Yeah I would think there would be permits needed for a swimming pool. People will being swimming in it. Also the water pond is not meant for swimming. Its a dang shame heaven forbid this guy can't get money out of the oil company for a permit.. He is just made he can't his hands in the oil companies pocket. That is the real truth here.
geology.com/energy/hydraulic-fracturing-fluids/ - this shows a sampling of the chemicals inside the hydraulic fracturing solution pumped into horizontal gas wells. The solution itself is proprietary information, they don't want you to know, so they tell you it's only sand. But remember, those who agree with making money at the expense of vital resources and the welfare of communities were intentionally under-educated and these companies rely on their ignorance to keep us from solidarity.
are you crazy? lots of people have issues in WV, well water is being ruined, toxic chemicals are being put into the air, people's lives are being ruined, their homes are being ruined, their businesses are being ruined.
Uneducated people who own a video camera and think they know it all. We have been doing this for years in WV and nobody has issues with it like the liberals of PA and NY. Its called sand! That is the only thing left in the well. The chemicals are flowed back to trucks and treated a a plant until it meats EPA standards to be put back in the water source. You might try reading before you open your camera or your mouth.
@pinkpriss The absurd thing is you assumption that you actually know what happen during a frac job. The things that remain in the well are sand, B244 (1.3 gal/thousand), B317 (.3 gal/thousand) and sand. One is a rust inhibitor for the casing and the other is a bio-side that prevents bacteria from closing the fractures while the frac water is still in the well. If any of these are left behind then the concentrations are so small that they could only effect you if were to lick it off the casing.
1 minute ago blah hahahahahahahaha theres nothing you can do we are going to DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL we are oilfield trash wemake you babys get born naked , we make your feet stink, we make your hair turn grey, we make you fat , we make you old , we are all thats bad for america... shit the whole world ....if it was`nt for us oilfield trash everybody would live forever and eve would`nt have eaten the apple with adam
if ya`ll dont wont the oil company`s on your land...... DONT LEASE IT TO THEM!!!!!!!!! and can anyone show me a solid proof video of contamination not a video of someone complaining about what they THINK is wrong . i`m not saying there arent any i just cant find them
cmon fellas, you think a multi milliion dollar operation wouldn't engineer a pond correctly and risk a shut down because they didn't permit a holding basin? you need a permit to put a deck on your house..... hello?
People need to educate themselves before making videos like this
@arlyflow you are either a plant from the industry or one overly trusting ostrich with your head in the sand. Yea, lets take the corporations word for it. YOu must be joking
@arlyflow lets get cameras and start showing up at these nut jobs work places and protest their stupidity.....up with drilling down with stupid camera youtube hippies
No permits needed when big money wants something, this we see in everyday life it is really nothing new. THE GOLDEN RULE- HE WHO HAS THE MOST GOLD MAKES ALL THE RULES.
In my area you have to be buddies with the gas companys in order to get a well drilled or have money this is the way it really works just like politics.
you people must have forgot that with out gas and oil YOU wouldent be here!....theres a reason everybody who is anybody looks the other way, its to expensive to regulate this and WE ALL need gas and oil, so next time you start your car, or or cook something thank yourself for questioning it. your doing some good!!..lol and they frac with sand!...thats your contaminates...
@rwfarrell1498 Wrong... sand is only a portion, do your research - they incorporate flocculates, surfactants, and the water is filled with pesticides to kill any bacteria before being pumped into the well. Not to mention the barium they use to float the cuttings ... the shale layer is also radioactive ... lets see you and your children drink the water after they're done
That's 13 million gallons of water that will now be hopelessly contaminated. Water treatment plants are not equipped to treat these kind of contaminates. Where are all the environmental impact reports?
what I dont understand is why aren't more people searching out this information??? They seem to have blinders on and have a wait and see approach... this is what the see end will be.
i work in the oil and gas industry and you have to approach the companies in your local area. i know numerous companies are giving back to the community. not all companies are bad. everyone just needs to get educated. the resources are there but people don't use them. there are so many oppurtunies in pennslyvania in the oil and gas industry
@thickstrats02 That statement is just laughable! The opportunity for these Pa people that suffer from The Jed Clampett Syndrome is to totally pollute all the natural water sources with all these deadly chemicals and release deadly benzine in the air!

Thank you for this. This is extremely insightful, and easy for the general public to follow. Scary stuff.

That stuff in the water is sand it stays behind leaving gaps that help free gas flow
