what a thoroughly awesome video, you blended the pictures of the "ruins" so seamlessly perfect with the ones from its heyday. were you ever able to get the pictures from the architectural digest? I would love to see them! thank you so much for sharing your amazing video!
I love the Roberts Ranch. It looks like it was such a beautiful place. It's my favourite place to go hiking. I wish I could find more pictures of the original. Simply gorgeous!!! Thanks for the video!!
Perhaps my grandfather's greatest achievement in his remarkable life was obtaining the water rights to the year around Solstice Creek within Roberts Ranch. Without his insight and persistence in canyon he so loved the creek would have been lost to the residents’ wells that surrounded the canyon.
Thank you for the response and info. I look forward to the Architectural Digest issue number in order to try and track down an issue to copy more pictures. I have a scanner If you live close, or ever come this way to visit Solstice, let me know. I would love to have more pictures to copy of the various landscape and house scenes in order to add more scenes of them to the video by doing a slow fade like I did with the only 2 photos I could find. Thanks again, fulltime5er
@fulltime5er If you ever got the copy of Architectural Digest with the Robert's Mansion, would you scan the photos up? I am a big fan of old architectural buildings and such and I would love to see more photos of how the house looked before it burned. Thanks for the photos you put up.
Hi, Just found your reply to the Solstice Canyon video that you posted 7 mos. ago.
I would like to get in contact with you as we are distant cousins! I live in MN and we visited the canyon last spring. I too would like to track down the AD issue about the house. I have the original 8x10s that I think were taken for that issue. I would love to connect with you to get more family history about them...
Hi, I just noticed your reply to Independent44. Would it be possible/willing for you to scan those pictures into a jpeg file and send them to me to add to the Solstice Canyon video. I haven't been able to track down that Architectural Digest Issue
Thanks for sharing. I just hiked this last weekend and wanted to learn more about the Robert's house. Your video popped up and it answered a lot of questions. I love how you named all the flowers. There's a rebirth going on from the fire and the flowers are blooming everywhere. Well done!
Great Video! We had the pleasure of meeting you yesterday in this lovely place. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and your love of the story. As you can see, I found the video, and I enjoyed it very much!

Solstice Canyon is truly an amazing place.
Fred and Florence Roberts are my great grandparents.

I will get you that issue number of the Architectural Digest in the next couple of days.
We also have tons of photos, but unfortunately we do not posses a scanner. :[
