wow, that was awesome. kick ass guys. i too sent on some goose chase about another band by this name. never heard of them actually. but you guys rock. great vocals, a soulful style of the late great jj. good luck out there!
The guitar player doesn't know he can't play that kind of music whithout long hair: seventies rock music has his rules (and he doesnt make the reglementary guitar-hero solo before the last chorus: bad taste).
I was actually searching for the UK 70s Hard Rock Band by the same name. Have to admit though, she has a good voice - Kinda like a mix of Joplin and Maggie Bell of Stone the Crowes
I was actually searching for The Jody Grind from Atlanta, with the lovely and talented Kelly Hogan as lead singer. How long has this band been using Jody Grind as a name?
AS1, you guys are looking and sounding good. Outstanding song. Janice Joplin like with a pipe organ sound to the mix. Gonna have to come down to see you in cambridge.
Hard to believe I'm the first one to post a comment.
Excellent new song! The band sounds really punchy on this recording. The overall mix is decent & Sara is way hot! I can hear a bit of Lucinda Williams' (one of my favorites) influence in there too. You should smile more though.
