  • 4:53 the actor playing a Swedish soldier gets kicked by the horse under Kmicic/Olbrychski

  • One word. HUSSAR!!!! XD but i dont think those wings were used in actual battle, maybe ceremonial purposes. would've been diffcult to ride in full gallop with those things on, even for a skilled rider.

  • 1:52 Polish special forse

    4:10 Polish light cavalry

    6:40 Polish heavy cavalry

  • @odyniec27 4:10 Polish Mongolian cavalry

  • 1:52 Polish special forse

  • good film tho.. dunno what swedish have to do with spanjours fightings indians.......

  • Wonder what would have happend if the swedish-polish empire from 1590 wouldnt have been disbanded.. then we would probably be the greatest state in europe by that time..

  • Its not that i dont like poland but please dont talk shit.. you cant say were weak when we where the ones to end your great era (which u never regained). Infact sweden had such low population that in the 15th century people never could believe we would be one of the greatest empire even if our great era only lasted for 90 years.. If our king charles XII wouldnt have underestimated the russian winter it probably would have lasted for atleast 50 more years..

  • The good news is all you europeans can relive the past and refight these battles when your union and alliances break down, watch Greece closely it is your future.

  • its not like the US is immune to that either, now that Vermont have petition for secession.

  • @krashly71 lol and you guys can relive the past as a genocidal colony nobody gives a shit about. While China relives it's past as the greatest empire on the planet. Maybe even the Muslim-nations will get their shit together and reestablish the Ottoman E, considering what's been going down during the last year. What a brave new world, ey?

  • polska dobra ;] i nie pokonana :D 5/5 i sub

  • Damn vilka kanoner ! :P

  • very bad movie propaganda as always fuck you all propaganda makers!! sweden didnt get that owned but its like any other film always sweden bad guys fuck you poland but most of all fuck russia!!

  • It is the movie based on epic novel written in times of partitions of Poland to rise the Polish heart. But actually it is quite correct historically. Don't you remember us capturing Kołdynga fortress? We chased you on your land and that is just a fact.

  • "xganger2" You are pathetic...

  • @xganger2 Take it easy ffs. It's a polish film from 1974, based on a novel from 1886. Good luck finding a novel from 1886 that isn't nationalistic. We gave the author the prize in 1906... if even Sven Hedin was OK with it then so should you be. Also, if you're such a star in history, you'll know about the political situation in Poland during the 70's. Maybe, just maybe, NOT making propaganda wasn't exactly an option in this case.

  • 4:53 Kocham ten atak koński

  • No body is a winner in war

  • both armies were losers, it's a miracle that someone actually won that battle!!!

  • Serce roście, patrząc na te czasy!!!!

  • because Hollywood is run by the Zionists and they know Poland can expose Zionist in the real.

And we need famoust actor Mel Gibson. to do the new film about Polish King Sobieski siedge of Vienna

  • To bad hollywood dont make movies about all the epic battles and destinies of men in medival europe.

  • 4:55 - horse kicks a guy in his jaw haha

  • Yeah, big heroes, Swedes.

I hope that you like kebabs cause turks will flood you up! You're another country to lose your nationality and even those Swedish flags, hung at every house wont help you!

Feel the same as our ancestors and enjoy your group kebab.

  • Kmicic = badass!

  • カッコイイ!

    It's cool!!

  • By now the swedish cavalry had fled the field. The abandoned infantry was at the mercy of the poles that offered none. Lennartsson, von Hinkeman and duke Fredrik died with their men with pikes in hands. The massacre resulted in 8000 killed "swedes" (many being foreign mercenaries) according to some sources and 3850 according to others, about 1000 poles were killed as well. The defeat was total regardless of the number of killed swedes.

  • What are you talking about? The battle in this video were just a small tiny battle compared to the major ones fought during the Deluge, And Sweden won them all.

If you are talking about the battle of Kircholm the entiry army mainly consisted of Merceneries.

  • At Kircholm 50% of Swedish army were mercenaries. You were stronger, but our tacktics was "hit and run", so we won. You have defeted our army in 1655 because there was very big crizis in Poland - Cossacks uprising, war with Crimean Khanate etc. If we fight only with Swedish, there would be second Kircholm.

  • Impalement! or schwedentrunk!

    You choose!

  • and this is battle of Prostki - quite big battle, and we won

  • Battle of Prostki was a small battle compared to the major ones. Which Sweden won.

And no, Poland did Lose the war, It was the common peasent in Poland who fought back Sweden, Since they did uprisings in all towns we had captured, Your King had even fleed the country. Karl X could only stretch out hes hand and grasp the power in Poland, But he didnt since he only came to plunder which we did with great success hahaha. Denmark later declared war and we saw big oppurtunities there.

  • Yes, at begining we lose the war, but finish was sucesfull for us. And if you attacked us before 1648 (Cossacks uprising and Tatar invasion) you would have no chances, like 30 yrs before.

  • Before 1648 Sweden controlled a 300,000 strong disciplined army. If we attacked Poland then? There would be no Poland today. But we were busy killing Germans before 1648..

  • haha! 300,000? it is imposible! even Turkish sultan didint have such big army! Maybe you had 300,000 but not soldiers, all your population was like this. In 1655 Poland was invaded by 23,000 Swedish troops (I'm not sure, but something like this), so all your army was, I think, maybe 30-35,000, not more. In those times, such big army didint egzist! And if you dont belive me, just check.

  • Read about the 30 years war and Gustav II Adolf the great, He commanded a 300.000 strong army during the war in Germany(Holy Roman Empire). So i guess you change you mind about Sweden invading Poland before 1648 hahaha.

  • At 30 years war, at Gustav II Adolfs site there were 500,000 soldiers, but there were many Dans, Dutchmen, Germans, French etc, Swedish people was something about 100-150,000. It is quite alot, almost like a sultan army. But at this war there so many people died that you would have maybe half of this. And Poland? It was very big counry (1 mln square km, with almost 10 mln people), regular army was not so big, when there was war we could have 50,000 regular troops + 100,000-200,000 nobels from

  • Sweden did have a 300.000 strong army in Germany during the 30 years war. Look it up instead of writting nonsens.

  • pospolite ruszenie, and with great comandors like Żółkiewski, Koniecpolski or Chodkiewicz you wont have any chances p.s. also before 1648 Cossacks would help us. And at late XVI and begining of XVII ct we were the strongest nation in Europe.

  • Sweden were the strongest nation during the 30 years war. Just imagine, Sweden with its 1,2 million people! We were like Conan barbarian compared to everyone else.

  • Your talking about Commanders? Sweden were known throughout the entiry civilesed Europe for its great Commanders.

  • So why Gustav II Adolf lose with Koniecpolski and Chodkiewicz, and Carl X Gustav with Czarniecki? I know that Gustav II Adolf was great commander, but we had few great commanders. And I checked your army on Wikipedia - 150,000. Yes, it is quite a lot, but now enough for us. And I also respect that you had only 1,2 mln people and so great army, but as I had said, it wasnt enough for us (before 1648 ofcourse).

  • Karl X never lost one battle he commanded, And Gustav II Adolf never lost one single battle either which he commanded.

  • sorry, not Gustav but Carl IX, I was thinking about him, he had big luck that he alived Kircholm

  • The army at Kircholm werent a professional army, Compare that army with the Swedish army later.

  • Yes, later it was more professional, but even at Kircholm it was more modern than polish army, for example you had 11 cannons and we had only 4. And also you had 11000 soldiers and we had 3500. And remember about hussars - the best cavalry of the world.

  • No it wasnt more modern then the Polish army, The Swedish army were mainly made of low trained peasents with no experience of war or Merceneries. When Gustan II Adolf Rised to power he reformed the whole army, Drilled it hard and eventually made it to Europes best army.

  • If you say so, I must belive, I dont know history of Sweden to good. But still it was 3500 soldiers to 11000. I is simmilar situation to Deluge, we also didint have enough professional army, moast of them were only nobel cavalry, peasant infantry and Tatar allies, so according to your previous comment we had to fought from hide. Are there some Swedish movies about some Polish-Swedish wars?

  • No, We dont make history movies here sadly. Apparently the socialists in Sweden think we were the bad guys before or something. But Poland apparently likes to do movies about Swedes. Saw that you made a movie about Karl XII(CharlesXII) XD. Apparently the Swedes conquered the hearts and mind of the Polish people hahaha;)

  • Yes, they conquered, but unfortunately they are dark charakters ;) There is also movie "Stara baśń" were can you see Slavic ancestors od Poles fighting with Vikings, your ancestors, and you are also bad in this movie ;)

  • I saw that viking movie, at least a clip, and it was horrible. Why do they even try to speak Swedish? Why does the vikings have horns on their helmet?

It's a unrealistic and fictional movie and I'm almost glad that we don't have the same film industry that seems to be the ones writing history in Poland.

  • The film you are refering to is not about Vigings, who got there instead of Saxons, but legendary beginnings of Poland.

Speaking of "unrealistic and fictional movies writing history" how about "Arn the Knight Templar"?. That's a real treat - A Swedish knight templar, the only just Crusader, personal friend of Saladin, bringing some Saracens home to have running water installed. Danish cavalry destroyed by a few Norwegian archers, not to mention the charming picture of monastic life! :-)))

  • Arn is not, as far as I know, not a historical movie, It's not marketed as such, if the polish film is, I don't know.

But Jan Guillou, the writer of Arn is a joke, he has no historical credability and all he writes is fiction, most people in Sweden knows that, at least the ones intrested in history.

He's also half-french and hates Scandinavia in general, promotes everything middle-eastern and to a lesser extent, french.

So no, It's not a historical movie, It's based on a non-historical book.

  • @aldsza Yes it is quite creative in its details.....but movies tend to shy away from the facts as facts are typically not as awe inspiring....or clean cut. No hero is untarnished, no villain without good qualities. Audiences like 100% likable heroes, fictional figures who have perfect ideals and goals. Watch old movies about Pancho Via, they make him a Saint, and what about El Cid in Spain? He was not so pure a man as his movie depicted.

  • Almost all Swedish soldiers at Kircholm were scottish or german mercenaries.

Even on the polish side a great deal of the cavalry were made out of german and latvian cavalry, not to talk about the winged hussars were the majority were lithuanians.

  • Not great deal, only few hundreds. Polish army was made of Poles, Lithuanians, Tatars, Cossacks, Germans and Latvians, because Commonwealth was very big country with many nations, so army was also multinational. I'm not sure if hussars were Lithuanians, because commanders names were polish - Tomasz Dąbrowa, Teodor Lacki and Wincenty Wojna, Lithuanian was Jan Piotr Sapiecha.

  • @ulan1989 and thats when ur wrong. polnd was only made of polish people, lithuanian ppl, and thats it. the germans were the raders of our country. they said they were with us but all they did was loot, rape, and destroy the country till the uprising of a true polish king took them out

  • @ulan1989 Every noble could be a hussar, only if he had enough money ( every hussar buy his equipment by him self, except lances ). In hussars units were many Polish an Lithuanian nobles ;)

  • I looked for composition of swedish army, and I found nothing about mercenaries. Propably they were, you know better. And in this movie, jarl had horns, because it was about nowel of Ignacy Kraszewski, who was writting in 19th ct, and they realized his vision. It isnt historical movie, it is only polish legend.

  • There are no Vkings in Kraszewskii's Stara Baśń - only Saxons. Vikings got into Hoffman's film because of the bizarre career they have made in pop culture lately. So their image is also pop culture (horned helmets) mixed with Polish love for cavalry charges. By the way general admiration for their criminal activities like robbing, killing babies or unarmed monks (or human sacrifices for thei gods) is a bit shocking to put it mildly.

  • of course, mu mistake

  • Actually once I saw SWEDISH historical book about Vikings whith a picture of horned helmet on it. I would never say that this meand that autor was in idiot, it must have been just a marketing approach. Same you can see in "The Delunge" movie - hussars have giant XVIIIth century style wings while for real they hardly used even small wings in this war because they had too many other weaponary problems. To much looses.

  • Yep it is marketing, many are taking profit from picturing vikings with horns because it is recognized by many.

  • This great deal of cavalry was about 300 hundreds reitars from Kurlandia. In that time it didn't matter what kind of nationality soldiers were, just who had better art of war.

  • Exactly, much of the nations soldiers during the 17th century were mercenaries, no matter what nation it was.

  • Yes, in the beggining of Chmielnicki uprising at the Battle of Yellow Waters eg. German Dragoons were traveling by boat with some Cossacks of Registry. Those Cossack decided to betray the Commonwealth and join Chmielnicki and proposed the same to German dragoons but they decided that they prefer to die than become a traitors and they fough against these Cossacks, none of them survived.

Gdzie? W Empire Total War. Hussssariaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  • hmmm.. Swedish pikemen and cavalry should have had heavier armors. Not like some dudes on picnic trip in this movie.

  • meddle ages passed long time before the period of this war dude... Polish heavy cavalry was heavy armoured as for those times but 50 yrs later it was uneccesary because o f the gun's evolve.

  • First at that time pikemen were still main fighting force and sure they had heavier armors. About cavalry, after I put the comment, I saw plate armor on some of them (not all) and it is somehow truely depicted. 50 years later, when the Swedish fought the Russian under command of Peter the Great, they still wore those shinny armors even dragoons had been largely introduced in many armies.

  • The dragoons in the Swedish army during the Great Northern war had harnesk on them. Not all of them but some of them.

  • Im to tired to even read ur comments.

  • Poland was occupied Moscow (twice in fact), while Poles was occupied Moscow (twice in fact), while Sweden even in their "Great Era" wasn,t strong to do it. Poland won many wars with Germans, Rusians, Turks and Swedes, often with some of them at the same time. Why Poland got invaded? Because Russia and Prusia were scared if Poland will be strong again. Why Sweden wasn't invaded? Because no one wanted to live in your poor, shity country :) It's the only reason why Sweden still exist.

  • of course Poland was european power and every hirtorician would say it. you are just small, envy troll so you can't accept that :) and Polish soldiers are known as heroes in many countries, not only in europe at all. Does any heard about "Swedish bravery" ? ;> Poland was invaded, invaded and invaded? Not all the time in fact. Before XVIII century Poland was most powerfull country in this part of europe and rather was invading then got invaded.

  • How many battles swedes are famous for? 5? 6? Poles are known as one of the best and bravest soldiers in the world. We saved europe from turkey and soviets. Swedish history looks realy poor compared to Polish and your barking will not change that boy. btw Swedes were weak pusies compared to Finns in winter war for example. ;]

  • How many battles are Poles famous for? 1? Battle of vienna? hahaha!

  • Tannenberg, Kircholm, Klushin, Berestechko, Vienna, Saragossa, Borodino and every importan battle of Napoleonic Era in fact, Warsaw, Wizna, Battle of England, Tobruk, Falaisse, Monte Casino, Berlin and almost important batlle in Europe and Africa during II World War for example.

  • monte cassino, tannenberg, battle of vienna, caen-falaise, operation market garden, narvik, tobruk, capture of moscow, kiev, usa independence war, napoleonic wars when polish force was about 15% of great army walking on russia, we were fighting with mongols and turks during their supremacy in asia and europe. and sweden is famos for.............................30 year war. Congrats.

  • 90% of the battles u count up wasnt Polish battles haha!

Stop ur bullshit now, Im talking about Pure Polish battles, Not wars and battles some Polish soldiers fought in.

  • pure polish battles? What do you mean? where the 100% army is polish? We were european power which had lands with other nations so they fought for us. Of cource main, decisive power was always polish, and strikes with polish forces decided about the battle score. Those battles he mentioned are our battles becuase we won that for our and their matter. There is many battles in early ages where we won by our almost 100% polish armies with germans, czechs, tatars, and ourselves during the civilwar

  • Sweden was the third biggest Country in Europe with one of the Worlds strongest armies, We even had the Strongest armies Twice! " Wow! Sweden had the strongest army TWICE!!! and was "great power" for ~70 years!!! I'm realy impressed of yours seasonal "empire" ;] but why before and after that Sweden always means nothing? They were so powerful, aren' t they? ;> Poland was one of the biggest countries in europe for over 250 years and european power for over 200 years.

  • you had your 5 minutes of fame during that period, i mean 17 century. but later Sweden wasnt known as europes "fighter". we fought during napoleonic wars, ww1, ww2. And yes we were an easy target but just because we waged wars on 3-4 fronts at that time. I dont think that backstabbing a fighting country is "brave". And one more thing, bravery doesnt depend on nationality. Example: Napoleonic wars - very brave french soldiers; ww2 - french were lame soldiers

  • Decisison to weaken Poland was probably the most stupid in whole Swedish history. You're a big and powerful country nowadays??? NO, then who is e.g. Russia. and now ur country is shitty and you think only about conquering Europe by Ikea.

  • Sweden weakened Poland to get stronger, and Sweden keeped Russia on their side until the Napoleon War when Napoleon ordered Russia to invade Sweden without any declaration of War. Which took us by surprise.

  • Wolfsangel is right it was mistake to invade us that time. Russia was rising to be a superpower in eastern Europe. After Poltava Russians took everything, They won, Poland started losing independence Sweden completely lost its hegemony . What? "Until the Napoleonic wars"???!! Russian Navy already plundered your coast by the end of Great Northern War.

  • The coast yes, but they never managed to attack the Swedish mainland. No army have ever managed to do that. During the Napoleonic War Russia managed to come to Northern Sweden, But there their invasion was halted.

  • Actualy, russian cavallery stood near Stockgolm two times during Great Nothern War. First time in 1718 when your king, Charles 12, capitulated. But english agents killed him near Fridrihsgam and new queen, Ulricka-Eleonora (ally of England), imidately started new war against Russia... and after few battles russian cavallery stood near Stockholm again in 1721. That was the end for Swedish empire...

  • Charles XII never capitulated against Russia when i lived. And the Russians where never outside Stockholm, And have never been. Thats bullshit from your side.

  • Just take some book and read it! Russian cavalery stood near Stockholm two times in Great Northern war (1718, 1721) and two times in the last war 1808-1809... But in 1743 there was Russian fleet in gulf of Stockholm. And it had 9 regiments of infantery as assault landing and Sweden capitulated there too. By the way, what do you mean by "when i lived", your are 300 years old?

  • I have read plenty of Books about thoose Wars, And noone tells of any Russian army outside Stockholm. That sounds like Russian Propaganda from the Russian Communist Era to me. The Russian came to Northern Sweden from FInland, But their assault where halted and defeated.

  • But I don`t belive in your historians which teel 20 century wrote that Charles 12 lost his battles only because of running nose! By the way could you please tell my at least one battle you had win since Poltava? Including wars 1741-43, 1788-90, 1808-09?

  • "But I don`t belive in your historians which teel 20 century wrote that Charles 12 lost his battles only because of running nose! "

Thats a made up thing by the Communists hahaha, The reason why Sweden lost the Great Northern War and Poltava was because of the supplies which never came to the Army, Food e.t.c, And the ammuniton supplies which mostly never made it to the army, ANd mostly because of the Russians "Sorched earth technieq", Burning down your own villages and hide your food.

  • Sweden have won one of the biggest naval battles in History, The battle at Svensksund. Think it was in the wars at 1788-1´790. In the wars at 1808-1809 the Swedish army at the beginning where very succesfull, But when the traitor Cronsstedt surrendered Svea Borg The Russians got acces to the Coast of Finland and could put in reinforcements there. Sweden won a lot of battles after the Great Northern War.

  • Polish troops captured Stockholm in 1598.

  • Battle of Stegeborg 8 September 1598. In Sweden it is part of the War against Sigismund, of the Polish-Swedish Wars. 6000 Polish army defeated 18000 Swedish soldiers and captured Stockholm.

  • And we have taken warsaw 2 times. Your point?

  • it is easy to invasion country, which got tired wars with neighbors, it is in the center of Europe and has small army to defend so large territory. But when u have country on peninsula and u lost battles when you have so big outnumber of troops you are weak.

  • so what? give me one reason to invade sweden and capture stockholm. your capitol was a shithole at that time, even lions on front of your royal castle are from poland

  • To tombry76wawa: There are no reliable sources as to how many people there were in either of the armies at Stegeborg. But it's believed that roughly 300 men of duke Charles army died. 17 days after the battle at Stegeborg, king Sigismund was defeated at Stångebro (25th september 1598). It's wrong to say that king Sigismund captured Stockholm, he was the rightful king of Sweden and much of nobility supported him, so he already controlled Stockholm and Finland.

  • man, you're so gay! swedish blond gays:) sweden is so shit country. you should all hide yourself in ikea box. Norway and Finland is much better... and people are more friendly:) go fight with polar bear:)

  • cant be gay if your strong enough to take on a polar bear, no? i would like too see you do it.

    ;P

  • e did kick the Swedish ass and Poland has destroyed the Swedish Navy. Sweden never come back to Poland After our Polish Victory

  • The battle of Warsawa, Swedish army lead by Karl X, Against an superior Polish army. And that battle we won. deafeted ur soldiers,ur hussars.

  • because our stupid king did not sent reinforcements to the hussars, They couldn't won alone against whole army.

Przecież On żyje!!!!!!!!!!

  • Spokojnie, nie uśmiercam go, chodzi mi o stworzenie tego filmu, jak i całej Trylogii.

  • how tha heck did the russians allow a Polish patriotic film under this time

  • Because it was fight against 'imperialistic bad western Sweden';). On the other hand they didn`t allow to make first part of the trilogy - 'Ogniem i Mieczem' - where Poles fought against Cossacks.

  • thanks

  • And ur people got killed like Rats in that war.

  • Civils always dying...Especially when they were murdered by barbarians like swedes..

  • Just so you know, we won many battles against Poland..

  • and vice versa

  • We owned ur Country.. Ur king even fleed FFS. Karl X had the oppurtunity to claim the Polish royal throne, But didnt.. because he just wanted to plunder ur Country and get wealthy again. When we had won the 30 years war were very poor in wealth, And Poland was a good choose to invade and plunder to get wealthy again.

  • He didnt want to claim throne becuase Sweden had no chance in oipen war with Poland, alone. He just used situiation when PL was in war with couple other countries...

  • what?? He seeked an oppurtunity to crush the polish main army all the time, But u poles put it back time after time after time because u didnt want to risk an deafet.

  • And it's what i wanted to explain you before. We didnt wanted fight you with main army on the open field because country was weakened by fighting with other countries already (we didnt want to risk)...If we had had only you to fight I am sure we could easily beat yiou in couple battles.

  • But you attacked when:

    1) Poland was plagued by internal strife

    2) Half of nobles sided with Swedes initially

    3) Regular army was decimated by war with Russia, which already took Vilnius

    4) We were weakened by rebellions of nobles

    5) We were weakened by Ukrainian uprising

  • This stupid king was Swedish, mate.

  • He was from Vasa family. He was Swedish. And well, before that you have tasted Polish steel quite a few times. Kircholm is not the only time when Swedes when defeated. And always you too find excuses ...

  • Yep, and Konitz is not the only time when Poles where defeated. And always you find excuses.

  • Is that the same steel you sold to the Nazis during WW2, mate??

  • haha, good joke;) swedish gayyyyys...

  • so it was Gays who massacred ur People like Antz?

  • battle of kircholm- 3 750 Polish vs 12 300 Swedish. POLAND WON (Poland:100 killed, Sweden: over 8 000 killed) So who was massacred?

  • The battle of Kircholm were ages before the Great Era time in Sweden, Were our armies were reformed into one of the Worlds greatest armies. And during the battle of Kircholm there were mainly German Merceneries fighting.

What about the Battle of Chojnice? Whats ur excuse there?

  • Sweden just controlled scandinavia, but poland controlled nerley half of europe (estern europe), Sweden was then and have always been a poor peasent country untill modern times... Can you tell me what happened after Karl VII died? Swedens "big" era died, and if Sweden had this world dominating army can you please tell me why Sweden lost at Poltava with one of the greatest worrior kings that sweden ever had and can you also tell me how Russia overruned Sweden and lost finland to them?

  • Sweden was the third biggest Country in Europe with one of the Worlds strongest armies, We even had the Strongest armies Twice!

Sweden lost at Poltava because of the Russians tactic Sorched Earth Technieq, and because of their massive Numbers.

  • Exactly, due to a poor commander who didn't take that for notice (it was an old tactic already then)..

I'm not arguing that Sweden weren't great warriors becouse that would be an obvious lie. But swedish history tend to be sometimes hugly overdrifted and they don't take nations like Russa in thire considiration who divided the power balance against Sweden and keept Sweden in place.. summa sumarum what I was trying to say is that Sweden weren't so great like you and many others sound it to be.

  • Sweden fought 4 Countrys during the Great Northern War, We crushed them all, Even RUssia in the beginning of the war.

But when we later invaded Russia they used sorched earth technieq against us, Which made us lose.

  • well at least we dident join them like the finns, italys, japs or gave the ss troops like norway =/

  • and lost even more...so what's the point of your post? Swedes didn't change since viking times, they were plundering barbarians in 10th as well like in 17th century... so i don't get why are you so proud of this...f.e. i'm not proud what poles did in russia in early 17th century (i mean putting some idiot on a russia throne and holding Moscow/Kremlin for 2 years) and you shouldn't be proud bout plundering and killing civilians...deluge wasn't like 30 years war, mind that

  • What battle is this? And was it Karl X who lead the Swedish Army?

  • i'm not sure but i think it is battle of Prostki (8 X 1656) and it is polish betreaydor Bogusław Radziwiłł with swedisch army against polish-tatar army of hetman Czarniecki (in history it was battle of swedisch-brandenburgian army with polish-tatar army of hetman gosiewski)

  • Okey, Is there no big battles? Because that battle cant have been big. I mean in the Movie, Is the Battle of Warzawa in it? It was the biggest battle during the Deluge and Sweden won it under Command of Karl X.

  • no, there isnt battle of warszawa, battle of prostki is the biggest in this movie, but battle of warszawa is in book "the deluge", movie is schortcut of book

  • 1. Sweedes won the battla Warszawa, but lost the war. :)

It was defeat but Poles withdrew in organised way to the other side od Wisla losing some artilery.

    2. The of battle of Warszawa is mentioned very shortly in book. It is huge describtion of taking by Polish forces Warszawa from Swedes after the siege (Zagloba's "fight" with monkeys). It was shortly before the battle. Swedes have taken Warszawa once again and after short time they withdrew (but made big robbery - such were the times)
