EVERYONE...the "no-shooting-from-behind-the-backboard rule" was designed to prevent someone from trying to score while inbounding the ball - i.e., throwing it over the backboard from underneath it. Look it up. In this case, the player was INSIDE the inbounds when he shot the ball. It is perfectly legal.
cheated....worse than the yankees your probaly some sister in law of a husband who wish he understood sports. who says that. UCLA is the best team ion the NCAA WHEN THERE HEALTHY. No one can beat them when they play there best game NO ONE.
It doesn't show on the standings that they won by 1 point or 10 points or whatever in overtime, it just shows that they won the game because that's all that matters. UCLA also has the most championships out of all college teams (total and ncaab) and they made the final four each of the last 2 years, losing to the champion, (first time in the finals). get your facts straight and shut the hell up if you don't want to sound like a retard.
OMG your a retard. That is the ref's decision if it went over the backboard and he had to make the call on the spot. You can't even tell if it went over the backboard after watching numerous replays. You call that cheating? and ucla is probably the best team in NCAA right now and they have the best odds going into the tournament. and beating 2 "LOUSY" teams, omg your a retard. Stanford was #7 in the nation with only 3 losses to teams other than UCLA. BTW, a win is a win..........................
are you fucking retarded? stanford is a top ten team in the country and cal would be damn good in any other conference besides the impossibly difficult pac 10
you're a dipshit. you can hate ucla all you want and the calls were questionable but blame the refs, not the team. you have to give credit to josh shipp, that shit was amazing
you guys don't know anything about perspective, the angle couldn't make the guy appear to be behind the backboard if he wasn't only the other way around.
this isnt over the backboard losers. u lost get over it a wins a win. secondly it went over the side of the backboard the ball has to be fully out of bouns over the back.
First of all, Shut the fuck up, anyone with eyes can see that it went BEHIND (not over retard) the backboard, and the second thing you said is just plain wrong, its an illegitimate shot.
Watch the video, he was not behind the basket. The shot cannot come from behind the backboard if he is at the side of the basket. Watch the angle of the flight of the ball from the camera view fron midcourt.
Please, the official probably didn't know the rule. You got the win, but you got a bad call go your way. I'm not a fan of either team, but it was so obvious.
The ball did not come from behind the backboard. He would have to be behind the backboard for it to bo illegal, and he was on the side bo the backboard from a behind angle, but not from behind. Legal shot.
Cal suck!

I still think UCLA should be bumped to #6 for having two such close "victories" against two such lousy teams.
