I can tell you, Snowy White has been around just as long as Clapton or any of the others...plus he has much more feel, coming from the Peter Green school of guitar.
Similar with another guy from UK , Dave "Clem" Clempson, who is so underrated. Snowy was playing the circuit in the UK in the 1960s. He's in his mid 60s now like EC and the others.
It was about 2 years ago I loaned my DVD of Roger Waters "In the flesh" to a friend of mine and fellow guitarist. He wasn`t familiar of Snowy White. A week later he passed the DVD back to me and said "Why isn`t Snowy White world famous like Clapton, Page and Gilmour? He can hold his own with any of those guys"
@DoubleVisionandco Probably because the other musicians you mentioned have a very long and proven track record. Snowy is a great musician but has only been around a fraction of the time of the others. Also I don't think he goes in for all the rock star bs either
Saw Snowy live a couple of years back in Deal, and I can tell you it was an electrifying experience. Such a small venue, you got right up close and personal with the guy. Brilliant guitarist. Affable, personable, unassuming guy. An all round great!
Love this version by Snowy. Guitar tone to die for and what a wonderful band backing. Great tasteful solos and vibrato technique. One of my favourite guitar players of all time. Thank you for this video
i would have all the respect in the world for snowy if he would just play guitar... not a fan of his timid singing style... its like the polar opposite of pink floyd when all of his stuff comes off as so passive
Nice Guitar Sound
Very good Version !!

@DoubleVisionandco The reason he isn't famous is because he never got promoted NOR did he ever really promote himself.
He's quite the anti-star. He has been around for some 4 decades plus.

Does he ever play with a pick?
I like how he so tastefully plucks at the guitar. Great tone. Interesting technique he has.
Great band backing.
