That's interesting but honestly I think a coincidence. I'm from WNY and have lived outside Buffalo basically my whole life. The REAL similarity here (with the exception of a few outliers) is the fact that we're all in the Rust Belt where America use to do our own manufacturing. All those jobs left the country decades ago or went down south, and the Great Lakes region has been feeling the rough times ever since
