Only my 3rd fav Bruce album (behind Nebraska and Born in the USA) and yet still one of my fav albums ever. That's how good this man is. Thunder Road is the greatest song ever written.

I can never make up my mind whether I prefer Nebraska to this or not or whether Darkness is just about the definitive Bruce Springsteen record.The River also stands tall.

Wonderful taste you got there.Love over Gold rarely gets mentioned as one of the best of all time but it certainly deserved to be revered in such manner

I was lucky enough to see him at the Armadillo World HQ (Austin) on his original tour when it came out, in the fall of 73. Pure magic, with Bruce starting it out at the piano as i recall. My first of many amazing Springsteen shows over a 35 year span.
