Thanks for all the HVAC videos. I'm retrofitting my 100 year old house with heating ducts and vents in a couple weeks, and I think I'm off to a good start.
naw. i was replying to the dude below. talking shit about industrial installs. the video is good. been doing this a long time, and i have every one of those tools. as i stated below.
Industrial has split systems in their offices, network rooms, etc, just like everywhere else. Thats a good start for anyone in hvac. industrial workers = fucking lazy, slow douchebags.
@hvacbuck whatever you say, i wasnt trying to be rude but didnt know if you were talknig shit or what really so i just said uh ok but hey talk all the shit you want i dont care anymore this vid. sucks ass so what dont watch it simple as that
@jasonhhh100 right essentially yes maybe i need to change the name i never said i was some big shot fucking ductmaster not that your saying that but people just seem to be taking this the wrong way wtf
@robert1988420 If you're on a Big commercial project, then where's your 9/16 wrench? Your line up pin? Your clip tool? .. but then again, you don't know what I'm talking about do you .... You just run S and Drive duct, and that's what tells me you would be totally lost on a big commercial project
@TreyLutrash man that shit is old what are you 60 you hardly ever see pittsburg or whatever it is your talkn about anymore maybe on a huge highrise for the trunk line but besides that fuck off if you know so much about the shit y arent you studying prints or doing a takeoff or something or are you just a scared lonely old man that thinks he could have been something in the hvac world id much rather do service anyways who wants to be a duct-monkey their whole life like you probly have been
@robert1988420 I'm referring to TDC duct which is manufactured on a coil line (plasma cut), then bolted together with a gasket inbetween. Note I said "Big commercial project"
Now as far as you go ... You sure are proud of your duct monkey tools, for a guy that doesn't want to be a duct monkey. I'm actually doing you a favor. Get into the Big time industrial duct and you'll have a 4 day work week and make the same money as a service guy who's working till 9 every night and on call all weekend.
@TreyLutrash watever u say man i know how it goes together didnt know how it was manufactured nor did i care but you are still a dumbass for twisting my reasons for making this vid or having the tools. who gives a fuck? i can learn anything i want so i wont be lost anywhere. you obviously just down anybody that must have been doing better than you were when you were young
@TreyLutrash fuck industrial installs man... you are stuck in the same damn jobs for 1-4 years screw that. I would rather be dealing with hot moms than stuck with buncha dudes all day long. Residential/Commercial work makes much more money if you are good tech. I promise you are not the one out there selling the equipment either. which gets ya loads of cash.
Decent starter tool set. Gets the job done and that's what counts. I like the Fieldpiece stuff. I've used Malco and Wiss snips, tongs and crimpers. Neither is any better than the other. Duct knives don't last very long, no matter the brand. I abuse mine properly so I should get 4-5 years out of it.
