  • Cox & Time Warner have a lot of noise on the line because it can use up to 2 miles of coaxial cabling from the node. FIOS has the least distortion because the fiber is to the curb. Unplugging, disconnecting and rebooting works temporarily, because you are grounding the signal and removing some noise.

  • I have the same issue with Directv at times. Either way, I'm getting rid of satellite and cable. Too expensive

  • Everyone on our street has this problem. Just dumped Cox for FIOS. I couldn't take it anymore. Cox tried to tell me this was "normal". Ummmm, no it isn't. Goodbye Cox!

  • if your neighbors are having issues too,its gonna be a bad tap at the street,or you all have shit configuation and signal

  • looks like they are recording on a dvr that the hard drive is full need to get rid of some of the recordings

  • @tom43190 Are you saying that trying to record when the hard drive is full can cause picture issues with the live broadcast?

  • you have 1 of two problems. either you have a low signal inside the house or there is a problem coming from the pole. both would cause tiling. set up a trouble call and have them check both.

  • Unless someone can be there to see it happen, troubleshooting the problem is like taking shots in the dark. Just like any other repair situation. I'll bet posting a YouTube video of it happening won't fix it.

  • @therongdoer it happens across the country apparently, and to one of my neighbors who freakin works for Cox....

  • What city are you in?

  • @bustergrn Roanoke, VA.. My neighbors on my street have the same problem.

  • @jfrayzier we've having this issue in freaking Omaha, Nebraska. Fuck Cox
