BF3 is great the maps are huge theirs a lot of strategy involved and i can blow what ever building i want into a pile of rubble. and helicopters and tanks are fun to drive and not every one runs around with a god damn shotgun reloading with the speed of god going a thousand miles an hour. oh and don't forget the terrible servers Cod has that they get out of their lucky charms cereal boxes that come with the EXREME lag during a game. nuf said
You guys want the truth? Both these games suck. But they are shoved down the publics throat. CoD is so noob friendly it's not even funny. BF3 is an absolute joke and sucks just as much dick as CoD. Needless to say I bought both, ended up returning BF3 within a couple of days because IMO it was horrible. I feel bad for everyone who didn't get to play a REAL GAME called Socom 2.

i think MW3 maps are just way to small even MW2 the maps wheren't just running around corners, i loved MW2 and i was hoping it would be like it but its just to all corners. BF is nice but they cant decide if they wanted realism or arcade. To be honest i don't really like either game... both are disapointments
I dont think the hate one the COD videos come from BF fans, i think its from gamers in general. COD is basically a MW2 re-release. and i dont think a lot of people are happy with that idea

Obviously COD players, like myself have absolutely NO patience, I can honestly say, but I've bought BF3, whenever I die, I rage like a kid, this is because the games are totally different, I'm adjusting, I've found BF3 to be alot calmer, the sniping is calm, wait, wait for your enemy to pop out then BOOM. No running into a 1v6 and get a clutch with a 21309123 degrees kill with a claymore fakey, I've found COD to be amazingly unrealistic, and stupid, its a game for kids BF is for men with freinds
What I hate about battlefield 3 players ranting against cod players is that they call us tryhards, claiming the only achievement cod players are satisfied with is their KDs. I personally use my KD to give me a base of how well I played in a certain game, there's so much more to cod if you play the objective games how they're meant to be - not just using demolition for tight spawn trapping, etc. BF3 is amazing, i love it, it's always good to have a mix, but i'll always be a cod fanboy.
(battlefield 3 player)For my personal liking I love playing as a team.Team play/squad play is a lot more satisfying then a single player play.Sure I can be a tank and kill everyone by myself in cod but the problem is I lose the satisfaction fast.I can kill 25/1 kill death ratio but it gets old and I feel alone and sort of unwanted in the gaming world because im a tank.It loses its taste after awhile(maybe 2 or 3 games) Battlefield has a team effort and having a team cheer over ones self is fun.
Looking at the trailers of mw3 i can't really see the difference form mw2.. and mw2 was pretty much a arcade game that lots of those high pitched voices from 12 year old trolls enjoy playing.. In battle field most of that sort of player get bored of the game since you have to work and strategize.. Im not saying that 12 year olds have not played the game.. But the ones i have heard are mature and play the game like every one else. Battle field is comparable to chess so i can relate and have fun.
I don't think people don't like COD its just that some gamers me and my friends included don't think that MW3 shouldn't have happened. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love BO, but just not MW3. BF3 is more suited to me and my friends, who love co-op games kind of like BF3.

It's more about skills and strategy where cod is more about connection strength and perks. Plus the maps in BF3 are so big that map packs aren't really needed because each specific match has a different outcome from the last, it keeps the game fun and entertaining and keeps you on your toes because you never know where the enemy can be. Plus there isn't any fucking rad
I don't have any bf games but I have mw2 and bo and I am sick of cod. The game goes stale after about a week. I will not be getting mw3 but I will be getting bf3 but I doubt that it wont take long before it is unappealing. FPs games get boring very quickly unless there's a interesting objective. Capture the flag and domination are not interesting.
I don't see why so many people say that cod is just the same thing every game. I'm not a fanboy, but I'm just saying they take the most basic principles: perks, killstreaks, all that good crap, and they change most of the stuff in it, keep the stuff people like the most, and usually add a several new big things outside of that.

@tehsmarty It's machinima it will always happen when kids find something new they like, they throw away the old toy but will always have a love for that old toy. Much like CoD and Battlefield. Maybe you didn't do it for ratings but the game war and console war are ratings magnets.
I prefer Battlefield 3 because you can actually drive vehicles in it, as opposed to Call of Duty. As someone coming over from Halo, this was a crucial factor for me.
I like both the BF and COD games. It all comes down to what play style you prefer. If i want to run around a map and mow down enemies to try and get the best K/D ratio and unleash hell with kill streak bonuses I'll pop in COD. If I want to play more strategically and carefully wile working with my team towards a common goal I'll play Battlefield. Like I said personal preference and play style. Just because its a shooter doesn't mean all should be treated the same.
Ive been playing the Battlefield games since BF 1942, and can still enjoy BF2 to this day. Call of Duty games give me a good few months consistently and then I'm done with the game.
Just how it is for me personally, I love the pace of Battlefield.

Maybe most of the dislikes have little to do with BF3, and alot to do with the fact that they release the same game every year and never fix any of the issues until the next installment.

I prefer Battlefield because not being my first FPS, I was bored, and my brother let me go on his game, my first Online FPS Battlefield 2142, so you can imagine, I'm going for Halo CE and Halo 2 offline to this game, with great graphics (For it's time) walkers, jets APC's and tanks, and I didn't have XBL so now I'm playing with 63 other players at a time. So you can imagine how it would have been for me, so much so it lasted for 2 years. That's why I prefer Battlefield.
Im just tired of call of duty. It just feels like the same game. Every year. Ive been playing bf3 and Im loving it. I have mw3 payed off so im getting it release day. I kno ill have fun with it but just not as much as I hav with previous cod games.

Also, one more reason why I'm loving BF3. In BF3, I get frustrated simply because I die from being outplayed by another player. I can make an adjustment to avoid getting killed again. In COD, I get frustrated because of how the game was made. (they include noobtubes, panic knife, commando pro, OMA, lag with 3-bars, second chance, 360noscopingYYoffaladderbullshitkill, etc.) And again, I am a COD player. I didn't like BFBC2, but I'm loving BF3. So, don't think I'm some kind of BF3 fanboy.
I played COD first with MW2 then BO, but I've come to love BF3. When playing COD, I can get top score w/o even trying. But in BF3, I HAVE to strategize with my friends because it's all about team tactics. I love that about this game. One friend told me that he doesn't like BF3 because he has no patience for team play. And I think that's why so many COD players don't like BF3. There's nothing bad about the game, it just doesn't fit their play style and don't want to make the adjustment.
@siempreawesome why does everyone think battlefield takes more teamwork or strategy to win then call of duty? look at call of duty xp and see team optic! in mw3 optic used strategy and tactics very much so than the average battlefield player. i use a mic and i communicate with 9 of my friends when we play call of duty and we constantly communicate. bf3 you can only talk to 4 people at a time such as the members in your squad. less communication=less strategy! less comunication=less coordination
@MrTargettarget First, in COD I can jump into a game by myself, own the other team, earn killstreaks, and use my ac130/dogs/nuke to win the game. In BF3 if I jump into the game by myself, I have to work with my squad to win. Second, In COD I know where my enemies are because they appear on my map when they shoot their gun. In bf3, I know where my enemies are because my TEAMMATES 'spot' them for everyone to see. Finally, COD players are all about KD ratio while BF3 players are all about PTFO.
I do prefer BF as its much more fun to me as its team based etc. However I do play COD with my friends as thats the only game they play and there not so much of a gamer as I am :3. Anyway I am sick to death of all these pro- BF3 comments where people constantly say the same stuff "COD is copy and paste" Blah Blah Blah. Anyway I respect other people's choice of game and I will be getting both on Christmas. Both will be great games and I applaud the dev's for taking their time with both the games.

Here is the major difference! Cod focuses on Run and Gun while BF3 focuses on Squad Teamwork...if you run and gun in any Battlefield...you wont last long at all...personally early cod wasn't that bad...COD4 was great...WAW was great...after those two...ehh...lost interest...
I like COD because it is much more fluid and better movement, if Battlefield 3 could run at 60fps and not 30 or below it would probably improve it so much more.

i like BF3 more because when i get killed i feel either i did something wrong or the other guy did something better. Im CoD i almost never felt that, i consider myself a better than average player and can admit when i legitimately get killed, but usually it was because they had some perk, or a gun that had no recoil, or i spawn into dogs/chopper gunner and there is no way out
i think its because most of us that play BF are ex CoD people that got sick of all the shit. and alot of CoD people (i admit i was this guy) say CoD is amazing because they hear it from other people and havent played many games at all. Personally I prefer battlefield because, though it is much, much harder to master, in the long run it is more gratifying. When I win a Battlefield match, everyone on my team is like, good job guys, and everyone on the other team is discussing how to win the next. In CoD everyone is like, MY MASTER QUICKSCOPEZ WON DA GAME DERP and when they lose they blame it on someone else. When you lose a match in BF2, you realize that the opposing team had outclassed you and you want to win next time...
it really annoys me when people say that COD and BF are 2 completely different games because they are both triple A FPS games, why not compare them, compare Age of Empires to starcraft, starcraft has robots, 2 differnt games, i mean honestly get it right, (i know nothing of starcraft, i used it as a comparision)

The objective of both games, but in BF more apparent, is to WIN a match - NOT get killstreak rewards. Therefor skill is not the ability to get killstreaks, but the ability to perform will within the game's parameters. In BF the emphasis is on team play to win, something that takes way more skill than running around and shooting everything that moves and isn't highlighted in green.
BF3 takes more skill: choppers are very hard to fly, enemies are harder to spot, gun handling is harder, basic movement is slower and to win a match you actually NEED to work together.
CoD: Run around and shoot things. If you react quicker, or even more important, your ping is lower, you will win a confrontation.
BF3 is harder than CoD. This is actually the main reason it's less popular.
Also, skill is NOT the ability to get killstreak rewards.

See, I play both CoD and Battlefield, and I know a lot of people who "love" CoD only don't like Battlefield because they can't carry their team through Rush or whatnot. And I know a lot of die hard Battlefielders don't like CoD because it's a twitch shooter, while Battlefield takes patience. Honestly, I don't care, I play Battlefield when I want to actually think about playing, and I play CoD when I just want mind numbing autopilot.

I perfer MW3. Its simply more fun, faster frame rate, and is more responsive. CoD is getting shit for lack of change in MW3 is completle and utter garbage. The game play is getting restructured as much as it can while still being CoD ,Battlefeild got a new engine. The gameplays the same, they havent or added anything beyond that. I still like BF but I perfer a game that values gameplay and feel over looks and sound. As for people bitching about dedicated servers it would cost too much money.

I'm the opposite. I appreciate and am patient and know the timer is there to promote a more careful, mature approach as opposed to the ADD-mania in COD. COD is way too easy to play and the gameplay is braindead. I laugh at the no recoil "proficiencies" in MW3 and how they have lowered the bar for that game to the lowest common denominator. I used to love COD, and thought COD4 was fantastic, but the series has gone to the shitter. No dedicated servers is also inexcusable.
i like this video, seems very fair and even based, but i just want to point out battlefeild can be slow but it can also be very very fast, snipers can run out and be dumb like in cod, i do it in both games, it is harder in battlefeild obviously but its still very fast paced game and there are a lot of crazy things that can happen in battlefeild with destructability and vehicles that you just dont get in cod. still both good games and i enjoy both
People fail to realize there's strategy and tactical play in CoD's objective modes. If you run with a team you can come up with strategies to do well in Domination. I like how you have to earn you choppers instead of seeing who clearly don't PTFO run for the tanks and kill whore. But that happens in both games so to each his own
I prefer COD because was my first online game. I dont like battlefield, not because of the gameplay, but because of the advertising. I agree that both games are completely different. But battlefield is pushing so hard to be a cod killer, which it is not. even the games slogan, "above and beyond the CALL". So I will not be buying BF3 until months after MW3, just to contribute to the overwhelming #'s that will show that COD is vastly more popular.

I don't have any bf games but I have mw2 and bo and I am sick of cod. The game goes stale after about a week. I will not be getting mw3 but I will be getting bf3 but I doubt that it wont take long before it is unappealing. FPs games get boring very quickly unless there's a interesting objective. Capture the flag and domination are not interesting.

I don't see why so many people say that cod is just the same thing every game. I'm not a fanboy, but I'm just saying they take the most basic principles: perks, killstreaks, all that good crap, and they change most of the stuff in it, keep the stuff people like the most, and usually add a several new big things outside of that.

I prefer Battlefield 3 because you can actually drive vehicles in it, as opposed to Call of Duty. As someone coming over from Halo, this was a crucial factor for me.

I like both the BF and COD games. It all comes down to what play style you prefer. If i want to run around a map and mow down enemies to try and get the best K/D ratio and unleash hell with kill streak bonuses I'll pop in COD. If I want to play more strategically and carefully wile working with my team towards a common goal I'll play Battlefield. Like I said personal preference and play style. Just because its a shooter doesn't mean all should be treated the same.

Ive been playing the Battlefield games since BF 1942, and can still enjoy BF2 to this day. Call of Duty games give me a good few months consistently and then I'm done with the game.

I prefer Battlefield because not being my first FPS, I was bored, and my brother let me go on his game, my first Online FPS Battlefield 2142, so you can imagine, I'm going for Halo CE and Halo 2 offline to this game, with great graphics (For it's time) walkers, jets APC's and tanks, and I didn't have XBL so now I'm playing with 63 other players at a time. So you can imagine how it would have been for me, so much so it lasted for 2 years. That's why I prefer Battlefield.

Also, one more reason why I'm loving BF3. In BF3, I get frustrated simply because I die from being outplayed by another player. I can make an adjustment to avoid getting killed again. In COD, I get frustrated because of how the game was made. (they include noobtubes, panic knife, commando pro, OMA, lag with 3-bars, second chance, 360noscopingYYoffaladderbullshitkill, etc.) And again, I am a COD player. I didn't like BFBC2, but I'm loving BF3. So, don't think I'm some kind of BF3 fanboy.

I played COD first with MW2 then BO, but I've come to love BF3. When playing COD, I can get top score w/o even trying. But in BF3, I HAVE to strategize with my friends because it's all about team tactics. I love that about this game. One friend told me that he doesn't like BF3 because he has no patience for team play. And I think that's why so many COD players don't like BF3. There's nothing bad about the game, it just doesn't fit their play style and don't want to make the adjustment.

@siempreawesome why does everyone think battlefield takes more teamwork or strategy to win then call of duty? look at call of duty xp and see team optic! in mw3 optic used strategy and tactics very much so than the average battlefield player. i use a mic and i communicate with 9 of my friends when we play call of duty and we constantly communicate. bf3 you can only talk to 4 people at a time such as the members in your squad. less communication=less strategy! less comunication=less coordination

@MrTargettarget First, in COD I can jump into a game by myself, own the other team, earn killstreaks, and use my ac130/dogs/nuke to win the game. In BF3 if I jump into the game by myself, I have to work with my squad to win. Second, In COD I know where my enemies are because they appear on my map when they shoot their gun. In bf3, I know where my enemies are because my TEAMMATES 'spot' them for everyone to see. Finally, COD players are all about KD ratio while BF3 players are all about PTFO.

I do prefer BF as its much more fun to me as its team based etc. However I do play COD with my friends as thats the only game they play and there not so much of a gamer as I am :3. Anyway I am sick to death of all these pro- BF3 comments where people constantly say the same stuff "COD is copy and paste" Blah Blah Blah. Anyway I respect other people's choice of game and I will be getting both on Christmas. Both will be great games and I applaud the dev's for taking their time with both the games.

Im CoD i almost never felt that, i consider myself a better than average player and can admit when i legitimately get killed, but usually it was because they had some perk, or a gun that had no recoil, or i spawn into dogs/chopper gunner and there is no way out

Personally I prefer battlefield because, though it is much, much harder to master, in the long run it is more gratifying. When I win a Battlefield match, everyone on my team is like, good job guys, and everyone on the other team is discussing how to win the next. In CoD everyone is like, MY MASTER QUICKSCOPEZ WON DA GAME DERP and when they lose they blame it on someone else. When you lose a match in BF2, you realize that the opposing team had outclassed you and you want to win next time...

Just to provide some context for the shameless fanboyism going on around these two games.
When the two directors of the publishers behind these games are going at each others' throats, and publicly declaring war on each other, it's no wonder the loyal crowd of each game follows the example given.
Doesn't change the fact that as consumers and as a peron, no matter how old or young you are, you should respect a different opinion.
For the record, I'm getting both games. Both are awesome.

The objective of both games, but in BF more apparent, is to WIN a match - NOT get killstreak rewards. Therefor skill is not the ability to get killstreaks, but the ability to perform will within the game's parameters. In BF the emphasis is on team play to win, something that takes way more skill than running around and shooting everything that moves and isn't highlighted in green.

BF3 takes more skill: choppers are very hard to fly, enemies are harder to spot, gun handling is harder, basic movement is slower and to win a match you actually NEED to work together.
CoD: Run around and shoot things. If you react quicker, or even more important, your ping is lower, you will win a confrontation.
BF3 is harder than CoD. This is actually the main reason it's less popular.
Also, skill is NOT the ability to get killstreak rewards.

See, I play both CoD and Battlefield, and I know a lot of people who "love" CoD only don't like Battlefield because they can't carry their team through Rush or whatnot. And I know a lot of die hard Battlefielders don't like CoD because it's a twitch shooter, while Battlefield takes patience. Honestly, I don't care, I play Battlefield when I want to actually think about playing, and I play CoD when I just want mind numbing autopilot.

I perfer MW3. Its simply more fun, faster frame rate, and is more responsive. CoD is getting shit for lack of change in MW3 is completle and utter garbage. The game play is getting restructured as much as it can while still being CoD ,Battlefeild got a new engine. The gameplays the same, they havent or added anything beyond that. I still like BF but I perfer a game that values gameplay and feel over looks and sound. As for people bitching about dedicated servers it would cost too much money.

I'm the opposite. I appreciate and am patient and know the timer is there to promote a more careful, mature approach as opposed to the ADD-mania in COD. COD is way too easy to play and the gameplay is braindead. I laugh at the no recoil "proficiencies" in MW3 and how they have lowered the bar for that game to the lowest common denominator. I used to love COD, and thought COD4 was fantastic, but the series has gone to the shitter. No dedicated servers is also inexcusable.

i like this video, seems very fair and even based, but i just want to point out battlefeild can be slow but it can also be very very fast, snipers can run out and be dumb like in cod, i do it in both games, it is harder in battlefeild obviously but its still very fast paced game and there are a lot of crazy things that can happen in battlefeild with destructability and vehicles that you just dont get in cod. still both good games and i enjoy both

People fail to realize there's strategy and tactical play in CoD's objective modes. If you run with a team you can come up with strategies to do well in Domination. I like how you have to earn you choppers instead of seeing who clearly don't PTFO run for the tanks and kill whore. But that happens in both games so to each his own

I prefer COD because was my first online game. I dont like battlefield, not because of the gameplay, but because of the advertising. I agree that both games are completely different. But battlefield is pushing so hard to be a cod killer, which it is not. even the games slogan, "above and beyond the CALL". So I will not be buying BF3 until months after MW3, just to contribute to the overwhelming #'s that will show that COD is vastly more popular.
