  • i don't now much of Angela Aki and less i was a big fan but i love the song, the feeling in this is just... pure

    like me so much *-*

  • i love her music and i really do appreciate the translation but i preffered the more up-beat and joyfull song/s for instance tashika ni

  • I never could understand why this song hurt so much. It wasn't a bad hurt, it was a good hurt now that I understand it. This makes me want to talk to someone whom I have been becoming acquainted with lately. Maybe he'll understand. Thank you, for translating...and thank you, angela aki, for speaking to my heart so it could explain to me.

  • Hey thanks for translating, I really love this song. I hope to learn Japanese someday. It's such beautiful language, and the culture is amazing.

  • Interesting you chose to understand the last line of the song as "... we can get used to happiness". I always understood it as "Because I/we can become happy". I guess that's the cool thing about not writing a specific kanji for the word なれる (nareru) - it can mean both things... Depending on how you choose to understand the song.

    Thanks for making this vid!

  • @Cacti87 I do believe your translation is the more "accurate" or more literal and also more relevant to the context of the lyrics. Through my understanding, she means that "We will feel happiness because we can/or are able to be happy" or something to that effect. Japanese is such a peculiar language which is why I love it. I'm not sure about the "so" or "used" chosen by Ryuusei7... it doesn't fit literally or context-wise.

Thanks for the translation anyways and video! :)
