@blacknessboy666 You can search it yourself.... its complicated, the story is much more elaborated, and no Shinnok had nothing to do with this to begin with, MK9 its MK2 after Raiden send a message to his past self when Armaggeddon was inminent. But other shit happened anyways. Liu Kang became mad and thristy of revenge after seeing almost all of his friends and Kitana dying, and didnt want to listen to Raiden´s plan to defetat Shao Kahn forever. Raiden fought Liu and ended up killing him.

@blacknessboy666 Some shit was averted, Raiden exploited a kind of gap hole in the Elder Gods judgment regarding Shao Kahn and the Mortal Kombat, and was able to - with their powers - kill him (seemingly once and for all). But still some shit still has to be solved, because in the end Shinnok did plan some of this stuff, and well, we will have to wait and see what happens next, as Shao Kahn wasn´t the only bad guy in all the saga, Onaga, Quan chi, Shang Tsung... but it got interesting at least.
