I got a 16.60 SV. what am I doing wrong G(.7), F(.6), E(.5), 3D(1.2), 2C(.6), B(.2), A(.1). EGR= 2.0 and CV= .2 for f-f layout 2ft, .1 for aerial walkover fwd +tuck bk, .2 for salto tck fwd+sheep jump, .2(for r-o f-f dbl Arabian dsmt. what did I do wrong?
@NewNewNastiaFan101 how would this routine compare to her olympic routine? which one would be more difficult using the COP in 2007? or even the current one?
2007 start value - 16.9... and that's with an A turn and counting one B skill (BHS). So even without the ubiquitous leg up full turn and one more C/D skill, this routine is as hard as any we've seen from Shawn Johnson! That's amazing... especially for 2003
The first pass included a layout (arguably), so BE there (0.8), then DC (0.8), F (arabian), A turn, punch front-ring jump (0.9), switch leap (0.3), and the dismount BBG (0.9). Add 2.5 and you have 6.9 ... 6.6 if you only give her credit for a pike back at the beginning, but I'm pretty sure the judges would give a famous American gymnast credit for a layout there (same as they give Ponor 0.5 for her 'whip back').
you're forgetting she's missing the requirement of 2 jumps which is .5 off her score, so if she were to do a sissone or something after her switch leap, it would be a 6.9
If there's one thing Carly was not lacking, it was difficulty. Her artistry may not have been up to par with Khorkina's (whose was, really?), but Svetlana is the gymnast who was known for her lack of power (and difficulty on FX in particular)... instead she had to figure out how to make the Code work for her and her abilities... something at which the Russian clearly succeeded.
whats the score?

Her standing arabian looks so effortless. You see someone like Memmel do it, and it's good, but no where near as effortless... I loved this routine.

when I calculated i only ended up with a 16.4, how did you end up with a 16.9?

pme88 is right, it's a 6.4 A Score

that makes sense, i knew she was missing a requirement somewhere...

this is a fabulous routine, i like it a little better than the modified one she did at the olympics. there will be no one else like her on beam

This comment has received too many negative votes show
she just can't perform on the same level as Svetlana Khorkina, she lacks artistry amd removes difficult elements when she can't do them
HoneyGotMeHooked 4 years ago
Well its better to remove the difficult elements than fall on them right?
