I got the samsung 51' plasma 720 HD ready. I'm now hoping I should have gotten a 1080 LCD or LED. The plasma is so pixely. Movement is smooth as advertised but the image is very blury. I don't really understand the "sharpness" function. What does it do? And how far away shall I situate the tv for it to be at its max picture quality? Does distance matter? Your help will be thoroughly appreciated. I'm kinda bummed out at the moment for buying this.
your video will look better when the xbox is set to 720p on this tv since it has a native 720p resolution, at least the 50 inch has a 1280x720p but I think the 42 inch has 1365x720p. the more scaling up of the original resolution that your game is rendered at, the worse your image quality will be.
TV clicking hits all brands. The number of complaints represents how much market share the brand has. Samsung can't be singled out on this. They all have issues. Remember the only people complaining are the people with problems. Most people don't have issues.
@maltyful That would be why, if you can afford it, wouldn't you buy an extended warranty? I'm not goinna put down 600 bucks on a tv and not have it covered a few extra years, thats just crazy...and ALL tv brands have issues...I guess it just depends on the luck of the draw...if my tv breaks it would be the first electronic item that has ever broken down on me.
worst review i've ever seen

@johntrebec
thanks for this, I had mine set up to 1080p which makes my games look bad, hopefully tweaking with this setting will make it look better.

How are the speakers on this unit? Are they doable? Could I crank it up enough to hear just fine at 8 feet away?

10,000 complaints about samsung tvs on the consumer affairs site.
Any other make tv had less than 900 complaints.
If you can't see anything wrong with this your an idiot.
