  • rainymood com

  • his music is full of sadness. kieran hebden has got to be a sad guy.

  • @bbok12

you know what they say, pain and sadness bring out the best art

  • @ping6uod he is great artist no question about it. but when i see how many people proclaim they are so in pain and sadness. that would make a lot of brilliant artists too. hah! just a proovy point words are meaningless. probably reason why we dont need lyrics in these types of music.

  • I put this song on when I was driving through the city like at dusk in rush hour and i was stoned and omg it was perfect

  • IM SO SURE...WHOA

  • 6:41

  • This anoher perk of life. Thank u.

  • Super!!! Thanks Spotify for introducing to this band

  • @PIKEBUSS: Where you should be off to is the rehab center.

  • @ScribTheTreeHugger That was hilarious and very accurate...Ya know, his comment has 5 thumbs up and yours has none, that's just one of many sad facts of life that positive remarks on drugs get liked...I thumbed up your comment as much as It would let me, so I hope it makes a difference. Everyone on YT thinks it's so cool to talk about drugs even though It makes them look like complete douches....Let's talk about the music, shall we? Anyway, good job! Even if it was just meant for humor purposes!

  • I SMOKE CRACK TO DIS, AFTER THAT IM OFF TO OUTER SPACE

  • @PIKEBUSS

You don't need drugs when you realise that art itself is the best drug.

  • @EbbeneShi You don't need art when you realize that drugs themselves are the best art.

  • @giftedcherub Even as an artist and long-term recreational drug user I disagree with this statement. Great track though.

  • @EbbeneShi i used to get high on art all the time(music, making art, viewing shows, worrying), then when i was 16 I got high and made art and listened to music and viewed art and it was very different to say the least :p nothin like florida green.

  • @EbbeneShi Art is an amazing thing, but Im tired of people pidgeonholing all drugs as bad things. For instance, there is no physical damage caused to a person when they take mushrooms, and the mushroom experience is mindblowingly beautiful. I realize that art is incredible and I spend hours every day just listening to music while I'm sober and doing nothing else, but its still a fact that certain drugs make all your senses more pleasurable, thus making the experience of art even more gorgeous.

  • perfect!!!!

  • listen to this in the middle of the woods.

  • This might be the best band I have discovered in my life because of its capacity to musicaly interpret very correctly passages of life and wonderful stories.

  • cool bass line :)

  • this song makes me feel in sync with the universe. four tet has, right here niailed the rythm of life.

  • 1 dislike? FOOL!

  • Pause might still be my favorite.

  • @bohemiandonut : wooord! 'Pause' is my fav, too! :)

  • the chopped up harmonics in this are very nice

  • dubstep? ... not even close... how about just downtempo... or "chillout" even.

  • @RamytRamyt or minimalism? :)

  • sit back.

    smoke a bong.

    chillled . . . . .

  • Hell yeah dude. I'm right there

  • 4:28 is absolutely incredible! anyone else agree?

  • totally!

  • @Jovishovis 4:28 is the moment you go from cruisin to flyin

  • @Jovishovis dude at the risk of sounding fucking dumb, i reckon i could simultaneously throw up my stomach and orgasm to 4:28!! tis fucking incredible

  • @Jovishovis sounds much like bonobo

  • @Latruiequifile ,,, yes I notice as well, seems to much for me to __eyesdown__ of bonobo

  • @Latruiequifile Haven't heard much of Four Tet (except their works with Burial), but I definitely agree for this particular track. I plan to check out more Four Tet stuff sure. :)

  • The more I learn from this guy, the more I love it! And who says they don't make good music anymore?!

  • does anyone know where i could get that jumper from in the picture

  • Tubular bells

  • you think "four tet" is a maximum weed schill tune?? foolish, dubstep my friend

tes la rok round the world girls

  • christ man really? thats not even a good dub tune let alone a good dubstep tune. and i was one of the first lot to fly him to the Uk before you go mental!

There a lot more diversity to music my friend! all good though.

  • arite then if you think so. what are YOUR onpinions on this tune then cragga-mr postman

  • its a nicely made track that also happens to be one of Hebdens more coherent productions. does benefit from not having the 'dance music' tag so he avoids the obvious limitations of producing tracks with a mind to them being played mainly by djs. Which is a problem a lot of dubstep has these days,5 years back it was so fresh influences came from everywhere. thats stuffs still out there just swamped under endless drab caspa/rusko clones.

each to their own though man, personal taste is great!

  • safe at first i thought you were a twat but you sound like a down to earth guy not like most ppl on youtube who usally start to try and act ard through th net lol

  • no worries man, likewise.

Dubsteps just a sore point for me! I flew quite a lot of acts over for there first Bristol gigs a few years back and the popular side of the music thats around today i'm not really feeling as much as the wider range of sounds that seemed to be in it before. You know stuff like Clouds, Eskmo, Jazzsteppa, Secret Agent Gel and that. ah well things change got to accept it.

Just guess i like the deeper stuff, kinda why i like stuff like this as well.

    cheers!

  • check the favourite i have on my youtube account and tell me if theres is anything you like ther bruv

  • There's still tons of good artists that still make the deeper side of dubstep. They just don't get played as much by DJs as the "heavy dirty" dubstep.

Get the 5 year of Hyperdub compilation.

  • @simoncosa

do you know any other artist that make music like four tet?

  • Check out Tycho! A bit less like Four Tet: Dntel, Styrofoam, Xela

  • @xxblackskyxx

Burial, Bonobo, Boards of Canada, Manitoba... each one is uniquely themself

but they share a certain orbit sometimes

  • very well said mate.

  • This isn't dub step?

  • i know it isnt dubstep i was just saying that the best tunes to chill to in m opinion are dubstep tunes i know bare lol.safe

  • NOOOO

  • @Penfish2k homo

  • @Penfish2k You are so right my friend.

  • Just like Bonobo with a little bit of FAT BASS :)

  • what instrument is that at the start?

  • sounds like harpsichord. doubt it's a real one though.

  • thanks. i thought he really owned 100 different, distinct instruments. keyboards weren't invented when he composed this during the baroque period.

  • i love this tune!!!

  • quality tune

  • :))

  • this is sublime

  • Hell i am diversely impressed loves you.

  • So do I !!! here in France don't find any ... but I keep on searching !
