it's not irrational to oppose a backwards political ideology that mandates war, wife-beating, child marriage and is incompatible with freedom of speech, religion, and expression. so stop trying to make anyone who criticizes islam to be some crazy person with a phobia.

and check the gender gap report that the world economic forum publishes every year. the middle east and north africa is the lowest, and that's a direct result of sharia law in action (not misinterpretation or misapplication). the lowest countries are muslim countries.

He is right. European legacy is not built upon just greek, roman or judeochristian legacy it is also built upon struggle against Islam, be it reconquista in SW Europe or centuries long effort to repel Turks from SE Europe and Balkans. Sorry Mr. Ramadan, Islam is NOT a European religion, it will never be and it was always perceived as an alien element.

Personally I believe that Europe would have little to no Muslims if it weren't for the West's economic domination of the last few centuries. To me, its all economics.

And yes if Muslims keep on pushing for sharia, burqas and all those wonderful features of Islam and ignore the secular consensus which took 600 years and tremendous human toll to achieve, they will be percieved as alien regardless of being technically French, German or whatever

And there's actually a valid reason why he doesn't want people to clap. When i was standing next to him, a women came and said to him something along the lines, that he should let people clap, it adds another dimention to the talk. His response was very clever, he said that he doesn't want people to clap because he's teaching people. And just as in a classroom you wouldnt clap for your teacher who's teaching you, you shouldnt clap for me!

@chaoui71 Not matter what passport you have if you don't accept European culture and culture and European values you will never be seen as European. Maybe you don't like it but it is up to you to change it! You can travel freely but in a Burkha people will never see you as European.
