for your loss of knowledge.

  • Dude, you don't need an eraser for Vector-Based programs, just simply re-shape, size, or delete the lines.

  • master | i need mentorship

  • why do none of my raster options work?

  • I'm a complete noob. Do you have a text-based tut online 'cuz no audio and not explainanation/no tut on preliminary work in here means this newbie has no idea what you doin'.

  • is there a way to auto find the edges?!please send me a PM :P

  • Yes, but it's not very good (And never will be; computer edge detection requires judging important edges which computers can't do)

  • is this fast forward

  • cool can you do that on people to :P

    You did a good job

  • do you recommend inkscape?

  • si que sabes utilizar el inkscape

  • is this is japanese or korean person doing

    this ? o__o?

  • read the description, I think he's japanese

  • do you freehand sketch out the line drawing with the mouse or scan it in ?

  • trackball only

  • Awsome, how do you somehow magically trace out the path though?

  • Don't think, Feel!

  • huh?

Your brain is attached to the PC or something? ;-) Joking

  • mamiyaさんってすごくて上手いね‼

    今私はそのベクターを使うのが知ります。ありがとう!

  • It's the Bezier curves and straight lines tool (Shift+F6).

  • you can go "Path" then "trace bit map" and then play with the tool on the number of colors and such!!

  • It's wonderful using inkscape, I like more slow for each step since I'm the freshman in inkscape ^^
