Hi, I love all of your videos, especially the arcane mage guide and fast raids guide, they really helped. I just have 1 question: Why do you have Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting as your skills? I checked, and the major upgrades from BSing and JCing are not even nearly as good as your gear. Are they just for making money? if so, what is your secret?

Blacksmithing gives 2 extra sockets (on hands/bracers)

Jewelcrafting gives JC only gems (for eg. 27 strength instead of 16) plus it fits any slot and you get the socket bonus.

The slight changes that they made when they made Malygos be 6 minutes (documented in the written strat, although obviously I can't change a youtube video) mean that you don't care nearly as much about luck (or about DK's to deathgrip.)

Also means that you can't breeze the achievement by bringing crap dps and stacking sparks.

Means you need to bring good dps, not alot of healers and people who know what to do.

When this video was made/posted the achievement was /facepalm., you could've probably done it and got heroic: A poke in the Eye, at the same time.

indeed, in that video, everyone (except for the healers and MT) had an average of around 2k dps. not exactly worthy of the plagued photo drake is it.

6 healers? The dps couldn't beat his enrage, which is incredibly quick for the amount of health he has, unless of course the DPS are valorous gear.

6 healers on 25 man. Take 5 if your healers can do it (we use 5.)

Don't use 6 healers in P3 obviously. Use as few as you can (I believe we used 3-4.)

about how much total dps is your raid doing in phase 1? doing it with the usual strat it takes us about 4 min w/o any sparks, however it seems we would need to do it in about 3 1/2 min to be successful with this?

You don't really need any specific DPS in phase 1 but he should be at about 55% when you start stacking the sparks together so that gives you a little more than 2 flights to get him that low.

Nyxai, thanks for the video. Well made and well edited. Explains the strat well. We'll give it a shot. One new thing I learned was about 3 roots and 4 sparks instead of 4/5.
