@Proudnewfoundlander1 This was obviously recorded for a television program, judging by all the different camera angles, so the bass was probably added after the fact, or maybe a studio musician was playing off-camera?? Regardless, a great video of some true pioneers of Irish-Newfoundland music.
My all-time favorite - Dermot was an awesome talent,a true people person and I miss his friendship very much(especially when I head downtown for a fix of traditional music)-jimmy r.
