How about a SPOT? Personal distress satellite beacon can be a lifesaver as long as rescue services are available. I would try to find a water proof steel container for the kit. Even a food (maybe like a short squat stew or beef can) can cut open with one of those new can openers that don't leave a sharp edge, and a plastic lid. This would give you a place to boil water or cook a little easier. Agree also that water tablets should be kept in original sealed packaging. Can you add a poncho?
@fastacker2 Idk, I guess it's suppose to be light a simple. Anymore stuff and might as well just make a bug out bag with food, good shelter, gun and ammo. lol
yours is pretty cool, but I didn't see much for first-aid (cotton balls, needle/thread duck tape and salt?) other than that looked pretty good for an average person to take.
You're going to probably have to throw away those water purification tablets. You put them in the same bag as the iodine taste neutralizer which compromises the ability of the iodine tablets to actually purify your water. You should keep them in their respective brown bottles because they are also sensitive to light. Chlorine bleach can also purify water and doesn't taste as bad as iodine if used properly but can leak and ruin clothing so store it carefully.
That's a pretty good survival kit you've got there. There's a lot of things you could make use of if you were stranded in less than ideal circumstances. Great vid 5 stars
hey, thanks for the comment! I like my cords like this because they're outside the tin which gives me more room for other things and double as a bag for it. I think will take out the filters and add a bandanna. What do you mean by 2 strikers? I put in the duct tape for band aid purposes. I need to find a flat whistle. I don't have any metallic lures. I'll wax my matches, I just seen a video about that.
Nice

The other thing about the water purification tabs is you have to be careful what temperature they are stored at, the same with chlorine bleach.

Hmm. didn't think about that. what temperature is good?
littlegreenwon 1 year ago
It's dependent on the brand. Look at the original packaging.

Your striker is sufficent, i wanted to mean than you have some place to add another striker; fit it in a zip bag to prevent moisture.

I know you'll have some storage for many things. I'll stay tuned for your next video ;)

Take off the magnyfing glasses
Half salt.
Half worms+mettalic leurre
Add some tine small hook (fishes, brids, small animals)
Take off thread, use 2 size of safety pins
5 more matches waxed to prevent moisture
I'd prefer a strong survival blanket, take off the coffee filters (bandanna, first filtering before adding tabs ;)).
1 zip bag is sufficent.
I recommand some medical stuff: band aid, suture band aid, antiseptic gazes, pain killer, a whistle, a compass...

Hi,
I'll write some comments in several steps because i'm limited by characters.
Nice camera ;)
Ok, what i'll do if i had this kit.
Cords not as this but nice rolled, you'll save energy and prevent stress to deploy them.
You can use a bandanna outside (multi purpose), take a look on Furoshiki for carry it.
Seems twice as the altoids tin, nice but you're already notice than you can remove the alu foil if you'll have a better box
2 strikers, tape completly rother side to prevent moisture
