this gave me the chills.... merci ... merci..... merci.......... it took me back to when i was on the streets of tehran..... when i heard about neda that night and i ran back to the streets the next day........ than u so much..........
Do not be decieved people this guy sings about freedom here but has praised the dictator shah in other songs. Listen to a Real Iranian Rapper rapping in Farsi by searching for Erfan , song titled Tasmim. Erfan actually understands Iran and has meaningful words to say instead of this cliche song.
Actually his other song you refer to Sar Zamin, doesn't praise the shah at all...It is only a longing to return back to a home that he was separated from, and uses clips to illustrate that point but never praises the shah in the least. The streets know real shit when they hear it...don't taint the relevance of good work by trying to put out a commercial. p.s. there isn't a SINGLE cliche in this song...
Instead of trying to differentiate and separate it would do you good to make an effort to unite. Our brothers and sisters back home will not benefit from any of this negative talk. When it comes to words that uplift the message is what is what is important, it makes no sense to discredit this mans work because of what language it was performed in.
As for Erfan he is a great artist in his own right, perhaps instead of trying to promote separation, bring this two together and allow them to create
This brought me to tears. The cloth reps that yo- out with the old ideologies but I can still rock my motherlands threads if I so choose, as ironic as it seems. This Video and song gets a 10. Hats off ,for hands down the most touching piece of 09. I would do anything to see this live so please keep me on the email list for tickets and upcoming show invites. MUCH LOVE TO THE POET, AND THE WHOLE IRANEE FAM. And a special shot out to my sand ninja General Weapon X holding it down too.
and their movement for freedom, we love you all we thank you. We are looking for the day when we Iranians can live at peace with all other nations including Americans & Israeli people, Arabs &....
You guys have done a great job once again. This song touched my heart. I'm saddened by everything that has happened the last couple of weeks. I think its great that you sing about this courageous girl Neda who lost her life for freedom:(
Good job BUT that "Chafie" makes no sense at all. Contradictory. You guy wear like "Lebas Shakhsi". People in Iran, hate that kind of scarf on your head.
I think they're trying to symbolize the different causes people hide behind and "cover things up with"...that's what I got from it...so it actually fit and wasn't contradictory at all (if that was the deeper meaning, I guess)...pretty rich in symbolism throughout, I keep picking something subtle up every time I watch it...
..... The beauty that Neda portrayed is the beauty of the country who has been hidden under this dark blanket known as NOT Iran but the Islamic Republic. To the producers and writers of this music, thank you for appreciating what is going on in Iran.
Furthermore I would just like to bring to the attention of those who watch this video. This is a message of unity and a display of solidarity, something that many of our esteemed high profile figures in the Iranian community along with a portion of today's Iranian youth have not come forward and shown. We need to follow this example and do whatever we can and provide support, recognizing each others contributions rather than nitpicking at things such as the an artists attire in a video. UNITE!
In my humble opinion this was a very heartfelt and touching video that has done what few of the many videos and songs various other artists have made in regards to the situation currently going on in Iran. It is a depiction of a common feeling the Iranian native and diaspora shares and it delves deeper than the common cover songs or support songs many other musical artists in the Iranian community have created. In that respect the artists involved with this video created a powerful piece.

First of all, you dumb ignorant F----!, the comparison you make is wholly invalid...the multiple scarfs representing the various tribes (be they arabic or any other ethnicity) are obviously a symbolic call for unity and peace in the world between the different factions much bigger, informed and relevant for the narrow type of mentality you cling to. Furthermore the "felistini" which you speak of are known for the "black and white" checkers which he is NOT even wearing.
Their is always 1 person stuck on the primitive, separating factors like race, religion, dogma, missing the entire point of the piece. It pisses me off when people like you completely miss what was the obvious intention of whoever did this piece. And what better way to take the steam out hateful symbols than change their connotation entirely. Great job to whoever did this for not only voicing a powerful message but going one step further!! Don't even waste your time with dip shits like this
