Mate... They are my cars and my video. I know what I have uploaded and what I own. Infact, I didnt even OWN the Cadillac at the time I made the video of my Mercedes.
The car in the video is my Mercedes 300D, a 6 cyl. inline diesel from '91.
My Cadillac is not shown here and it is a 5,0 V8 gasoline from '86.
tommy is kritisizes every mercedes video u can find on youtube. and even if the video shows ´mercedes´ and u can clearly see that it is a mercedes (unless you´re blind) he still goes on ´nice caddy bla bla bla..´ so dont take this person seriously i think he is on drugs or something.. :P
so i got a question my 300d is an 1995 mopf 1 model and i want to know how much horespower do you have in your 300 d or do we have the same beacuse one of the machanics sad that the 95 mopf 1 model has more hp than the 93 is that true i think mine has about 125 130 hp i dont know i dont have my car papers here
My Mercedes (1990) is a 3.0 liter 12V inline-6 diesel with 113 PS (111 hp/83 kW) 191 N·m (141 ft·lbf) Im not sure we have the same engine. Yours could be a 3.2 liters since its from 1995. If that changes the amount of hp or just the torque, I dont know and I cant find any definitive numbers on the net. The best way to find out, is to check your chassis code. What are the first 6 numbers? E.g mine are 124.130.
yeah thats the problem my car is in serbia it's gettin his new paintjob so i will get it at the end of february but as soon as i get my car i will tell you
The Mercedes W124 300D 1989 till 1993 has 113PS. The facelift model 1993-1995 has 136PS. It's not because of the engine's cui. They are both 3Liter engines, but the facelift model has 24 Valves and maybe some motormanagement changes.
Yes, I think so! And a good smell too:) The newer diesel engines (mostly CDI's), have a different sound and (I think) an awfull smell. You can hear the old 300 has 6 cyl. With the newer engines, its a bit more tricky. Perhaps its just something you have to get used to...
The oldest 300Ds from 1975-85 were 5-cylinder derivatives of the 240D 4-cyl diesel models. The 6-cyl 300Ds (which by 1993 were 3.2 liters) of course dated from 1986-93.
gotta love the w124

Exactly! And I just love how it sounds. I have Inline 6 petrol engine in mine but for my taste the diesel 6 sounds just as good!

Yes you´re right. Now i have an W210 220CDI from 1998 with 143hp (in the car paper 125hp[look at my video]).
The engin is good but not so good than the 300D. The 300D isn`t much slower than the 220CDI.
