love the bike and what you have done. have just purchased a CX500 in a million pieces, me and a mate in process of sorting, cleaning, and assembling for breakdown paint reassemble etc. It looks remarkably like yours with what the previous owner has done (paint and rear solo seat primarily, almost identical!). think it is pre 1980 as it only has the single disc/caliper setup? What method did you use for polishing the rocker covers? Cheers, Geoff Perth AUS
not bad but to make a cx really shift put a 650 engine in the older lighter frame , hold on tight and change the front brake !!!! mine clocked at 125 mph and wheelies like crazy in 2 nd !! oh i used a gpz 750 front end and lowered the back end by 1 and half inches ! really handles well , ps your cam chain sounds loose !!!!
how did you do your exaust?

Awesome, was looking in to doing the same but using a honda twin disk with comstar wheels so they would match. Keep up the good work mate!

its a gsxr 750 front end from a 1985 bike bolts straight in same bearing size .just get rid of the bump stop but don't dent the tank! everything
knot4real 2 years ago
That's so cool. I had one years ago. Loved it to bits. Always thought it would look cool with that big tank.
Does it still squirm over the white line on the motorway?
daveslev 3 years ago
not to bad with the front end off the gsxr now
