freakin 8 mile...hated that place...i was there too charlie co cobras strike first!! haha gay...i was in river jacks platoon. bay 1-4, graduated march 19th. now im deployed ALREADY ha.
I have to do my Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course (MIOBC) there. I was hoping I could get some G-2 from this clip. Guess I should try an official military source for that, eh?
I would try to help you buddy but I took the course a few yrs ago; 24 yrs ago! Sorry. I know it's beautiful there so make sure you enjoy yourself. (I did not.) I'm from the south and it was all so different. I didn't get away on weekends and lived in the BOQ next to the O Club (don't know if either are still there now). Should have lived off post. Bisbee, Tombstone are great. Mexico was risky even when I was there - I wouldn't go. Beware the rabid skunks (no kidding) on field exercises.
FYI... its because we aren't officially a part of a unit until you recieve orders for your first duty station or you get to your home unit... this is not at our first duty station its AIT!!!!
I know what Advanced Individual Trining is, and I also know that you arent supposed to wear berets on until you reach your first duty station. Garrison and assault caps are all you are authorized to wear. Believe me on this, I started my military career at Ft. Benning. Where the Army's finest soldiers are made.
Opposed to when you may have gone through AIT we got our berets when we graduated BCT and then wore it all through AIT we only wore our crest if we already had orders for a unit and our unit had sent them to us. Same goes for the unit patch. P.S. different places are run differently.. the beret was the only authorized head gear except for days when we would do Warrior Task Training (that is what they called it).
you are in garrison durring AIT...its different at benning because with combat MOSs your not going to be doing the same thing during AIT as support MOSs...and when you where your beret you ARE in garrison...you where your PC in the field
@xdfhdfjn IET Soldiers are authorized to wear the beret upon completion of basic training, at the discretion of the unit commander in charge of the AIT unit. Thanks for playing the regs game...you lost

Why are you all wearing berets without your unit flash or unit patches. You all look like a bunch of PX Rangers.

you obviously don't know what it means to be in AIT or just retarded
