  • @FAKEmusicPRO The MPD 32 does not come with ableton. You have to buy ableton seperately.

  • If i buy this on amazon (amazon being the seller) will it come with ableton still?

  • ProTools, can I hook this into Protools?

  • @Militia7 Yes.

  • @JRRShop Yeah? How? Been googleing it they came up empty... Is there a tutorial or a link you have that shows how to do this? Would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  • @JRRShop How?

  • @BlueThunderPower im going thur the same thing... i have my mpd32 hook up thur usb....im thinkin i need to have the midi cables hookd up to the interface for it to link tempo with reason 5.0 .... i dont have a interface right now other wise id try it... if u have on its worth a shot.... gl let me know if u try this n if it works...

  • They should get Nosaj Thing to promote it..............

  • I heard you get a sound delay when hitting a pad if you're connected trough the usb cable? is this true?

  • @teunv111 Any delay is caused by your computer's audio interface, not the MPD32. You should either be using a good low latency interface or the free asio4all driver with a more generic interface.

  • @JRRShop thanks

  • can you hook it to an amplifier or does the sound come out of your laptop..?

  • @TheWardjanssen The sound will come out of your laptop. The MPD32 is a midi controller only and doesn't have an audio interface built-in. The Native Instruments Maschine has an interface built-in.

  • where can i get it ?

  • @fabiobesdatapada You can get it at jrrshop for 10% off by entering the 'youtube' coupon code.

  • so can you hook it up to a computer that has pro tools running and use it as a controller for making beats on pro tools?

  • @snubbs741 Yes.

  • do u need to plug it into a computer to use it or like can u make dubstep with it?

  • @chickenwrap3000 I don't understand what you mean, you can make ANY type of music you want with it, be it dubstep, dnb, hip hop, electro etc. Yeah, you do have to plug it into the computer to use it. Did you watch the video at all?

  • @chickenwrap3000 You can make dubstep with it but it does have to be plugged in to a computer.

  • @chickenwrap3000

the fact kids as dumb as you are trying to make dubstep is why everyone who knows what's up is getting sick of dubstep

  • MPD, Motif, Logic 8 Express. Have no idea how to sync midi from Motif thruMPD into Logic. I can start sequence from Motif but it is not on time.(slightly behind) WTF?

  • @Chavez08able You should sync your Motif to the computer, not the other way around.

  • they should sponsor araabmuzik, youtube him

  • i have a m-audio oxygen 49 v2 how can i use the mpd and the m-audio together with reason 4

  • what's with the pads? the timing is soooo off when i record on my fl studios. and the pads are so fucking hard to push. way harder than an mpc. wtf guys?

  • @thizzboy99 The timing is caused by your soundcard, you need to have one with quality low latency ASIO drivers in order to get good timing in FL. You can adjust the MPD32's velocity curve to better match FL, that way you won't have to push the pads so hard. The MPD responds exactly like an MPC in Cubase and Ableton.

  • Hello . can u tell me how to sort out pads 13,14 to loop my melody???/thanks

  • ok well i just plugged in my mpd32 and the light is not on

  • The light should come on immediately. You may have received a defective unit. Did you purchase it from us?

  • i just got a mpd32. but im wondering how i get the sound working. besides the mpd32, what else do i have to puchase to get sound. or could i just hook it up to my PC speakers?

  • The MPD32 is a USB controller so you'll need a computer and some type of software instrument to get anything out of it.

  • ya i have a pc computer and ableton live lite 6. but i dont know how to get the sound to work using a USB cord.

  • @MrHladysh there are no sounds inside the 32.... lol it's just a controller

  • breaks down like this, MPD32 only produces sound WITH some sort of software open, if its on your computer and not open it wont make any sound, if you have ableton thats all you need, then the speakers through your computer will produce the sound from the MPD, however, dont use that long it will annoy you may i suggest getting something better like a peavey escort 2000, cheaper and smaller but MUCH more sound for ya!

  • I am looking at this and the Korg PadKontrol... their x-y pad just looks so sick... any thoughts about the two products???

  • The PadKontrol X-Y pad is pretty cool for creating interesting flam effects but you can create similar effects with the MPD32's Note Repeat. Also, remember that nearly everything on the MPD32 is an assignable midi controller, including many of the buttons, so you really have a lot more control with it. All that said, the MPD32 is generally better for people doing hip hop and electronic music while the PadKontrol is generally better for people trying to simulate a live drummer.

  • thanks appreciate the feedback, I am just starting out with all this, and after reading some comments about the Akai pads sensitivity opted for the Korg, which plays into what you have said as I am a drummer looking to get into the electronic side of things.. once again thanks.

  • @Fraeg Congrats! Enjoy it! The MPD32 pads are excellent, every bit as good as the ones on the MPC's and much better than the ones that were on the original MPD16, but you can't go wrong with the PadKontrol pads, either.

  • cheers, take care

  • lol more like worst beat producer @ end of vid!

  • i buyed today my mpd32... awesome

  • wtf they should hire Equalibeats (check him out... his mpd24/32 looping and management skillz are sick!)

  • worst product specialist ever

  • "worst product specialist ever" ? how? i thought the video was good, he explains the functions and operation of the MPD very well. you just sound like a simple ass fool, you should explain yourself if you're going post a comment.

  • Im going to get one soon, Computers sequencing is taking over Akai did a nice job on this one..Thanks for the review

  • hahahaha fuck you, you dumbass

  • ahah thats hilarious. you are an idiot.
