The amount of luck dwan has is unbelievable. I watch all those poker shows and that's abnormal how does he collect those gutshots, 2 outers etc. and gets paid of by second best hand. I agree he is a top cash game player and the most spectacular bluffer out there, and I agree players like him eventually get paid off called by Ace high, but these cooler hands... its just too many for one guy.

i think the fold from ivey right around the end with the 85s was really really smart. as the commentators analysed right (yeah i cant believe it neither) ivey had no fold equity so he basically had to risk 54k to win round 72k so with his 41% equity the EV for this play would be just around 0. but considering ziigmund or petten couldve also had a better flush draw which would have ivey in terrible shape it was a good fold. at first this looks like a really strange play but as i said, its a good1

Fucking commentators, I hate them. We need Gabe Kaplan. I don't need these guys narrating what they assume is going on in the heads of the players. They are always wrong. "Oh, Tom Dwan is gonna bet ~17k, that's about all he can get paid off!" as Tom bets 26k and gets paid off.

0:48:20 Why did patrik ask who's showdown it was. Am i not right in understanding that on the river if it goes check/check then the first person to act show's their hand and so forth. unless someone else shows to claim the pot and then you/everyone else can muck if you dont win or want to show, unless someone then request's to see your hand. Or is it that the last person to bet in the hand, is the 'claimant' to the hand..and therefore would need to claim on the showdown or concede..?

not technically a breach in etiquette as there were a number of draws that got there. A5 was a good holding but not nearly the nuts and Patrik was quite within his rights to get the info he paid for in the previous two streets.

It's crazy how bad these announcers are. They probably couldn't beat a 5/10 game. And they're expected to shed light on dwan, ziggy, and ivey's playing style. They don't have a clue.

@supat1979 Chris plays tournaments, it's not about if they want or not to play him, they must do so. Ferguson certainly doesn't worry about "Poker etiquette", he doesn't have to (And that's why he is a poker pro).

for lew, its not just because of the possible boat. why would u go all in, most of the time u won't get paid unless he has a monster, so u bet for value, go all in and get nothing or bet for value and get paid as much as u think u can get. and it also leaves him fold equity just in case he gets popped for a reraise. so if antonius does have it and dwan can make a big lay down because he is not pot committed to call

@mhhhon it's not real money, some of these players make hardly 100K in a year, no way they can afford to lose that in a poker game.
Jetten isn't really a winning player, Matusow is broke, Illari is good in PLO but very mediocre in hold'em, they say Justin Smith is good but a top player ? And have you seen Antonius' tournament results the last few years ?
Maybe 100K in chips on the table is $10K in real money, but no way it's straight 1:1
