That is ravens stadium all the seats were taken and the field was full of people i would say there was 90,000 to 100,000 people there that day and night. It was July 4th 103 degrees out and humid as fuck and this was med to near end of the show that may be why you don't see much crowd movement. Believe me when i when i say the crowd was loud and into the show. Why would all of those people pay to see metallica and not sing to the songs that is just dumb to assume no one was.

There probably aren't any microphones in the crowd, and it'd a direct recording from the PA system. Meaning the only crowd noise would only be picked up by the instrument mics near the amps or (more likely) by the vocalist mics. Still, not a lot will be picked up.
