  • How do you get that grid thing to pop up on the box?

  • @thenewgeogzm the edges? on the top left of the perspective window it tells you your view and render mode. you need to select edged faces.

  • I am using 3DS MAX 2010, and I can't find the HW section your using on your model... help me please!

  • Thanks Uniform! Very, very, very helpful! I've been struggling modelling a hand for a while now & this has helped no doubt!

  • @TheIntruxion Uniform, but not realistic. This is why I don't do box modeling. It's a much better idea to start out in 2d, and expand from there. Done correctly, also quicker. Ground-up creation can allow a highly realistic model after application of meshsmooth, while maintaining a low poly count. Maybe I oughta upload a quick tutorial.

  • Hi! Nice tutorial! But in 3ds 2011 I haven't Nurbs Toggle in the quad. I try to modify the user interface but it doesn't appear. Where can I find this tool in anothe way? Thanks!

  • brilliant!

  • Hi i dont have edge ring in the menu?!

    pls help

  • If youre working on editable poly should be there, in editable mesh maybe not.

  • ok i did it:D

  • please help! 6:24 i don't have that option...

  • thanks

  • Thank you very much, you do one of the best tutorials for explanation. (y)

  • Uniform, I'cant see some of your options what you have... Like nurms togle or select edge ring, what is this?

  • Nurms Toggle should be there by default in the top left quad. Make sure your object is an editable poly, not editable mesh. Edge Ring option is under "selection" rollout of the modify panel. If you like to add it to the quad menu, look for my head modeling tutorial part 1 and I explained it there how to add this to quad menu.

  • @uniform2007 the edge ring selection isn't in the selection rollout .... i selected the edge but i don't know what to do now ... do i just select every last one of them myself ?? hell noo :D ... please help

  • @uniform2007 I can't find Select Edge Ring~ other ways?

  • @uniform2007 GREAT video... thanks very much, this is just the style i want for my charicters hands

  • @uniform2007 I'm using 2012, edge ring is NOT in the selection roll-out...
