EVERYONE...the "no-shooting-from-behind-the-b­ackboard rule" was designed to prevent someone from trying to score while inbounding the ball - i.e., throwing it over the backboard from underneath it. Look it up. In this case, the player was INSIDE the inbounds when he shot the ball. It is perfectly legal.

It doesn't show on the standings that they won by 1 point or 10 points or whatever in overtime, it just shows that they won the game because that's all that matters. UCLA also has the most championships out of all college teams (total and ncaab) and they made the final four each of the last 2 years, losing to the champion, (first time in the finals). get your facts straight and shut the hell up if you don't want to sound like a retard.

OMG your a retard. That is the ref's decision if it went over the backboard and he had to make the call on the spot. You can't even tell if it went over the backboard after watching numerous replays. Watch the video, he was not behind the basket. The shot cannot come from behind the backboard if he is at the side of the basket. Watch the angle of the flight of the ball from the camera view fron midcourt.

The ball did not come from behind the backboard. He would have to be behind the backboard for it to bo illegal, and he was on the side bo the backboard from a behind angle, but not from behind. Legal shot.
