  • no he definitely said "help us out it goes like this"

  • at 1:56 I think he said, "have to shout, it goes like this..."

  • What the hell happen to music in America. I have a hard time believing people listen to the crap today like that idiot Lady GooGoo. Whatever she calls herself. Music hasn't been worth a damn for over 30 years. America and others capture the spirit of our musical souls. I will that the 70's over any decade of music.

  • @CrimsonChampions If you have extremely high standards - As in, Music has to land in your lap and appeal immediately and sound like what you already like AND have the same magic America have even though the new song hasn't had time to grow on you - Then yes, Good new music "Doesn't exist". Its all fine to love the music you've loved for many years but please, Don't diss all new music based on just a tiny bit of it.

  • @CrimsonChampions - you are right and you know why, because the fifties, sixties, seventies and some 80's and yeah a FEW songs today, you really dont have the songwriting and you can actually listen to the words and dont have to guess what someone is saying.I wish all the new music took a cue from early musicians.kids think today anything that rhymes is music.its a shame.

  • what did he say at 1:56? please

  • @davidenrico73 "help us out it goes like this"

  • @CrimsonChampions What the hell happened to MUSIC full stop:-) bring back this period......

  • what did he say at 1:55 please?

It always gets me cheered up when I hear it.

  • I LOVE THIS BAND..!!

  • gracias por este video es una linda cancion que era el tema de un programa dominical melod rock en radio fabulosa en mi querida san pedro sula honduras

  • holy shit more than 30 years and the song sounds the same

  • I finally figured out what my problem with contemporary rock 'n' roll is. I'm a lousy singer, so naturally I like to drive around singing along at the top of my lungs with the radio. And it seems like it's been years since I heard anything new that I wanted to sing along with. Whatever happened to the "Sister Golden Hair"s and "Baker Streets"s and pretty much anything from Journey or the Eagles? We need more interesting lyrics and tunes that aren't either hostile or depressed.

  • Why can't music be this good today? I turn off everything on the radio now, it seems..

  • llloooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvee that sooooooooonnnnnnngggggggggggg

  • bubbly

  • This is 2006 actually i got that dvd :)

  • Man I have always loved this song. They reached out and grabbed it from the ether

  • One of my favorite songs when I first moved out to California - a guy actually wrote a poem about me when we listened to this song. Wish I could find him now, but that was so long ago. Don't remember his name, but I thank him for the poem.

  • i love this song sooo much. i've really been obsessed with it this week

  • amazing song!!

  • bkavery!! I saw you! I was behind the guy who was dancing on the west side! I stayed up until 3:30 when I made myself go to bed because I kept listening to America youtube songs. It was great!!

  • I was at the Rosebud also!! I am wound up and can't sleep. I loved the concert!! I got to shake their hands, get autographs, and talk to them!! Where did you sit? I was in the third row from the stage!! Fun!

  • Hi, Sat in the front row middle section. I was the only one dancing in the front row to this song. They love what they do and I love them as much as in the 70's

  • What a great song! The back up vocals in this version are right on! A lesson to all up-and-coming bands!

  • 3 days til I get to them in concert for the first time. Have been waiting almost 35 years. Go America!!!!!!

  • i just saw them about half an hour ago at the rosebud theatre in effingham, illinois and i actually got to shake their hands and i got their autographs,i was wering my led zeppelin shirt and dewey commented that he had talked to jimmy paige two days ago, they also said that they were zeppelin fans

    Your brother..

    LALO.

  • awesome song exactly one of the most underrated folk rock band.they didnt get the credit like they should get.because on this fucking planet they are too many stupid monkeys dont have any sense for good music.only money money money does matters surely without the bucks it cant go on but theres a limit

  • love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is EXACTLY why these great bands should stop touring when they stop being good. This is a pitiful remembrance of a good group and a great song. Sad.

  • Can someone PLEASE post a version of this song that is NOT live and not a COVER song?

  • this is suchhh a great song!

  • America is band back from the 70's. They wrote Sister Golden Hair and it came out as a single in 1975.

  • These guys and this song are American history. The punks who think this is someone else song recorded recently make me sick! Gerry has one of the best and most unique voices of any great American singer. They are magic!!!

  • he sounds a lot older now lol still good but after watching the one where they are all energetic and pumped this is kinda boring

  • what the fuck is up with his voice??? he has like a lisp or something?? WIERD! he isn't like that on the album..

  • Green day? Was that created by the communist Al Gore?

  • another one in denial,so little time so many idiots..

  • Another song ripped off by Green Day.

  • what song is it?

  • "Scattered"

  • considering this was made in the Early Seventies and was one of Americas ORIGINAL songs i think its very likely that Green Day wrote this u idiot

  • What the fuck are you talking about?

  • America appeared in the early 70's and Green Day many years after, so the didnt copy this from Green Day by the simply reason that grenn day hasnt been created in that date

  • Ok, I don't know why you and everybody who comments on this video are so fucking stupid. I said "ANOTHER SONG RIPPED OFF BY GREEN DAY." According to the English Language, I was saying that GREEN DAY STOLE THE SONG FROM AMERICA, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Learn to read.

  • is this a serious comment? if so, i suggest you never speak again.

  • i agree with u..there are too many idiots...(from phillies fan)where did he get green day from?geez

  • Love this song so much.

  • ````good~~~~good~~~~~~

  • Five white guys harmonizing...hard to beat!

  • Gerry sounding awesome here!

  • simplesmente, maravilhoso!!!!

  • this is one of my faforite america songs.

  • As far as great American music, you can't get leave out America. Good video, good memories!

  • I love this song. One of my daughters has black hair & the other has golden hair, so we call her "sister golden hair."

  • this band really sounds american..cuz they used some sounds of the rythm & blues or folk..this english band inspire other new bands....

  • err. just one of them is english, the others are american

  • ...and the one who is English has an american father and English mother so he's only 1/2 - all were sons of americans in the military so ironically it is a group of Americans that got their start in the UK but called themselves America. :-)

  • The song, "Horse with no name" was penned after one of them came out to Tucson AZ, Davis Monthan AFB.

  • waiting for their concert in cerritos, ca
