  • 1:16 - 1:30 :) Love It!!!

  • I'd do stuff to her drummer. Her too, cause She's Courney Fucking Love.

  • This their only song i like

  • Quick titties at 1:20

  • KURT MY BAD!

  • courtney was hot as hell in this video! and yeah she did kind of copy kurt's sound hell on live through this kurt was in the studio the whole time pretty much many people think JURT WROTE THAT ALBUM

  • im high

  • I adore Stevie Nicks and I love Courtney. Both are rock queens, talented and tough and edgy. There aren't that many artists who can do such a good cover. Courtney's got to be given credit for taking a classic song and giving such a good performance. I'd love to see a duet.

  • @Reeseriver Now that's an idea never thought about until now? None of us would survive such? 2 Queens take each other to task over which version is better? End result would shall we say make little guys pee in their pants? May I humbly offer rare thing second attempt is ever equal, let alone better? Tron Legacy would be case in point?

  • @superunt43 I concur with your comments. I am often in awe of how talented, brave, and rocking those iconic women are. Yes, you are correct. A performance of Courtney and Stevie together (or Joan Jett, Lita, or Pat, for that matter) would make the little guys tremble.

  • @Reeseriver I have 2 sisters my friend, both more talented than I will ever hope to be. I remain the oldest, probably made the girls reach further. If I did, I stand proud. Hence I have reference point. Women you speak of had no choice but to BUCK-UP as it were? I hold hope for Danica few no of? Woman steps into ultimate "man's world"? She may actually be the 1?

  • Great cover... Yah I know, she's a crackhead

  • Great remake. Courtney was hot as well.

  • I normally perfer originals, but this version is a lot more edgier and raw. Well done Courtney

  • I FUCKEN LOVE THIS VERSION

  • What album is this on?

  • @dcsyxxll1 This is from "The Crow: City of Angels" soundtrack.

  • kurt and courtney actually looked fairly similar as well as vocal styles

  • Its interesting to note how similar her vocal style is to Cobain's.

  • @6661victor She actually copied Kurt's unique sound. If you listen to some of her music before she met Kurt, it sounds completely different from this.

  • @OkayWhoBroughtTheDog Everyone in the 90s was copying Kurt's sound.

  • Courtney will always be one of those women who either you really love her, or you really hate her. There is no in between (unless you hate her as a person but love the music, which happens). Either way, she has that appeal. If people are talking about her, at least she isnt forgotten. She is a rock goddess and has earned every bit of it. She looks really beautiful here too.

  • @tallcoolonejojo0990 Courtney is great. She definitely has that appeal--and then some. She is one of my favorite female rock stars next to some of my favorite rock goddesses. And yes, she is really beautiful. I'd like to see more of her music videos whenever opportunity presents itself.

  • Great song from the Crow: City Of Angels Soundtrack.

  • I adore this cover!

  • Under appreciated, strong, beautiful, intelligent, passionate, survivor, just to name a few things that make Courtney Love a Goddess. Oh and then there is her growl. Grrrrr! Love you Courtney Love!!!!!!

  • Love this version. :-)

  • IDGAF, Courtney Love is sexy. FUCK EVERYBODY!!

Oh yeah,...I used to looooove this video back in the day.

  • 90 people have a silver dust woman.

  • It was fame and addiction that killed Kurt, NOT Courtney, stupid dillhole who has NO idea what they are talking about. You have never even met either one. You are pathetic if you're posting negative comments on a Youtube. It's called Divorce, if he wanted away from Courtney. Eventually he would've gotten custody, so your comment is SO far from the truth, you pathetic, miserable little ugly person, you.

  • She is such a Rock Star!! I want her stay on earth and continue to be who she is, everyone else is fake.

  • Courtney looks awesome in this colour. This kind of reminds me of Frances' look as of now. Good genes I guess ;)

  • This is actually a cover that's GOOD.

  • soul sucking murderer.

    WHAT? who said that?

  • What a F'in JOKE!

    Now I'll Go Puke

  • This has got to be the best remake ever.

  • she's so pretty here

  • I'm trying to learn this somg with my band now :D

  • Wish the old hole would come back

  • @Eternalseraph - You are right, Hole's cover of Gold Dust Woman doesn't have the same feeling as the Fleetwood Mac version. That being said, both bands made such different versions, so you can't even properly compare them. To say that one version is better than the other is comparing apples to oranges.

  • Wow I didn't even know this was a remake . And Fleetwoood Mac are great

  • WOOOOMAAAAAAAAAAYYYYHHHNNNN!!! ;-D

  • Courtney Love kicks everybody's ass!

  • Stevie's Version is wonderful when you feel like relaxing

And Courtney's version is great for when your filled with rage and revenge!

So, either way, both versions rule

  • No. Just no. This version is nowhere near as good as people are saying it is. It just doesn't have the same feeling as the Fleetwood Mac version, and to say Courtney outdid Stevie is outright a lie

  • unbelieveably good

  • i agree, this cover kicks ass! i enjoy it more than the original and outdoing stevie nicks is no small feat. courtney is freakin' awesome!

  • Hey I'm new to hole, never have heard of them until today. But I quickly grew to like them. Can someone give me a shord list with the best of (since I heard that their later work isn't that god and all)

  • @rutger5000 They have 4 albums, latest is Nobody's Daughter, which is not that bad, 1998- Celebrity Skin commercialy oriented pop/rock music, i don't like it ,1997- compilation My Body, The Hand Grenade with some of their best work- Burn Black, Drown Soda, Beautiful Son, Dicknail, 1994-Live Through This, pretty good album, with Violet, Doll Parts, Gutless, Plump being it's highlights, 1991- Pretty On The Inside, very raw grunge, punk rock album, best songs- Garbadge man, Berry, Teenage Whore

  • @elfofwoods Agree with most of that. But fans of Hole should also check Courtney's solo, America's Sweetheart. Some incredible songs on their: Never Gonna Be The Same, Hold on to me, Life despite God, Almost Golden, Sunset strip, and the release was pretty solid (mono). But a great record. And Nobody's Daughter should be seen the same as Exiled on Main Street. 20 years from now, this will be the record that means the most. Oh and I'd toss Rockstar in for Live through this. But great list!

  • @rutger5000 Made a little playlist, feel free to check it out. Pretty much captures it all. Can't go wrong buying a Hole or Courtney Love record. They're all amazing. (after the youtube dot com above) /playlist?p=PL86A9C616CC13D55D

  • Killer song...

  • MELISSA MELISSA MELISSA

  • I love Fleetwood Mac and all, but this version is far superior!

  • I love Fleetwood Mac and all, but this version is far superior!

  • It's a fucking great cover. I love Fleetwood Mac and the original, but Hole has made a distinct cover that sounds (sounded) relevant to the time period they were in while still honoring the original and making it their own. Love the harmonies between Auf Der Mar and Courtney.

  • The original is a classic, but I like this version better

  • My favorite version of this song. It was one of the only good things from The Crow: City of Angels.

  • excellent cover

    courtney love is amazing.

  • Seems like in the minority, which is fine, but I am not feelin' this remake at all. Maybe if half the lyrics weren't wrong. Idk...did Stevie approve those lyric changes? Did Courtney even know what the lyrics are? Idk...doesn't make sense to me.

  • @MankTVGuy Sorry - but what lines are different from the original? Also, Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks would have to approve the song in order for it to be released.

  • @electricbixxh Besides maybe changing "Rock on Ancient Queen" to "Rock on Ancient Woman"? That's the only one I picked up.

  • @electricbixxh 0:36 - "Heartless challenge" becomes "one less challenge"; 0:53 "See your sunrise loves to go down" becomes "See your sunlight runnin' to go down"; 1:04 "Lousy lovers pick their prey" becomes "Lousy lovers pick their graves".

That's only verse one. I really didn't listen too far ahead. I see a lot of people are fans of this version and I have nothing against that. Just doesn't do it for me, and the lyric changes just perplex me.

  • @MankTVGuy Wow. I'm so un-observant hahaha I don't know. I don't see the lyric changes as a huge deal. Maybe the changes made it more personal for C.Love.

  • @electricbixxh Possibly. And I guess it's not a huge deal. I just don't get how decisions like that are made. Like you said, someone obviously approved them. Oh well...bottom line is, the cover still doesn't do it for me.

  • @MankTVGuy Well the original is pretty amazing and does have Stevie Nicks' haunting witch vibes. Definitely love it.

  • @electricbixxh Totally...Stevie gives me the chills in that song. Plus Christine and Lindsey's harmonies are so essential to the chorus. Again, this is all IMHO.

  • directo a mi play list!

  • She was truly beautiful in this video.. Natural hair color and low toned lips. It's just so much more soft- doesn't take anything away from her hard rockage at all! Please Courtney, make a come back, beautiful like this.

  • i wish courtney looked like this forever

she was gorgeous in this video

  • Omg, I just had a music orgasm :O

  • i think fleetwoodmac and kurt approve

  • FVCK KITTY

  • i love this song courtney looks beautiful as ever

  • I'm not a fan of Hole, but this song is great, and Ms. Auf Der Mar has never looked more beautiful.

  • Stevie's version was more trippy, and more about the pressure that she was feeling at the beginning of her carrier. Courtney's is about rage, not pressure. It's different, which is good, it doesn't disrespects Fleetwood Mac, which is even better. All in all an AMAZING COVER. This woman totally rules.

  • @ChrissieBana I've wanted a female such as this woman all my life. Rage? yes.

  • @superunt43 Well, there's nothing wrong with rage. I know, as pissed as Courtney can be (and she has every right to be, just like everyone else) she can also be very sentimental, and that's what I personaly look for when I listen to music, sentimentality, melancolia... And yeah rage, 'cause it makes people feel more free, at least for a little while.

  • Courtney i luuuuuuv u <3

    i want maried me whit u <3

  • what would white power have anything to do with good music?

  • Why not just listen to the song! She is a huge fan of Stevie Nicks and this is her way of honoring her.

  • How come this isn't on any of their albums?

  • How come this isn't on any of their albums?

  • @071jbird because she aint pulling a sheryl crow, remaking "sweet child of mine" then putting it on her greatest hits album. shes not a rip off, she just likes rocking old tunes her way.

  • @071jbird Try the "Crow II" soundtrack

  • FUCKIN` GREAT REMAKE

  • @flymarvin amen!!!!!!!

  • oh no! not u courtney killed kurt morons. kurt killed himself and i have been stickin to that since i was 14/15 when it happened.

  • Dear majority of mindless and talentless trash fellow Americans.U can sit and judge by some media inspired wannabes, about how someone else is false.YOU, most of you, never had the guts to leave your own town.Grow up..Courtney Love is an artist.

  • you got a girl? I'll make her a black widow

  • @RipuBhatia Now I have, and I stand by my statement.

  • Love you Courtney. Fuck those who think you killed Kurt. Happy birthday man..love you.

  • COURTNEY KILLED KURT.

  • love this song. takes me back to bein 13 haha

  • I think she did a great job with this. Don't like then don't listen is how I look @ it. SO ADDING TO MY FAV's!!!!

  • ... and pretend they adore you ... Beautiful noon in USA and beautiful midnight in far east. Tomáš Gola ... ;-)

  • :DDDDD They will never surprise you for all their career, will do/have done any fault and first thought that came up to your mind for the first time you saw them was "What it is?"; For example after ten years in your firm they will earn you a single penny but their motivation is only material ... ;-)

  • :DDDDD We´ll really let you send your lives to hell with your "work" as well - for your seniors - it´s zero in the end. Tomáš Gola ... :DDDDDDDD

  • Every time I hear this song I think of the Crow.

  • I am totally into guys, but she is so badass here!! she kicks ass with this song, like it better than Fleetwood. She looks good with darker hair too! Would like to hear Joan Jett try this song!! Courtney is tuff!

  • very sexy

  • I just listened to the Fleetwood Mac version and its very nice too. I like it. Hole and fleetwood mac versions are both going on my mp3. I like hows there is a slow and fast version. Very cool.

  • Yo I couldnt wait till this song came on back in the day. Now I have yotube and can see the video and play this shit as much as I want. HA

  • I wonder what FM/Stevie Nicks thought of this cover. Anyone know if there is an interview about it?

  • I think FM got it wrong with the original. Not to say the original isn't a decent tune but this is meant to be played with some aggression and tempo. Hole nailed it.

Sorry to say to the dudes who are falling for Courtney but NO girl looks good next to Melissa Auf der Maur - the finest looking babe in rock hands down.

  • Was and is still amazing....it seems like another lifetime when mtv played rocking videos like this...........

  • i want to fuck her so bad it makes me go out of my fucking mind

  • oh my god courtney is so freakin hot in this video she's a natural brunnette

  • Sorry people, but she butchered this song! Eeek!

  • she dose look great with dark hair courtney the goddess she dose look awesome

  • MINHA FAVORITA DO HOLE

  • I don't wanna perpetuate the religious debate on this thread. All I gotta say is that I'm an unashamed Christian in a society set on science and don't mind the view of anyone else. However, when people of any religion make idiotic claims such as rock music is evil, I pity their ignorance. Despite the "expectations of my religion" I love rock music and other "controversial" things. As far as this song goes, I love this cover even though I'm too much of a hole fan.

  • @paclingan1992 amen me too and im also christan

  • @paclingan1992 I like that. I love rock music and Im far from evil. No one should feel guity for loving certain kinds of music. Keep on rocking.

  • Courtney Love Rocks! she is a rock goddess!

she looks great with dark hair!

  • Courtney Love RULES!! She is a rock goddess!

She looks awesome with dark hair!

  • man this broad was so beautyful at that when the crow 2 came out but damn she went down the toilet

  • she should do "mack the knife" *-*

  • Courtney is an absolute piece of beauty, she's stunning with her natural hair color. I love her

  • @paramoretony I agree. she looks better with the darker hair.

  • courtney was so beautiful in this video

  • Courtney was so damn beautiful in this vid

  • She was so hot back then! Pre-surgery. AND sober.

  • she iz hawt >.< A hawt lil rocKsTare!!!

  • Great Song!!!

  • what is this song exactly about?

  • @nancycakes5

The song is about the downfall of Fleetwood Mac head woman Stevie Nicks (which is who originally wrote it).It discusses her cocaine addiction and failed relationship with Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

  • @dreamzeppelinarcher Oh, this song is so intense, thank you for explaining :)

    take care

  • @nancycakes5

    Your welcome

    You take care, too!

  • love melissa auf der maur

  • @nvrsurrender yeah, man me too.........sell my soul to her!11

  • sexy woman

  • aaaahhhh what happened

  • real Christians never killed anyone? Are you serious! Religion has been the underlying current in every war in history. What about the inquisition? The Salem witch trials, I could go on but it's not worth my time. For the record I'm agnostic,

  • @Outragedjoker I disagree about religion being the underlying current. It's been used to justify the greed that is the real cause.

It goes more like "I want their oil, and my religion says I can have it." than "My religion says I have to attack them."

I totally didn't explain that correctly, but I hope you get what I'm saying.

  • adoro essa musica

  • I am completely sure that her career should have been over before it started.. Pop another pill courtney and follow it with some jack

  • OK, 1996. I'd never heard this until now, and it's great, but I knew it couldn't be from the LATE nineties Hole...

  • Damn, Courtney is hot when she doesn't look like a train wreck.

  • I see that we have another Jesus nut....anyway great song.

  • This music is evil, and so is all rock, look up "they sold their souls for rock and roll".

I warn you people to listen to me, Jesus took me to Hell and back, I know what I'm talking about. See my testimony too "I saw Hell testimony part 1of 3"

  • @williamsfilms1 your insane. seek help please.

  • @john30626

I did and Jesus set me free, see my personal film of how Jesus took me to Hell and back again called: " I saw Hell testimony part 1 of 3".

  • @williamsfilms1 and how do you sell your soul for rock n roll???

  • @Libertinedreamful See this film. /watch?v=AKIQ7T-t_V4

  • @williamsfilms1 well i guess that means im going downstairs then. not that i give a fuck :)

  • @Libertinedreamful

What do you mean "your going down and don't care?"

I care, so just think how much more Jesus cares, you are loved much more than you know.

You are more beautiful and valuable to God than diamonds.

  • @williamsfilms1 I'm sorry sir, but you have no right to judge anything as evil, people always go around saying "this is evil" and "that is evil", but in the end never seem to realize that the more things they judge as "evil", the more evil they become

  • @Mayubix Yes I do have the right and discerning that it is evil is a good thing cuss now I can warn adults and children that it does have a negative influence on especially the young children. You like most people have just been desensitized by it already and now what would have shocked you as a bad thing you THINK is normal.

Watch the film "They sold their souls for rock 'n' roll" but see the one on google NOT youyube.

  • @williamsfilms1 shut the fuck up you fucking moron. no one gives a fuck about your stupid jebus are what ever the hell they call that idiot. Take a bible and shove it up your ass dumb fuck

  • @dogman12389 You see how this guy talks so filthy to me and has never even met me. This is what I'm talking about. rock is a very bad influence, try not to listen to it. lIsten to something beautiful.

I pray you all come to your senses and that God blesses all of you, even the guy who cussed me out.

  • @williamsfilms1 Well if it wasnt for rock n roll my parents would've never met and i wouldnt have been born. Meanwhile christianity has caused more deaths than any band. Then it criticises our music?! the fucking nerve!

  • @Libertinedreamful Real Christians have never killed anyone. You are easily deceived.

  • I fucking love this cover, how amazing are Hole?! <3

  • oh my god i love courtrny love

  • oh my god i love courtrny

  • Takes me back to the 90's,fucking right! Very nostalgic!

  • The bass player is way hot.

  • Comment removed

  • definately made me cry, made me break down, shattered my illusion of cover songs

  • @hammfatt Yeah, this is definitely painful to listen to!!!

  • you dont like it,dont listen to it dumb shit

  • @hammfatt CL did this cover 'cause she loves Stevie Nicks. To be fair, NO ONE can sing that song like Stevie, so I agree on that note. Maybe Courtney shoulda just SAID she loved Stevie instead of doing the cover in punk version. I dunno. what I'd really like to hear is Stevie singing to this faster, harder guitar version.

  • Love this, Hole are my favourite band ever but I must admit I do love the Fleetwood Mac version which I discovered after, a little bit more.

  • she rocks i seen her live in kansas city kansas around 1995

  • Hole was always one of my favorite bands growing up. :) No offense to Fleetwood Mac, I know they wrote the original, but I tried listening to the original version after this and just found it boring.
