  • @DzyNaa - Sounds like the issue may be with the ISP. Send an email to michaelb at geeks dot com and I'll ask around to further look into for you.

    Geeks

  • @DzyNaa It shouldn't make it any faster unless you are using an extremely crappy router. Try plugging the ethernet cable directly into your console instead of using wireless if your not already, you will definitely see a performance increase. Try running speedtest, if you are getting under about 1mbps download and 512kbps upload... then you absolutely need to upgrade your internet. You should be looking for around 5mbps download and 1mbps upload though.

  • @DzyNaa lol

  • If the usb on the back of the device is capable to connect to a usb hub,you can do a lot more with it.......

  • Yes game fuel is the same as QoS Stream Engine or whatever they call it. My older D-Link router was the DIR-635 and also has QoS Stream Engine but it lacks dual band and Gigabuit ports. My current router is the D-Link DIR-855 and that is one hell of a router. It's fairly the same as this gaming router the DGL-4500. It is just a different color it is black and white and also has the same oled screen. I highly recommend this DGL-4500 and the DIR-855 to anyone...

  • I didn't understand anything you just said, I just want to know if I'll get host in public matches.

  • OK nothing gonna fix your ISP crudy internet,, but this router is the best in 100+$ range mainly because most of its bugs have been worked out if you get newest firmware. Game fuel is a gimmick version of QoS on other routers but definitely a plus with multiple new age game systems trying to hog bandwidth. It basically controls the uplink speed so as not to have UpnP dictate what needs what. this router is bang for the buck and lasts for a long time.

  • what if you have a shitty connection to begin with, with this router help at all?

  • @lampman67 yea if theres like 3 comps on the internet and u playing cod on your xbox or ps3 the router will take all the speed and put it into your xbox or ps3

  • @lampman67 very well said there and the answer is no it will not help

  • @lampman67 nope

  • Can anybody tell me if a belkin is good?

  • @MrWoofyioi it below average but not bad it is value for money

  • @robbiegreen95 so whats a good router?, i am trying to buy a good router for my Xbox live account

  • @robbiegreen95 so whats a good router?, im looking one for my Xbox live account

  • @MrWoofyioi hell no BELKIN is wack

  • So do u guys recommend this router or the Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700 Dual Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router

  • the only way to really game is through a wire not a signal i'm sorry i'll stick with the 4100

  • Comment removed

  • @bronxrunner9 Uhm, you realize you still get the ports on this one right? lol...

  • Hey bro.. Can you do me a favor?

Can u list me the specs of the power cord of that router?

Coz i might purchase the router on the net, but i have doubts about the power cord as some cords works in some countries only.. thx. Im from Malaysia btw.

    thx in advance..

  • nice and funny review, thumbs up

  • If I setup a bridge connection from one wired router to the wireless router will I have to setup both router configurations or just through my wireless router?. Anyonw know please, I am receiving the router today and I am clueless with wireless hook up. Anything important to know about the DGL 4500 before I hook it up?. Please help me out, I will deeply appreciate the help, I am dumb when it comes to wireless setup.

  • USE a MIC.. not the built in camera mic.. duh!

  • does this lag with peopleon the internet or does it give the people on the games online faster play and the people on msn and myspace and internet browsing smaller speeds? aslo can you plug a dongle/ usb that has all your internet gigs into the back of this and play online with it?

  • the radom reset under full load is still happening?
