I reckon this recording not only to be the most beautiful rendition of this piece but also one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Thank you very much.
This has been my favorite piece of music since I heard Klaus Nomi's version of it at the end of "Urgh, A Music War". This has to be the best I've heard yet. Btw, Ive been playing guitar by ear for 30 years and thought I was pretty good, but watching this is humbling.
Your by-ear arrangements are always beautifully faithful to the nuances of the original. This one is no exception. Jackie Wilson sang the tune in 1960, with the words: "Night, here comes the night...." Thanks for yet another extremely enjoyable listening experience. All the best!
hahaha, I just read the description. Sorry for being an idiot. Guess I'm gonna have to give you an extra 150 views or so from just sitting here trying to learn it.
i was really curious how a guitar version would sound, after hearing a cello and of course the inimitable shirley verrett. this is fantastic, really well done. any chance of a tab or sheet music or anything? would love to impress a mezzo friend of mine with this.
This is a terrific franscription and soulfully performed! A nice addition to the guitar repertoire as I don't think I've heard it done as a guitar solo. A new post from you, sir, always makes me stop and listen, knowing my day will be enriched. Thank you.
I've watched alot of videos and it's an impressive number of more and less complicated songs that you've learned.
I'm every now and then reminded by TV, radio and YouTube of songs that I had forgot that I could play. It's a shame but I guess you can't remember them all, at least I can't.
My question is, do you ever get back to most of your songs or do you just feel like learning a song, upload it to YouTube, play it for a few weeks or months and then just let it go and never play it again?
I do have to re-learn things after a while. It's a lot easier if i've already filmed a version of it though, as opposed to starting over again with the original. but for the most part, i just film and forget. thanks!
That was a thing of beauty. It sang to me. Thanks Tony, you've been making some inspired choices lately when choosing material and this one is no exception. Wonderful stuff.
This was so beautiful and relaxing. You make playing the guitar look so easy! I'm so glad that I found you on You tube. The passion you have for music, can be felt in every note and across the miles. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Que beleza de interpretação, uma música de difícil execução para o violão, dada a sustentabilidade necessária nas notas. Me arrrepiei meu, parabéns!!!!
Verse-moi, verse-moi l'ivresse! ******************************************************* Merci Tony, c'est fantastique!
My heart opens to your voice as the flowers open to the kisses of the morning! But, O my beloved, for better dry my tears, Let your voice speak again! Tell me that you come back forever Delilah! Repeat to my tenderness The oaths of the past, these oaths that I loved! Ah! respond to my tenderness! Pour me, pour me drunk! ************************************************** ***** Thank you Tony, it's fantastic!
I only know Muse from the ripping version of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" that was used on a sexy Virgin Atlantic Airlines ad. :D Now I want to hear them do this. Is there a youtube version?
@troubleclef Yes, it's on YouTube. You can search for "Mon Coeur...", but it's coupled with a song called "I Belong To You." I'd be interested to hear what you think of it. :-)
Nice job on the guitar! You have mastered that thing!
this is fantastic! Great playing! And yes, Muse's cover is called "I belong to you (+ Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Viox") I LOVE Muse - this was FANTASTIC live!
I dont know what I would do if this video is ever taken down from Youtube.
Just amazing,

The precise name is : Muse - I Belong To You / Mon Cœur S'ouvre À Ta Voix
You can find it a lot on you tube :)
Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix is in the middle of the song, they only do 2 minutes of it but it fits in really well.

guitar players playing both the singer and the orchestra
at the same time.
