  • me hace recordar una linda chica

    it remindsme a prety girl

  • 5 bucks if you can guess Bernie's favorite color. And listening to the male actors voice in the b/w vid he reminds me of Emelio Estevez.

  • essa , música é sensacional , a letra é muito bem escrita e faz sentido o titulo da música parese , ser outra coisa

  • The start of the video scared me, lol. But good song. =)

  • una delle canzoni più belle degli anni '80

  • What movie was referenced where the woman says "I don't believe in reincarnation"?

  • I believe the b/w scene was shot for this music video, it's not cut from an old movie. The actress is Jodie Long.

  • Married with Mop??? I guesss... It was starred by Michelle Pfeiffer..

  • great song!

  • belissima musica, me reporta aos anon 80. bravo!!!

  • I prefer non-refreshed version of this song

  • Best song of the 80s hands down.

  • This is one of the greatest songs ever, in my opinion.

  • omg this song makes me wanna kill myself!!!

  • ha I love New Order but I admit, this song gets on my nerves too.

  • it makes you wanna just run away huh! i feel you. there has to be more in life for us!

  • yo odio los 80 en musica y cine... pero ago excepciones con Joy Division y alguna de esta gente

  • No te fascinan los 80s entonces tu madre es una puta re putaputa re putaputa re putaputa re putaputa re puta

  • new order roxx but joy division is where its at

  • If you dont like the song how can you like the lyrics??????

  • opposite for me

  • Maravilhaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Still a great beat and perfect rhythm, Got to love that song.

  • New Order, Depeche Mode, When In Rome. Best groups of all time! They created the best songs of all time!

  • new order: best dance music!

  • I can not name another band - that is more under-rated than this group : the name is "new order"

  • As great as this song is, I'm still trying to figure out what the fuck the music video is about and what it's trying to say.

  • greatest! i think somebody one of the top stars will by some samples from this song soon after 20 year ago!

  • re-dos suck

  • 80's are the best!!!

  • Simplemente buenos tiempos, simplemente buena musica.

  • this song is amazing! im really into this band now...

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!

  • JUST GREAT

  • I' ve heard New Order's & Frente's style n I think both are great!!

  • Great song. Great band. I really like listening to their early stuff, and then stuff like this. You can really hear how they changed and developed their sound.

  • similar chord pattern as viva la vida

  • One of my fav bands from the 80s. To bad they cannot get along these days. haha

  • Were there two versions of this video?

  • yes I know its a matter of opinion. GOOD ol DAYS vs. NOWADAYS. but theres just somethin about the music/movies in the 80's even and I was too young to remember the 80's. I mean what do we got nowadays? LIL WAYNE?!?!SOULJA BOY!?!? REALITY SHOWS!?!?! -pure crap! no wonder we keep reminiscing the oldschool.

  • HAAAAAAH

  • Just watched Married to the Mob again after twenty years. I had forgotten this classic.

  • You weren't even BORN yet. This is a GREAT song!

  • Temazoooo!!!! ¡Cuántos recuerdos!

  • Look deeper.

  • yes..he says up...its a great interlude.

  • 2:45 "... because I refuse to come back as a rabbit or bug"

    "you know, you're a real ------ person"

What does he say??? you're a real UP person?

  • He says;

"You know, you're a real FUCKED UP person."

  • 80s FTW.

  • actually this is edit unique to the video. and in any version, this song is a classic!

  • Best music ever. EVER!

  • Gosh, 80's music videos were so surreal. they just had a certain signature about them. And personally I think they are better than today's.

  • Amen to that comment, my friend. I may be in my preteens during those days and I was having the time of my life with such music... and when Michael Jackson was somewhat innocent.

Damn, did I just blurt out Jacko? Who cares, this was the song that made me want to be a DJ, which I am now.

  • i personally like frente's cover of this song more, but there are certain parts by new order i like more

  • frente's version is gay! Nothing compare with this version :)

  • do you listen with your ear or your eye :) ?

  • both...i see a video clip right... and frente's singer is posing gay (@ least that appeared to me)

  • In 2004 the song by new order was ranked #201 in Rolling Stone's "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".

Please DO NOT mention Frente version here. No comparison.

  • I love this song and the cover by Stabbing Westward.

  • Good beginning, true, but not even halfway through the movie it turned into mass message for everyone. STOP GLOBAL WARMING. Plus Keanu Reeves just can't act for shit.

  • me trae tantos recuerdos esta cancion me encanta!!!!

  • AMO ESSE SOM....THE BEST!!!!!

  • Music nowadays is PLASTIC & CHEAP compared to CLASSICS like this!!!

  • It's nice to see people who know when music was good and sung by people with something called TALENT. All these wannabe popstars today are just crap. There's a reason I only listen to the '80s and past. Early '90s was ok too.

  • Not only MUSIC,but MOVIES as well jakemiller5000,its' all GARBAGE NOWADAYS!!!

  • I have to agree. Recently saw "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Keanu Reeves. Terrible. Most movies these days simply fail to impress. Heck, a low-grade 1980s B movie is more exciting than this modern shit.

  • SO TRUE, jakemiller5000, about MOST music and movies these days. it really has revolved around making money, or tries to be political. they still think special effects will make it deliver. -just doesn't cut it anymor. No wondr ppl dont LINE UP for the movies like theydid in the 80's w E.T. or Return of the Jedi. And as far as music, ppl dont go crazy for popstars these days like they did with Micheal Jackson (oldschool MJ), Cyndi Lauper or others in the 80's. GOOD OL DAYS vs. NOWADAYS...hmmmm

  • +1

Yep, if I had known the post-1990s would be so bad, I would have really enjoyed the '80s even more!

  • what a great jam. i love the unedited version also.

thanks for 4 minutes of peace of mind.

  • you wouldn't want to live thru the 80's.pastels, geometric hair .stumbling all over homeless people in Reagan land.the classic ;American Psycho [about the 80's] gets to the core of what the 80's was all about and why we are here- bankrupt today.New Order excepted.

  • Everything else aside I loved having geometric hair

  • Don't blame today's financial fiasco on the 80s. Today's excess makes the 80s look like an age of frugality. At least the 80s produced real music like New Order unlike the corporate crap that passed for music today. Pre-fab bands & singers, Simon Cowell & those of his ilk.

  • umm,,,prefab bands have existed way before this time....the monkeys.....ring a bell???

  • I don't give a damn. 80's shine on.... :)

  • loveee thissss

i wish i could have lived through the 80s, i was born in 87!

  • basturncom (BTC) got a point-many great and timeless songs, especially in the Depression Era 1930's to 1941-were built out of hardship and make music, art, etc with what you had around. Poverty sometimes beed creativity. For tooday' spopular music scene, let's hope.

  • I dont believe in reincarnation because I refuse to come back as a bug, or as a rabbit.

You know, youre a real up person.

    AHHHHHHH YEEES.

  • the beat is the tightest. unmatched to this day.

  • Artist Robert Longo directed this.

He has a cool visual style.

  • Probably my favorite song of all time.

If I were stranded on an island, and I could only have one CD to play, I would take New Order's Substance.

  • wut about a cd player :P

  • i feel like i'm on drugs when i watch this.

  • BLT are the best! I love this video!

and OMG i'm in tears because have you seen the amazing real life love story everyone is talking about on youtube in the video called:

ONE MAN. ONE DREAM. ONE CHANCE

People are just going crazy about this video and it was the most amazing thing i've ever seen.

  • Lol, kinda like the GM, chrysler, ford love triangle.

  • i fuckin love new order there music is so awesomeley fascinating

  • Like Madonna , but nothing like Madonna. She wishes she had made this song. Don't get me wrong I love Madonna but this song is unique and is better than anythig the diva has ever recorded!!!!

  • this is very similar like madonna(seriously)

  • one of the greatest songs of the 80's imo.

i just love this song even though some people think this is a gay song.

  • new ORDER DO NOT NEED THE MONEY THAT SOME INDUSTRY OF THE MUSIC SPEND IN SOME PEOPLE LIKE BRITNEY SPEARS, THIS IS REAL TRUTH...

  • what the fuck was that talky bit in the middle of the song i hate it when videos do that it breaks flow

  • You know, you're a real "up" person.

  • omfg loads of them suck although take on me is good but duran duran and the bangles are awful

  • you're fucking dumbass....go back to listening rap crap and American Idol

    LMFAO

  • I'm 18 too, it sucks music sucks so much these days, it's like there is almost no creative juice left. :/ I feel so happy there are others like me! ^_^

  • Sadly everyone is playing it safe. There are no more true rebels anymore. Seems the world is full of creative cowards; money is god and celebrity is all. Years ago music meant more than either of two things...

  • Damn well put. : /

  • maybe it will come back. lots of people had no job and no prospects in the 1980s. So they formed bands and experimented. That's not been the case for a long time now (since the early 1990s - the last time that genuine new music came to the fore IMHO). Maybe with the recession that will change.

  • I agree with you in some respect, yet with a little searching you can find the same sound in certain genres of music of today. Check out bands like Late of the Pier, Blood Red Shoes, Cut Copy, Justice and Klaxons.

It's still going on, just not as large scale and prominent as the 1980's.

  • dedicada para mayra. aún sigo pedo desde el viernes. y te amo desde que nací...

  • I think I know where Gwen Stefani got her song 'The Real Thing'

  • Amazing song, amazing band. period.

Thank you New Order for producing music that is worth wild to listen to.

  • The band Stabbing Westward does a pretty good cover of this

  • "atmosphere" :)

  • people who like joy division are def snobs about it, but i've never heard a JD song that really struck me...if ur a fan, recommend something to me, bc so far, new order strikes me as the better of the 2...

  • "Isolation"

  • Joy Division was great, but it's an acquired taste. I became a fan of New Order first and when I learnt they were Joy Division, I gave them a try, but it was a shock hearing this weird deep voice of Ian Curtis. It didn't caught me at first, but after many tries, I discovered how unique they sounded. New Order and Joy Division are now my two favourite bands ever; no other artist comes close to them IMO.

  • Modern pop classic.

  • fantastic song....i'm not tired of playing it over and over again can't help but dance and sing with it.hehehe more new order pls....

  • This song is fantastic. I was a mobile DJ, from 86 to 89 and this song was one of the most requested song for the floor. I would speed up the turn table a little to keep the tempo going.

  • I was one of the masses who requested this song at the clubs. It seems the really telented dj's could grab this song and mix it and manipulate it until it was so amazingly perfect for dancing. I can imagine you had a blast mixing this one. Blue Monday was also a powerful dance tune with a great tempo and strong electronic beat. :)

  • I wonder what Ian Curtis would've thought of what his band had become. I mean I love New Order, but their sound is completely different than JD's.

  • wow........I fuckin love this song...........

  • love this song ;D

  • you are right. TOP song. Better than Joy Division on ANY day.

  • Screw you!

damn hé, Joy Division is defintely better. New Order isn't to compare wwith JD

  • no fucking way.... Joy Division is thousand times better...

  • Just for that you come back as a grasshopper.

Apparently I used to love this song when it came out & I still do...but now it reminds me I'll be 20 soon :P

  • My favorite by New Order including the 'original' dance version. This song still sounds fresh considering it's been about 20 years since it came out.

  • new order rock u can see why this band is the best band on planet and leave the other useless manchester band oasis for dead.

  • Ooops I mean Middle age is the period of life beyond young adulthood but before the onset of old age

  • oops it doesn't matter how old are you if you are not open minded and bitter man.

  • middle ages sucks

  • my best times ever

  • It a good drog to your ears but be aware of addiction :))))))))) I am an addict for a long time :DDD New Order will be new forever:)

  • かっこいいなぁ

  • Wow...this used to be my ultimate favorite favorite song back then....thank you!!

  • from Spain, thank you so much for doing those songs for everybody, thanks so much awesome new order

  • Muito Bom !!!

  • great song

  • Great song and video.

    New Order are great.

  • PERFEKT! :D

  • Its just simple perfect ! :)

  • "i don't believe in reincarnation because i refuse to come back as a bug or as a rabbit"

    lol sooo funny :D

  • Blacks dont like me, Blacks wont play with me
